Located conveniently at Imjin Barracks, The Old Station Nursery Innsworth is a sustainable setting that provides exceptional care to local military families. The eco-friendly building incorporates sustainable features such as a sedum roof, solar water heating, and rainwater harvesting, promoting a greener and healthier environment.

Inside, the nursery team are dedicated to fostering and nurturing the unique qualities of each child. Babies have their own room to explore and grow at their own pace, with plenty of soft play equipment and toys to aid their development. As they become more confident, they move to the Tots room, where they experience a mix of child-led learning and structured activities.

For Pre-School children, there is a diverse range of activities designed to enrich their learning and development. The team make sure to prepare children for school to ensure a smooth transition, with ample opportunities for them to learn through play.

I am very happy with this nursery! I have two kids, one was until recently in the tot's room, and one is still in the baby room, and both are absolutely amazing. My little girl has not cried once ever since she started when I leave her at nursery, and she loves her key worker and happily goes to him
every morning, which makes it so much easier for me to leave them!


The staff are wonderful, management is absolutely amazing; they always take the time in the morning to ask about how your kid was, and then at pick up time, explaining everything the child did, how much food they had etc. Always smiling and always very kind.


I can say that I am very comfortable to leave my kids with them as I can see how much my kids love the staff and vice versa, and I can see how well looked after my kids are here!

A wonderful setting where staff go above and beyond to care for my son. The staff are wonderful with the children, and my son looks forward to his nursery days. He has gained so much from being at The Old Station Nursery, socially, emotionally and cognitively. The manager is brilliant; she always does
her best to be flexible when I need extra hours here and there because of work. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Old Station Nursery to anyone looking for a setting for their child.

The staff at The Old Station Nursery are so attentive and caring. Whenever I contact them, they are quick to respond and always really helpful.
My daughter loves going into nursery and always comes home bubbling away telling me about all the things she’s been doing.
Her social skills have come on
so much since she’s attended nursery, and she learns so much from all the activities the staff set up.

We have had an excellent experience with the nursery since my son started in September 2020. The staff are all very friendly and approachable; they clearly love their jobs and genuinely care about the children. They do loads of fun activities and give good feedback at collection time about what they
have been up to. My son always comes out happy and excited to tell me about his day. His key worker updates the app very efficiently with lots of photos of what he’s been up to for us to see, which is lovely. Most importantly, my son absolutely loves going and talks about his key worker lots at home! It has been great to see his independence and confidence grow since he started attending.

This nursery is absolutely fantastic; it's always so unnerving sending your little ones to the nursery for the first time, but they are so lovely and put your mind at ease straight away. My youngest never liked to stay with anyone else, even family, so the idea of sending him to nursery was really quite
stressful! But he tells us one of the workers; is his best friend!


Both of my children have attended this nursery, I'm pregnant with my 3rd, and will 100% send my child here when the time comes, even if I move out of the area, it's worth the drive to a nursery I am confident will provide such good care for my children.

The Old Station Nursery is highly recommended!
Both my girls started nursery at the age of 10-months.
One is 5 at school, and the other is 3 currently in the preschool room.
My children have loved going there.
The staff are so lovely and so welcoming, and they take excellent care of the children.
The
learning journey has been so wonderful to see, both my daughters have learnt so much with being there too.

Fantastic nursery facilities and the staff are great! We have been using them for 3 years now and remain highly satisfied with the care that they provide for our children. Very easy to speak to all levels of staff. You just have to spend some time in one of the rooms to understand that the children

The nursery and all the staff have made going back to work much easier as they are all so happy and helpful and the nursery is so clean that it has made leaving my little boy easier.
The food they feed my little boy is great and varied. The team in the under 2's are the best and have helped my little
boy come on with his development and learning and I will be very sad when we have to move in the summer of 2019.

My son went into The Old Station Nursery at 8 months old and is now 30 months. I’m withdrawing him from the nursery, only because we have just moved 100 miles away. I’m so so gutted to have to take him from this nursery because he loves it. I seriously doubt that I’ll find another nursery of the same
calibre near my new home. He has always been happy to go in and always has a great time. I’ve always had the impression that all of the staff genuinely enjoy what they do.


I can’t recommend this nursery highly enough.

This is a nurturing and caring setting where the children are well looked after and taken care of. They carry out a variety of different activities with the children each day including stories, cooking, painting and playing games outside.


The food provided seem very varied and lots of healthy options.


I

am particularly impressed by the time taken by staff at collection to give me a thorough handover of what has happened - I particularly love the personal touch passing on assistance/things said. Highly recommend this setting. Love that they also have pets.

My daughter has attended Old Station for the last two years and my youngest has recently joined the baby room. I cannot fault this nursery. The staff are passionate and enthusiastic, they are always thinking of creative ideas to engage the children. The nursery really focuses on developing and encouraging
the children, paying attention to next steps and supporting them to achieve these. Parents are kept fully engaged with their children's progress, through online journals and they are always open to feedback to improve the nursery further. The nursery offers varied and healthy meals which change seasonally. In addition, the nursery invests in extra-curricular activities such as tatty bumpkin yoga and cookery classes etc which further add to the children's enjoyment and development. It also actively encourages the children to get outside and explore the outdoors at every opportunity. Old Station is truly deserving of the recent outstanding rating.

My children have now attended The Old Station Nursery for over 5 years in total and I have always been caring, conscientious, pro- active and have really taken an interest in the happiness and development of my children. I have never had cause for complaint and from quite early on, myself and my children
felt comfortable about them going to nursery - they have always had a good day and I have always received excellent feedback on their day from staff. My only issue was that I wasn't able to use government funded hours over 2 days but the fact that I overlooked this is a testament to this nursery and its excellent staff.

This is a first class nursery and I recommended without hesitation. Out two sons have been at this nursery since they were little and have received outstanding care. We as a family have been supported whole heartedly by management (manager is excellent) and by the most caring and devoted team of staff
parents could wish for. They care for each child (and family) as individuals and always have their best interests at the centre of all they do. Outstanding thank you for everything we are sad to finish nursery life. Have recommended to several friends already without hesitation.

Hello, I'm Alex and I'm the Nursery Manager here at The Old Station Nursery Innsworth. I am qualified Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies.


We are a very welcoming and caring team, who are dedicated to all families and children. We want to ensure that every child has the same opportunities to progress and develop in a safe and stimulating environment. We aim to give the children the best start in life and ensure a seamless progression into school.
