My son has now been at Muddy Boots Nursery for 16 months and all I can say is what an amazing place. From the staff to the children everyone has a fantastic attitude to making sure this really is the best nursery around. My son absolutely loves going to Muddy Boots and even at 2 talks about the things he has done while there. The correspondence with parents from the nursery is 2nd to none with constant updates of what is happening with the nursery. If anyone in the York area is looking for a nursery to take their child look no further than Muddy Boots Nursery it really is the best around.

Communication is very good. There is a real family feel. They provide lots of stimulating activities. The staff are excellent. My children are very happy there. My daughter comes home singing the songs she has learnt and telling us all about the staff and the other children.

Our son has now attended Muddy Boots for almost two months. After understandable early worries about how he would settle, we have been comforted and reassured by the caring, professional approach of the staff to him and the happy, positive time he has there. He talks about the staff when not at nursery and it has now become a place he enjoys going, where he is treated as an individual and his wants and needs are met. We feel very confident leaving him with the happy, positive Muddy Boots team knowing he will have a lovely time and want to tell us all about it. Big thank you to all the staff for making him feel so important and special. Looking forward to the big move to the new site!

My daughter seems to have really enjoyed her first month at Muddy Boots, you can see the excitement in her when we arrive. Her development is coming along and so are her socialising skills. Those working with her daily are great, they show energy, understanding and support.

I have some small concerns around communication amongst them but on the whole, I'm happy with what we've experienced so far.

My daughter is so happy and settled at Muddy Boots. The staff are amazing with her, they are engaging, encouraging and will happily give her a cuddle if she needs or wants one! The atmosphere throughout is warm and friendly. I couldn't be more impressed or satisfied with Muddy Boots, the staff and the care that my daughter receives. Although I believe that it will be even better when the setting relocates to their purpose built site soon.

My child has been attending Muddy Boots since he was 7 months. They made the transition to full time care happen really smoothly. He loves attending and has made some great relationships with both his carers and little friends. He regularly comes home dirty and tired which shows me he is having a wonderful time learning things outdoors. He has grown in such confidence over the past year and a half that he has been attending.

This nursery is excellent, my son has settled very well there and the staff are fabulous. I have no previous experience of other nurseries to relate to however everything I had hoped for has been exceeded. It's fun, the staff are flexible and my little boy is gaining confidence and skills by the day. He's been there since the start of March and he has grown so far. There is space there that I just don't have at home for all the messy play he gets to do.

He gets to try new food, new activities and they have all the learning toys you could think of.

They obviously watch the children well as the two times he has bumped his head he's been well looked after and absolutely fine.

They respond to any e-mails/questions I have in a prompt manner and I couldn't ask for anything more.

A fantastic nursery with caring and friendly staff and great facilities with plenty of space inside and out. Muddy Boots has gone from strength to strength since we started using the nursery in 2012. I couldn't ask for more from our childcare. The biggest clue is seeing my happy little toddler who's always smiling when I pick him up at the end of the day. You can tell he's had a good time. I love the fact that the children spend plenty of time outside and go for little adventures in the local area. Things can only get better when they get to the new premises just up the road. The management and owners hold regular parents forums where you can hear more about what's going on at nursery and can ask any questions. They have been keeping us up to date with plans for the new site too and we have asked for our input and ideas as well. Can highly recommend this nursery to all.

Muddy Boots is an extremely friendly and welcoming nursery where all the staff seem totally committed to providing excellent childcare. Our son has been attending for a few months now in the baby room and could not be happier - he has a huge grin on his face as soon as he arrives on a morning and its still there when we pick him up!! Lovely atmosphere, great ethos and a great variety of activities each day. We are delighted with our choice of nursery!

It was so refreshing to find a nursery that learned towards more natural surrounding. The children get to use their imaginations by playing with cardboard boxes, sand, wooden blocks, bubble wrap, mud! The staff are really friendly and I believe they cater for the individual child. My little girl needs some extra care and they provide it so well and it gives me great peace of mind.

My three year old attends Muddy Boots twice a week and adores it, all the staff in all the room are so friendly, kind and approachable. My daughter has recently moved up to the Pre School there, the transition was well managed and seamless with my daughter remaining happy and excited throughout. My 10 month is due to start in 2 months and I am relaxed about her settling in with a home visit and settling in sessions already arranged. There is so much space at the nursery and the numbers are purposefully kept lower than they have to be which ensures the children have space and that it is not as busy and chaotic as other nurseries I have visited. I would not hesitate to recommend Muddy Boots to any friends or family members.

Muddy Boots has been incredibly supportive of our child since she started two years ago. They have eased all developmental transitions and have really looked after her well being. All the staff are approachable, polite and very friendly. Our daughter loves her time at Muddy Boots. Her capability and skills have come on leaps and bounds since she started and a huge success of this has been linked with the activities they do and the time they spend outside.

I grew up in the countryside, my life consisted of Mud pies, dens and lots of play. I didn't want my boy to miss out on this special time being able to get 'stuck in'. From the moment I read about Muddy Boots I knew this would be a good a fit. The current building is basic. It doesn't have the bells and whistles that other places use. It is honest in its operation. What they have gets poured in to the children. It's not about wasting a fortune on toys of the month to satisfy their curiosities, it's about tangible fun. Buying stuff that stimulates the senses today then it is on to something new tomorrow. It's about getting dirty (trust me my son is only 7 months and he is already going through clothes and that is not a bad thing). They go outside everyday weather permitting and they love it, mud glorious mud...

The staff truly care for my son and it;s a second family for him. You can tell they love working there, I credit my sons development to their amazing support. Thank you xxx

Our son loves going to Muddy Boots. They encourage fair play and friendship. My son plays outside every day doing various activities which is very important to us. The staff at Muddy Boots are excellent and really give each child individual care. I feel that the pre-school is the perfect precursor to primary school.

The staff are all very friendly. When dropping they are attentive to the child and listen to anything I may need to tell them. When picking up the handover is thorough and they are always clear and aware of who they are speaking about. My child always appears to have enjoy his time there.

They are well equipped and the food looks to be a good quality meal. The cover a range of activities and it sounds like my child always gets a fun packed day. They get to spend time outside which I value highly. I feel I made an excellent choice with this nursery.
