Victoria House Day Nursery & Pre-School

Our son is extremely happy with the team and clearly has a strong relationship with his carers. Always interesting activities going on and the outdoor space is exceptional. Communication from the team is excellent and timely. I can only give my thanks for doing a great job with our most precious boy.

In our 4 years of our son attending Victoria House Day Nursery (Marlow), we cannot fault the care and attention he has received. All the staff have been fantastic and genuinely helpful and thoughtful. Hopefully, our second child will be going there next year too. We have no reservations about recommending this nursery to our friends and colleagues. The development we've seen in our son compared to children at other nurseries is clear to see. The nursery staff are excellent at Victoria House; always very happy to talk about the child's emotional, social and educational progress and their activities during the day. They are very helpful when arranging last-minute emergency care and swapping the occasional days.

The staff are very caring and both my children love them. It makes me happy going to work knowing that my children are so well cared for. The staff are always playing/interacting with the children and make them feel special. They do such a wide range of activities that it is great. They spend a lot of time outdoors and the nursery has great outdoor space. They even take the children out on walks. On a practical note, the opening hours work really well for me and I manage to do both drop off and pick up. It is no problem parking there either which all makes it very simple. I have nothing but the highest praise for the nursery and really can’t recommend it enough.

My son absolutely loves it here. He is always happy when I pick him up and happy to be dropped off there and goes confidently into the room.

Having recently moved to the area, we have been so impressed at how the staff have welcomed our (rather shy) 3-year-old and helped him to settle so quickly. When we pick him up, he is so eager to tell us about his day!

We love how the pre-school team pick up on topics from the children’s conversations and turn them into role play and other activities. For example, when some of the children mentioned they were going on holiday, they created an airport, pulled up a world map and chatted about different countries and flags. This shows a real passion for learning through play.

We have also been really pleased with the first few weeks of our 1-year-old at Victoria House. With the patient support of her key worker, she seems to have settled and has started to show an interest in the toys and activities in the room.

We would highly recommend Victoria House for any parent looking for a caring, supportive and stimulating nursery.

I have two children at Victoria House Day Nursery (Marlow) and both are very happy attending and love the staff and friends they have made there. I am always impressed at the fun and inventive activities that they get to participate in and the improved outdoors space has been a great asset.

I have always appreciated the level of time and information taken to keep parents informed of children’s daily achievements as well as the information provided by the whole setting. Staff have always been happy to offer us information about their days without us having to ask.

My youngest has just had a recent room move into Bumblebees and I would just like to request that they go back to the day sheets for this age child and would also like the staff in this room to offer a bit more verbal feedback on his day as I feel this has been less forthcoming.

I love watching my little boy’s excited face when he realises it’s a nursery day. At Victoria House, I can see that the staff really care for the children, it’s more than just a job for them.

They are really good in Victoria House Day Nursery and Staff are amazing. Would like you to reconsider going back to the old menu?

Whilst choosing the right nursery can be a difficult decision to make, we are confident we made the right choice. Our son has settled in amazingly well at Victoria House Day Nursery and he seems genuinely excited to be there each time we drop him off. This is no small part down to all the staff who have been exceptionally welcoming and attentive. He has developed really well in the short time he has been attending. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Victoria House to other parents.

The team is very attentive and works hard to ensure a safe but stimulating environment for children.

My daughter has been attending Victoria House since January and has moved up an age group in that time. She always comes home in a great mood and tells me about playing in the garden or the activities she has been doing. The staff made the transition between the two rooms a really smooth process for her, and I can see her developing so quickly every week. I love that they have different activities planned every week and she has things she has made to bring home to show us and her grandparents. The staff are really great at communicating with us, and the app they use to show her progress is great because they upload pictures of the things she's doing every week. I would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for a childcare provider in Marlow.

My son started earlier this year for 2 days a week and has really come out of his shell since attending. The staff are friendly and kind and very attentive. The garden facilities are being much improved and provide a great play area for the children. There's always a friendly smile to welcome you and to wave goodbye. I also like that the bumblebee room changes regularly to keep activities new for the children and learn new skills.

My daughter had a fantastic time at Victoria House Day Nursery, they gave my daughter the best foundation for starting school and they provide a school readiness program and lots of information so we know they are preparing the children for school. Every staff member is caring and you're made to feel so welcome, it's a home from home and I cannot recommend it more. Victoria House has amazing outside space and the garden is amazing, they have just had a pirate ship built which my daughter really enjoyed. This is the best nursery in Marlow and I'm glad we chose this nursery for our daughter.

I am thrilled with Victoria House and more importantly so is my two-year-old daughter.

The staff are, without exception, kind and caring. My daughter sings the names of the staff in her room on the way to nursery and chatters for hours about the fun she has there.

I would not hesitate to recommend Victoria House to other parents. If your kids like the outdoors, the garden is great and there is plenty of imaginative fun and learning too.

My 3.5-year-old daughter goes to the nursery and absolutely loves it. She only joined this year straight into pre-school and has been accepted with open arms. The staff are great and she's even been eating her green beans! (at pre-school if not at home...)

Our 2 year old attends Victoria House 2 days a week. It's a brilliant nursery with friendly, caring staff. We particularly appreciate the varied, healthy menu with many of the ingredients sourced locally; the large garden; the light, open decor of the nursery; the use of a green service to recycle nappies as far as possible; the option of swapping up to 3 days of nursery a year without charge; the convenient parking; and the relatively long, opening hours (7.30am - 6.30pm). It's quite expensive but we feel represents value for money and like the Childbase model which as we understand it is that their nurseries are employee owned. We'd fully recommend to anyone living in Marlow or the surrounding area.

Our daughter has been going there since she was 9 months old and we will certainly be enrolling our next child to this nursery.
