Located conveniently at Imjin Barracks, The Old Station Nursery Innsworth is a sustainable setting that provides exceptional care to local military families. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The eco-friendly building incorporates sustainable features such as a sedum roof, solar water heating, and rainwater harvesting, promoting a greener and healthier environment.

Inside, the nursery team are dedicated to fostering and nurturing the unique qualities of each child. Babies have their own room to explore and grow at their own pace, with plenty of soft play equipment and toys to aid their development. As they become more confident, they move to the Tots room, where they experience a mix of child-led learning and structured activities.

For Pre-School children, there is a diverse range of activities designed to enrich their learning and development. The team make sure to prepare children for school to ensure a smooth transition, with ample opportunities for them to learn through play.

The nursery’s focus on eco-friendly practices encourages children to spend time outdoors, no matter the weather, in the beautiful nursery garden.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge Thank you to each and every member of staff at the old Station Nursery who have helped to shape and guide my son into the lovely little boy that he is today.
His Journey has been a challenge and full of many obstacles but with the support and guidance
of management and his key workers we achieved the outcome he rightfully deserved and he is off to a school that he will now thrive and flourish in.
I will forever be grateful for all the wonderful opportunities that have been given to my son, from taking extra time and planning to include him in all day to day activities and helping to create some extra special memories with the photos and gifts for Mothers Day, these gifts I will hold on tightly to forever.
Most days he enters and leaves with the biggest smile, he may not talk but we know the day has been fun and filled with care and attention by the smiles on his face at collection. You have been a huge part to his puzzle! Thank you.

Our little boy is thriving here thanks to the amazing staff, who have formed fantastic bonds with him - particularly his key person. Since he started here, we've seen huge leaps in his confidence, talking, walking, and playing. We love the updates we get on the app and the handovers at the end of the
day, hearing about everything he has got up to and achieved. We find there is a variety of activities on offer, ensuring he is having plenty of while learning news skills. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and there to help if there are questions/problems.

This is by far the best nursery around! The staff are all so compassionate and caring & nothing is too much trouble at all, and we've had our fair share of individual requests for our little man. He has been in nursery since he was 4.5 months old and OSN Innsworth has been amazing at helping him thrive
and get the very best out of everyday. We have yet to be told he's had a rubbish day at nursery. 1000% recommend!

We are extremely happy with Innsworth OSN. The manager has turned the nursery around with a particular member of staff by her side. We are so thankful for the work they do. Our daughter is so happy in the Pre School room. We are kept informed throughout the week of what she has been up to (in addition
to the daily pick up conversations) on Parentzone.
Great food choices, the amenities are clean & really well presented. I would 100% recommend this nursery.

Since my daughter moved to the Pre-school room she has flourished in skills and confidence. Her key worker and all of the staff in the room are brilliant.
Communication is not great and could be improved. Dates for events before the months it relates too would be helpful. We had two newsletters sent
4 days into a month and it was sent on the day for parents to attend an event but we did not realise as it was sent at 1pm.
The recent change in fees that will come into play from April is very concerning for us and we are actively searching to find childcare elsewhere or seriously considering reduce her hours.

Our son has been at The Old Station Nursery Innsworth for nearly a year now. The team in the baby room have been great at creating a safe place for him to play, explore and develop. His key worker are wonderful and he has been able to create a strong bond with his key worker and the team. He is always
excited to go to nursery and even talks about his key worker at home. It was always so important to us that he was happy in nursery setting and he is very happy here. The nursery are open to feedback and we feel they have responded well to any feedback we have given.

A few concerns at the beginning of the year surrounding staffing following a high turnover of staff members. However this seems to have eased throughout the year and has had a noticeable positive impact on how settled our child feels in the setting. Staff feel happier and communication with parents
has improved. In comparison to most other nurseries, the way the funded hours have been rolled out seems unfair on parents whose children only attend one day a week. We're not allowed to utilise the full hours we're entitled to, and are therefore paying (a lot) more than many other nurseries would charge.

My son has been going to The Old Station Nursery for roughly 18 months and has really enjoyed it so much. He has learnt a substantial amount and seems to come home with new dances, songs and experiences every time. The staff at The Old Station Nursery have been brilliant with him. They really care about
his well-being and development. His safety, whether he enjoys it and whether he is learning is at the top of our priority list and all of these boxes are ticked at The Old Station Nursery.

I have been extremely impressed with this nursery and how much my children have developed in such a short time, they have increased their confidence and ability to do different activities. They are learning to interact with others very well and seem very happy. The staff are very friendly and our helpful
everytime. I really like the regular reports I get from them on what my children have eaten and what they are doing during the day.

My son started this nursery at 9 months old. He is now a thriving, bubbly, very chatty 2-year-old who loves going to nursery.
The environment for the children is great for them to learn and explore. The staff have all been great and never had any problems. I would recommend this nursery to anyone and
everyone. My second child will also be starting at this nursery in May 2025.

Today was my daughter's last day at The Old Station Nursery from the day we visited for a show around she instantly felt at home. The staff are nothing but amazing and supportive. As a single mum, it has been difficult at times but the staff have always had time to help me where they could. I don't
care about Ofsted inspections my daughter has come home happy every day and has grown into a confident funny and cheeky little girl. Huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in her journey so far.

I wouldn't recommend! The headquarters see your children as profit and are very greedy. The billing team billed me nearly 2 weeks late into the first month, despite chasing, which created instant arrears as they want payment in advance. To keep me paying one month in advance, the billing team gave me
three days to pay half of December's bill, then the other half 2 weeks later, then January's bill 1 week after that (that's 3 months of fees in just over a month incl. what was already paid!). They even had the nerve to add a late fee when it was them who were late! I explained they were being unreasonable but they remained uncooperative and failed to acknowledge they are responsible for the issues. I had to pull my child out as they left me no other option and they couldn't care less about her. They'll come back with a crowd pleasing comment to this, to make themselves look good, but this isn't a company that cares about children (and I'm an ex nursery teacher so I know how it all works!).

Hello, I'm Alex and I'm the Nursery Manager here at The Old Station Nursery Innsworth. I am qualified Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies.


We are a very welcoming and caring team, who are dedicated to all families and children. We want to ensure that every child has the same opportunities to progress and develop in a safe and stimulating environment. We aim to give the children the best start in life and ensure a seamless progression into school.
