Located conveniently at Imjin Barracks, The Old Station Nursery Innsworth is a sustainable setting that provides exceptional care to local military families. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The eco-friendly building incorporates sustainable features such as a sedum roof, solar water heating, and rainwater harvesting, promoting a greener and healthier environment.

Inside, the nursery team are dedicated to fostering and nurturing the unique qualities of each child. Babies have their own room to explore and grow at their own pace, with plenty of soft play equipment and toys to aid their development. As they become more confident, they move to the Tots room, where they experience a mix of child-led learning and structured activities.

For Pre-School children, there is a diverse range of activities designed to enrich their learning and development. The team make sure to prepare children for school to ensure a smooth transition, with ample opportunities for them to learn through play.

The nursery’s focus on eco-friendly practices encourages children to spend time outdoors, no matter the weather, in the beautiful nursery garden.

This nursery is just the best. I have had a child in this setting for 5 years now and throughout the Covid 19 pandemic, they worked tirelessly to provide support to me and my family. The staff are committed and dedicated and help me out at short notice which I am so, so grateful for. I cannot thank
everyone enough and would not hesitate to recommend this nursery setting to anyone.

My son has enjoyed his time at Innsworth nursery from the very beginning. He started as a little baby (just 7 months!) and has gone through to Tots and almost pre-school. He has grown and developed such an appetite for learning, not just in relation to education, but also socially. It has been such
a lifesaver in the throws of Covid lockdowns to know he is in a safe and loving environment, and able to be a young child as much as possible with an ongoing pandemic. The variety of activities that the children are able to experience week in and week out is vast and enjoyable. There is great food offered, my son regularly eats everything and seconds! The outdoor space has lots of great things to do for children, all the best fun is dirty and they are always trying new things. I am kept up to date with photos and regularly have conversations with his key person. My son has developed into a confident young child, thanks massively to the care and support he has with Innsworth nursery.

My son has settled in really well. Being born in lockdown, I was worried about how he would interact with so many children, but all the staff have made it really smooth and as easy as possible and he has even learnt to say the staff names! He has learnt so many new things, including dancing and is developing
really well thanks to the care he receives.

My son loves his nursery - Old Station nursery in Innsworth. All the carers are very understanding and professional. My son always comes home happy and full of enjoyment of what he has learnt in his group. There seems to be a lot of singing and dancing going on which is wonderful! Keep up the good work.
The only small thing I would like to highlight is the cleanliness of the outdoor space (sorry can't comment on the indoor space). Please make some improvements on cleaning the outdoor area.

The highest of praise that I can give for a superb Nursery that I would recommend to my closest friends. Quite simply, a wonderful place that has fantastic staff who care about the children and the things they do at the nursery. My son loved it and my daughter is loving it now. A report is verbally
provided at the end of each session which is a great way to know what they've been doing. Totally, totally recommended.

The staff are brilliant. Very friendly and engaging with my daughter. A modern environment with lots of things to do and a slide that my daughter won’t leave alone. Helpful debrief at the end of each day and love to see the photos uploaded to the app. Very considerate to privacy blurring out other children.

My daughter has been enrolled at The Old Station since she was about 9 months old, she is now 3 and in the pre-school room. The nursery is such a friendly, safe place. All the staff are fantastic, professional, friendly and informative. Everyone knows everyone, especially if a child has grown up in
the nursery, moving through each room. It is a wonderful setting and has a range of equipment to meet the needs of children of all ages. I know my child is safe and happy there when I leave her to go to work. I would absolutely recommend this nursery to anyone.

The staff at The Old Station Nursery, Innsworth are wonderful. They make sure to meet my child’s needs whilst he is there and he is doing really well now. It’s a lovely setting and I would recommend it to families in the area.

All my children love it here. They go in so happy and enjoy their time there. I’m very happy with their progress and have a good relationship with their staff. If I ever have any queries, they answer very quickly. One thing I think could make an improvement to modernise the nursery would be to use an
app to monitor them in the day, rather than having to use the paper notes for baby handover.

