New Foundations Day Nursery (Bexleyheath) has been in operation for over 20 years, first opening its doors in 2003, it is located in a converted Victorian house which has been renovated to meet the needs of caring for young children.

Why choose New Foundations?
- The nursery is small, friendly and goes above and beyond to provide a personal touch. A smaller nursery than most with only 29 children per day, they can cater to every family’s individual needs and create strong, lasting relationships.
- Outside providers are spread across the week so lots of children can benefit from these extra curricular activities. These include Kinder Garden, Phonic Stars, Tiny Tekkers, Mini Wave and Sing and Sign.
- The home from home environment has a higher number of staff than required in order to cater for all individual needs and provide an extra nurturing and caring experience for all children.
- They put a large emphasis on books and stories, with each room focusing on ‘a book of the week’ to encourage children to have a love of books, opening up their imagination and introducing a wide range of vocabulary. There are multiple studies describing the vast benefits of reading stories to children which enhance communication, language and holistic development.
- There is a large outdoor area for children to play and explore.

The nursery provides children with a welcoming and friendly home-from-home environment and has a team of highly qualified and enthusiastic staff who have a genuine interest in supporting children to learn and achieve.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for nearly a year. She has settled in so well thanks to the fantastic staff and setting


All staff are extremely friendly and know all the children even if they aren’t assigned to their room. The number of activities and varied activities that they undertake

is fantastic. They provide pictures every day to update on what they have been doing each day. It is a small enough setting that it feels home from home and that my daughter is really focused on and her development valued. I would recommend the nursery to any parent looking for childcare.

We absolutely love this nursery. As a first time Mum leaving her baby girl in the hands of someone other than family, I was extremely scared but the staff here made me feel so comfortable. I got updates and photos to show me how happy my daughter was when she first started and we still get them now,
six months down the line. My daughter loves nursery and never cries, she actually happily jumps out of my arms to get to nursery. The staff are all so lovely and I feel so relaxed and comfortable leaving her there. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough.

My child changed to this nursery in December 2020. The staff are lovely and keep you updated with everything. My little one has thrived so much, she has nearly learnt all her letters and love's doing loopy lous. She enjoys going here.

I'm so glad that we decided to send our daughter to this nursery as I feel that she's very safe here and well looked after. Development-wise, she is constantly surprising us with all the great things she is learning on a daily basis and the staff always give us updates on how her day has been as well

My son attends nursery here and absolutely loves it. Beautiful rooms for all ages and the care for the children is second to none. The activities they do are fabulous fun and educational. The outdoor area is fabulous as covered too so great for all-weathers. I would recommend this nursery 100 per cent.

Our daughter has been attending the school for the last 3 weeks and we have seen a positive change in her social interaction. The staff are doing a good job, thanks to the good teachers, who helped her to settle in nicely.
The nursery is welcoming, friendly, flexible and very good at giving regular
updates on our daughter’s progress. So the school scores a ten out of ten. Highly recommended. Keep up the high standards!

Staff are great. Very attentive and attuned to the needs of my baby. They are enthusiastic and come up with great ideas to keep the little ones entertained whilst learning new things all at the same time. During COVID lockdown they’ve also followed guidance to a T which resulted in zero positive covid
tests in the baby room. Highly recommended.

Could not recommend this nursery enough if I tried, the team are honestly phenomenal. I was really picky with my daughters nursery as I worked at a nursery for long enough to know what should and shouldn’t happen. When we viewed the nursery we fell in love. Children’s work is proudly displayed, they
have practitioners who love their job and the children are happy kids! This still stands after almost two years of my little girl being here. The activities are amazing, the care is out of this world and the love for the children is so incredible, I couldn’t ask for any more. She has a tough time making connections but this place was like a second home for her. The people they bring in from outside to do activities are brilliant, the constant updates and pictures bring a smile to our faces and how much they care is just amazing. I could go on and on but from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being so amazing. You will be missed more than words can say when she goes to big school.

What can I say other than what a wonderful nursery. I visited a few in the area and I am so pleased with our choice. My child has been attending New Foundations Day Nursery (Bexleyheath) for two years now and she skips into the door each morning. The staff and their care for the children, enthusiasm

I couldn’t rate New Foundations Day Nursery (Bexleyheath) and their staff highly enough. My daughter has absolutely thrived since joining at thirteen months old and she can’t wait to go in every morning. Knowing how happy she is at nursery makes it so much easier leaving her. The children are busy throughout
the day with messy play, garden activities and plenty of dancing and parents are updated through the app as well as getting frequent progress reports. I would recommend this nursery to everyone!

