New Foundations Day Nursery (Bexleyheath) has been in operation for over 20 years, first opening its doors in 2003, it is located in a converted Victorian house which has been renovated to meet the needs of caring for young children.

Why choose New Foundations?
- The nursery is small, friendly and goes above and beyond to provide a personal touch. A smaller nursery than most with only 29 children per day, they can cater to every family’s individual needs and create strong, lasting relationships.
- Outside providers are spread across the week so lots of children can benefit from these extra curricular activities. These include Kinder Garden, Phonic Stars, Tiny Tekkers, Mini Wave and Sing and Sign.
- The home from home environment has a higher number of staff than required in order to cater for all individual needs and provide an extra nurturing and caring experience for all children.
- They put a large emphasis on books and stories, with each room focusing on ‘a book of the week’ to encourage children to have a love of books, opening up their imagination and introducing a wide range of vocabulary. There are multiple studies describing the vast benefits of reading stories to children which enhance communication, language and holistic development.
- There is a large outdoor area for children to play and explore.

The nursery provides children with a welcoming and friendly home-from-home environment and has a team of highly qualified and enthusiastic staff who have a genuine interest in supporting children to learn and achieve.

Our experience of New Foundations has been fantastic. Our daughter has a great rapport with the staff and other children and has learnt so much in her time there. The menu is fantastic, healthy, varied and ensures kids with allergies do not miss out. The activities and external providers they work with
are proving hugely popular too, with our little one at least!

Our daughter has attended New Foundations Day Nursery since eleven months old. The staff are extremely attentive and have a genuine interest and care for all the children. We receive updates throughout the day on what she has been up to, including nap times, meals, photos etc.
The staff are very accommodating
and helpful towards managing our daughter's multiple food allergies and have worked together to create a comprehensive care plan for her. Activities are varied and plentiful, we would highly recommend New Foundations Day Nursery to all as our daughter loves it here!

My little one has been attending since 2021 and absolutely loves it. The staff are all so lovely and you can tell the children have a real bond with them. My daughter is always coming home and telling me all the new things she has been learning and shows real excitement going in each day. I know she
is looked after really well and is in a safe space which is really reassuring for working parents.

My daughter has been at New Foundations Day Nursery for nearly a year now and has come on in leaps and bounds during that time. Her social skills have greatly improved and she is always telling me new little things she has learnt. They have various outside providers come in to vary the children's activities.
The staff are friendly and caring and I'm kept fully updated through the app as to what my daughter has been up to throughout the day. They provide nutritious balanced meals and my little one looks forward to her days at nursery.

Both of my children have been extremely happy and well cared for at New Foundations. The activities are lots of fun and help them learn new things. The staff put in so much effort to make sure the children are happy.

We've watched our daughter grow and develop excellently at the nursery, with the support of the staff and management. The entire staff are always very friendly, supportive and caring and we've not had one concern in two years. I will most recommend the nursery, for the excellent attention to detail

Our child has been attending here for a few months, joining the nursery at 16 months and settled in straight away. I had great confidence from the start as the team took a lot of detail and care in getting to know him to ensure he would settle well.
We get daily updates with everything we need to know
and photos throughout the day. He is benefiting from the structure and routine of the nursery day and is developing so well from everything he is being taught there. Each day is filled with fun and creative learning. All staff are really friendly and I feel comfortable that if we had any concerns we could raise them.
Would highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a caring and fun setting where their child will learn lots!

The nursery has been very helpful in my child’s development. They work with the speech therapist and my daughter's speech has drastically improved. The staff in the sunflower room are doing amazing as well as those in the preschool room. I’m grateful.

Both our boys (aged 4 and 1) love New Foundations Day Nursery. Our 4 year old wakes up every day and asks "is it nursery day today?".
The staff are professional and caring and adjust to any special requirements easily (like allergies).
It's a cliché but we could tell it was the right choice the first
time we looked around. We have no hesitation recommending to everyone.