I've used The Old Station Nursery for both of my sons in the last 6 years and both are are very happy here and all the staff are so friendly, lovely and supportive. My son always goes into nursery happy and comes out happy so I know that he is enjoying his time there and it is ideal for him.

I have always known my daughter was well cared for at this nursery and that none of the others I looked at compared. She's gone right through from babies to preschool and comes home singing songs about phonics and telling me about the sports she has tried and interesting activities. My favourite thing
last month was when she showed me how she had been taught to put her coat on using a special trick. I have been getting her to show everyone. She absolutely loves all of the preschool staff, as she did the staff in the other rooms. I can't speak highly enough of this nursery and look forward to my second daughter starting there soon. Some of the meals seem a little 'grown up' such as minted lamb stew, but great that little ones are getting a chance to try these things in a way. There are always snacks regularly if a child really dislikes a food.

Great standard, lovely staff. My daughter enjoyed going to nursery. She learnt different things and socialized with other children very well. Staff are very friendly, patient and caring. They condition children positively and give good attention to every child. I would recommend this nursery!

My son attended this nursery in the preschool room for 18 months before he started school and my daughter is currently in the preschool room. The staff are very friendly and care deeply about the children in their care. They work tirelessly to provide a wealth of experiences and activities that cover
all the areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. My son's key worker worked very hard to support him as he has Special Needs. My daughter's key worker has developed a lovely bond with her in a very short space of time. The other week she told me that she didn't want to leave nursery (as we got into the car in the nursery car park) as she missed her key worker. The dedication and professionalism of all the staff throughout the nursery is second to none and I would highly recommend this setting.

My daughter loves attending nursery and seeing the staff, everyone is super lovely. I’ve noticed a huge change in her confidence, intelligence and independence. She is always coming home showing new skills. I highly recommend Old Station Nursery to anyone.

Very friendly staff. My kid loves to go here. Prefers it over home! Key workers give feedback every day at pickup. Work well with parents. Love the weekly photos as well. Pay very good attention to any allergy and health condition that a child may have.

My daughter has flourished since I moved her from another nursery. I found the Tots room amazing and very communicative about what she did, what she enjoyed and mentioning things that I need to be aware of. In pre-school, the observations and communications are not as frequent as they were in Tots.
I would say I received better information and explanations in Tots room, but that could be because of the individuals and different key persons and styles.

One of the most loved about The Old Station Nursery is its very friendly staff. All the staff are very competent, caring and passionate about their job. My daughter absolutely loves going there, and I am very happy for her. She has gained a lot of confidence and has learned a lot.

We have been using this nursery for the last 5-years for both of my children. The nursery is excellent with really friendly and professional staff. The staff always make you and your child feel important, and they are very approachable. We have recommended on several occasions to family and friends.
My daughter always comes back exhausted from a busy fun-packed day. The menu always has very healthy nutritious meals planned. We couldn’t have asked for a better nursery.

My 1-year and 3-year old daughters have been attending this nursery for the past 6 months. One of the best nursery that I have used so far. Both kids settled in with ease in their new environment. The key carers for my kids are amazing. I like the fact that they acknowledge any issues/gaps in my children’s
progression and are committed to resolving them. I find that all the other staff members in the babies room and preschool room are experienced, highly motivated and well-trained for the social and emotional development of kids. Further, the nursery manager has provided us extra support when required by accommodating kids during holidays. A big thank you to the amazing team!

Innsworth staff have been brilliant with my child since he started. As an only child he never bonded with other children his age and his speech was very limited. Since then his speech has come on so much and gets on with all the children, also all the lovely staff. I'm so glad I chose them as if there
are any concerns they sort it out straight away, they've been very supportive and I always recommend Old Station Nursery to family and friends.

We are a very welcoming and caring team, who are dedicated to all families and children.