Is the best nursery I have seen! Staff are extremely friendly and always helpful. Both of my boys loved this nursery to the point that my older son sometimes wanted to stay over night. Very clean, well organised with plenty of activities for children during the day. A little garden time and splash time
over the summer. Management is very understandable of your personal circumstances and always happy to help. Rooms for children are clean and divided in different areas of focus for the day. Nursery use an app that allow you see what your child is doing during the day and how they are developing. The food is lovely and made in the nursery kitchen. Extremely good nursery. It is like a little family taking care of each of the children's needs. Simply amazing.

Well, what can I say about New Foundations Day Nursery? Fantastic is the only word! I am so pleased that my son has had the opportunity to go here for the past 2 years. All the ladies treat every child like their own, it's not just a job to them it's a passion and it comes so naturally to all of them.
I wholeheartedly trust every single one of the ladies and when my son goes to school we will miss them! They also get external companies to come into the setting from football to music classes.
My son is currently in preschool and the set up is brilliant. They really get the children ready for their journey to starting reception! They have daily phonic sessions. I had my eldest son at another session and it doesn't have a patch on New Foundations.
I also want to say that, in particular, this year has been difficult with Covid and this nursery was there for all parents and children. Some of the ladies set up a Facebook page with activities. I would have no hesitation recommending this nursery for your little one!

The staff are very pleasant and take everything into consideration. I felt sad returning to work after maternity leave but seeing how happy my son is at New Foundations Day Nursery really does make me smile. As soon as he gets out the car he smiles because he knows where he is.
The staff are so polite
and pleasant to talk to. They all work very hard I couldn’t give them enough credit.
The activities they do with the children are amazing.
They have also been very good during these current times ensuring all children are safe.
Altogether I’m very happy I send my son here and I couldn’t thank every single member of staff and management more. Thank you.

New Foundations have provided excellent care to both my children over the years and I cannot fault their staff. I had to come and write this recent review due to their exceptional handling of safety procedures and fees during lockdown and keeping in touch with children stuck at home. I would not hesitate

Through this hard time that the pandemic has caused, the nursery staff have maintained a smile at the uncertainty that the world is throwing at them. They make the place friendly and inviting which helps me to feel comfortable in leaving my son there knowing he is having a blast and learning lots and
it enables me to complete my job without worrying about how he is doing. Although restrictions no longer allow parents to enter the nursery, they have included us with photos and telephone reports and seeing the progress my son is making confirms it.

We have been extremely happy with the care we receive from New Foundations. I especially feel like the staff genuinely care for my boy, from the comprehensive questions during the interview process to the daily and timely communications. I really appreciate knowing how my son gets on through their app
and I am grateful for how flexible and kind the staff have been to us, especially during this pandemic. They have also done a great job in preparing my son for reception. Thank you New Foundation Day Nursery. Highly Recommended.

Outstanding nursery. My little one has attended New Foundations at around one-years-old and has been very happy there. Staff are brilliant, really helpful and being flexible. Especially, with initial settling time. I recommend it to all of my friends and family. It is the best nursery in this area.

Our youngest son is about to move up to the pre-school room at New Foundations and we could not speak more highly of them. He loves his time there and all the staff are friendly and approachable.
I also want to commend the nursery for their communication to parents and arranging of Zoom sessions for
the children during lockdown.

Becky has worked for the company since the first day it opened its doors! Becky started out as an Apprentice and has worked in all the different roles in the business. Becky now works across both the nurseries overseeing the Management teams, monitoring quality and making sure everything runs smoothly.

Sarah has worked for the company for over 18 years, starting as an Apprentice and working her way up. Sarah worked as the Deputy Manager at this nursery for 3 years before starting her role as Nursery Manager over 4 years ago. Sarah has a wealth of knowledge to bring, Sarah is the organised one and ensures every job gets done thoroughly and to a high standard.
Sarah's 2 sons came to the nursery before starting school so she knows just what it is like to be a parent trusting others with your precious children.

Charlotte

Charlotte Butler

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2020

Charlotte started at New Foundations in 2011 and completed her Apprenticeship with us to gain her qualifications, she worked here until 2016 and rejoined us in 2020. She has worked in all rooms and has a great knowledge of child development across all ages.


Charlotte is a fantastic Deputy Manager, she shares the core values and ethos of the nursery and is passionate about providing high-quality care to all of our families. She brings fun, laughter and joy to all at our nursery.
Both of Charlottes children have attended the nursery and 1 still does so she sees the nursery from a parents perspective as well as staff.

Lucinda

Lucinda Caesar

Job Title: Deputy Manager and SENCO Joined: 2024

Lucinda started at New Foundations in 2015 and worked at our previous nursery in Sidcup, until it closed in 2018. She returned to our team in 2024, after gaining experience in schools and working with children with Special Educational Needs.


Lucinda has made a big impact already on the children with SEN and in the education delivered within the nursery. She is passionate about child development and reflects this in her practice.