My son (aged 4) and daughter (aged 2) both attend this nursery. I can’t recommend it highly enough. The staff are professional and really caring. The nursery is on the smaller side meaning all the staff seem to know the names of all of the children, even if they don’t usually work in the same room as
the children. The quality of the food menu for children is great and the nursery is really well run. My children have enjoyed going to nursery since day one and I’m really glad that I chose it.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for 7 months and absolutely loves it. The staff are so lovely and welcoming that she settled in straight away and is very excited on the days she attends. This is all thanks to the amazing team and warm, friendly, safe and fun environment they create for the
children. As a parent, it is so reassuring knowing how happy your children are attending nursery, and so nice to hear them tell you stories about their day and how much fun they have. I would definitely recommend this nursery to any parent, I couldn’t ask for more.

Really lovely nursery! Always helpful and got such a great team behind them! My little boy has come such a long way since starting in the toddler room nearly 2 years ago. So sad for my little one to be leaving for school! Couldn’t recommend more!

My son has been at the nursery for a couple of years now with a break in between due to personal issues. My son has loved every minute at nursery and the people working there have been wonderful sadly my son is leaving in September to start primary school but I know that he’s enjoyed every minute of
being at the nursery and has made friends there and will be sad to leave them and the lovely people working there behind.

New Foundations Nursery Bexleyheath is a wonderful childcare provider. My daughter started at 1 years old and is now in pre-school. My son is in the baby room. My children are so happy at nursery, their social skills and confidence have really enhanced being at the nursery. The nursery updates parents
via an app where we can see what they’ve eaten, and nappy changes plus photos and information about what the children have been up to. They also monitor their development using The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS). We receive monthly one to one catch ups with staff and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It is like a family setting with smaller class numbers.

The staff are very caring and like another family to her with their home from home environment.
I was a bit nervous about leaving my daughter at first but now I know she is in the best capable hands.

Since 2016, both of my daughters have attended/are attending New Foundations Day Nursery. In all of that time, I have honestly never had a bad word to say. The nursery is run spectacularly well and the staff are amazing. Every member of staff is so friendly and welcoming, and I have always felt completely
at ease leaving both of my daughters with them - they both equally love the staff!
My youngest has had a bit of speech delay, each member of staff has gone above and beyond to work with her to improve this which I can't thank them enough for. They are so invested in the development of every child.
I would highly highly recommend New Foundations to anyone and everyone. I will be sad when my youngest leaves in a few years!

My daughter has attended the nursery for 6 months now. The staff have taken such great care of her since she joined and have provided me and my husband with peace of mind knowing she is being well looked after. All the staff are incredibly friendly and greet our daughter with the biggest smiles every
morning. She is kept busy with lots of activities throughout the day and it's lovely when we receive the daily update and photos of what she has been up to. The facilities are great; lots of activities and toys in the room, the garden is a wonderful space for them to run around in and the meals are well planned out (including thoughtful alternatives for children with allergies). I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a nurturing, friendly and safe nursery for their little ones.

Becky has worked for the company since the first day it opened its doors! Becky started out as an Apprentice and has worked in all the different roles in the business. Becky now works across both the nurseries overseeing the Management teams, monitoring quality and making sure everything runs smoothly.

Job Title: Nursery Manager - Job share Joined: 2004

Sarah has worked for the company for over 18 years, starting as an Apprentice and working her way up. Sarah worked as the Deputy Manager at this nursery for 3 years before starting her role as Nursery Manager over 4 years ago. Sarah has a wealth of knowledge to bring, Sarah is the organised one and ensures every job gets done thoroughly and to a high standard.
Sarah's 2 sons came to the nursery before starting school so she knows just what it is like to be a parent trusting others with your precious children.

Charlotte

Charlotte Butler

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2020

Charlotte started at New Foundations in 2011 and completed her Apprenticeship with us to gain her qualifications, she worked here until 2016 and rejoined us in 2020. She has worked in all rooms and has a great knowledge of child development across all ages.


Charlotte is a fantastic Deputy Manager, she shares the core values and ethos of the nursery and is passionate about providing high-quality care to all of our families. She brings fun, laughter and joy to all at our nursery.
Both of Charlottes children have attended the nursery and 1 still does so she sees the nursery from a parents perspective as well as staff.

Lucinda

Lucinda Caesar

Job Title: Deputy Manager and SENCO Joined: 2024

Lucinda started at New Foundations in 2015 and worked at our previous nursery in Sidcup, until it closed in 2018. She returned to our team in 2024, after gaining experience in schools and working with children with Special Educational Needs.


Lucinda has made a big impact already on the children with SEN and in the education delivered within the nursery. She is passionate about child development and reflects this in her practice.
