Victoria House Day Nursery is located in Marlow and has a real family feel. This small, welcoming nursery prioritises individual care and learning whilst building strong parental partnerships.

The garden features include a pirate ship, treetop walkway and balancing beams as well as a purpose-built preschool garden along with a dedicated vegetable patch and mud kitchen.   

All activities are designed in line with EYFS principles and implemented by highly trained staff. There is a large, fully resourced garden which offers ample opportunities for outdoor play and learning.

Children at the nursery get involved in imaginative play and real-world play to help them grow and develop. Older children begin to learn about personal care and safety, as they become more independent and curious.

Having recently moved to the area, we have been so impressed at how the staff have welcomed our (rather shy) 3-year-old and helped him to settle so quickly. When we pick him up, he is so eager to tell us about his day!


We love how the pre-school team pick up on topics from the children’s conversations

and turn them into role play and other activities. For example, when some of the children mentioned they were going on holiday, they created an airport, pulled up a world map and chatted about different countries and flags. This shows a real passion for learning through play.


We have also been really pleased with the first few weeks of our 1-year-old at Victoria House. With the patient support of her key worker, she seems to have settled and has started to show an interest in the toys and activities in the room.


We would highly recommend Victoria House for any parent looking for a caring, supportive and stimulating nursery.

I have two children at Victoria House Day Nursery (Marlow) and both are very happy attending and love the staff and friends they have made there. I am always impressed at the fun and inventive activities that they get to participate in and the improved outdoors space has been a great asset.


I have

always appreciated the level of time and information taken to keep parents informed of children’s daily achievements as well as the information provided by the whole setting. Staff have always been happy to offer us information about their days without us having to ask.


My youngest has just had a recent room move into Bumblebees and I would just like to request that they go back to the day sheets for this age child and would also like the staff in this room to offer a bit more verbal feedback on his day as I feel this has been less forthcoming.

Whilst choosing the right nursery can be a difficult decision to make, we are confident we made the right choice. Our son has settled in amazingly well at Victoria House Day Nursery and he seems genuinely excited to be there each time we drop him off. This is no small part down to all the staff who
have been exceptionally welcoming and attentive. He has developed really well in the short time he has been attending. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Victoria House to other parents.

My three year old has attended Victoria House for two years and has always really enjoyed it. So much so that our one year old now also attends and has settled well into Caterpillars.

I cannot thank Victoria House enough for all the lovely memories my child had while attending bumble bee and the pre school.
All the staff have been really friendly, professional and helpful.
The nursery is so well equipped and with a lovely outdoor space the children always do so much and have a
huge variety of activities to choose from.

With the help of all the staff at Victoria House Day Nursery, I watched my daughter turn into a kind, caring, independent, clever little soul who went from strength to strength and has now left to go to big school.
The staff made me feel at ease and I had full confidence in them that they would look
after my daughter in every way she needed and I needed them too.
I often have people comment on how advanced she is for her age and this is all thanks to what and how she learnt at Victoria house.
I would absolutely recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been attending Victoria House since January and has moved up an age group in that time. She always comes home in a great mood and tells me about playing in the garden or the activities she has been doing. The staff made the transition between the two rooms a really smooth process for
her, and I can see her developing so quickly every week. I love that they have different activities planned every week and she has things she has made to bring home to show us and her grandparents. The staff are really great at communicating with us, and the app they use to show her progress is great because they upload pictures of the things she's doing every week. I would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for a childcare provider in Marlow.

My son started earlier this year for 2 days a week and has really come out of his shell since attending. The staff are friendly and kind and very attentive. The garden facilities are being much improved and provide a great play area for the children. There's always a friendly smile to welcome you and
to wave goodbye. I also like that the bumblebee room changes regularly to keep activities new for the children and learn new skills.

My daughter had a fantastic time at Victoria House Day Nursery, they gave my daughter the best foundation for starting school and they provide a school readiness program and lots of information so we know they are preparing the children for school. Every staff member is caring and you're made to feel
so welcome, it's a home from home and I cannot recommend it more. Victoria House has amazing outside space and the garden is amazing, they have just had a pirate ship built which my daughter really enjoyed. This is the best nursery in Marlow and I'm glad we chose this nursery for our daughter.

I am thrilled with Victoria House and more importantly so is my two-year-old daughter.


The staff are, without exception, kind and caring. My daughter sings the names of the staff in her room on the way to nursery and chatters for hours about the fun she has there.


I would not hesitate to recommend

Victoria House to other parents. If your kids like the outdoors, the garden is great and there is plenty of imaginative fun and learning too.

My 3.5-year-old daughter goes to the nursery and absolutely loves it. She only joined this year straight into pre-school and has been accepted with open arms. The staff are great and she's even been eating her green beans! (at pre-school if not at home...)

Our 2 year old attends Victoria House 2 days a week. It's a brilliant nursery with friendly, caring staff. We particularly appreciate the varied, healthy menu with many of the ingredients sourced locally; the large garden; the light, open decor of the nursery; the use of a green service to recycle nappies
as far as possible; the option of swapping up to 3 days of nursery a year without charge; the convenient parking; and the relatively long, opening hours (7.30am - 6.30pm). It's quite expensive but we feel represents value for money and like the Childbase model which as we understand it is that their nurseries are employee owned. We'd fully recommend to anyone living in Marlow or the surrounding area.

Fantastic nursery with a very caring and enthusiastic workforce. The staff are constantly seeking new ways to improve and innovate the children's experience.

We purchased a house in Marlow last year and had to change my daughter's nursery. This was a challenging time for us all as there was so much going on. My daughter was also in the process of toilet training and within the space of two weeks of being at the nursery, she was fully trained! From the initial
show around to date, the nursery and staff have been nothing but amazing. We do have the odd tear in the morning but generally she can't wait to go.
I love hearing what she has done during the day and looking on the app to see what she has been up to. Her development is a real credit to her key workers, they are so great with her and know exactly how to handle her (as she does a few tantrums here and there!). I couldn't recommend the nursery enough, all staff are so friendly and welcoming and I know that being there will give her the best start to her education.

My daughter has just left Victoria House after over 4 years. The staff are fantastic, they cared about my daughter as if she was their own. The Nursery does fantastic meals which my daughter often had seconds of, as well as tasty puddings. They do some fab activities including mud kitchen, skittles
and water and play doh. There is an amazing garden area where the children spend most of their time during the nicer weather. We were both truly sad that she has left and we will miss the team. They have prepared her for school and offered me support too. She is now a lovely, sociable and smart little person. Thank you, Victoria House!

We had a really good experience with Victoria House Day Nursery (Marlow). The staff were friendly and helpful, sadly my son could not stay at the nursery for longer but he really settled well during his short stay. We had daily feedback and progress reports. Our son started eating well and integrated
socially after joining the nursery.
