New Moon Nursery, Castleford

Soon our daughter will be leaving New Moon Nursery for primary school; we are incredibly happy with how the nursery has set her up to succeed as her education continues. New Moon have encouraged her confidence, curiosity, creativity and communication. We have been happy customers of the nursery since I returned to work after maternity leave, and have always been impressed by their high standards.

The standard of care is absolutely fantastic. We moved our son to New Moon Nursery from what was supposed to be a good nursery, and are constantly blown away by the amazing staff and how much they go the extra mile for the children. The variety of activities is fab and our son runs in every morning and talks about nursery all weekend! Did not know nurseries could be as good as this and I will be heartbroken when he starts school and has to leave.

I wouldn’t want to send my child elsewhere.

The staff are always super friendly and always take on board my daughter's ridiculous requests for different activities. She absolutely loves going there and has tried inviting her key worker for a sleepover multiple times (although she politely declines).

My little boy has thrived so much. He loves getting up to go to New Moon Nursery in the morning and he can't wait to tell me all about the day when he gets home. This is what means the world to me, how much my son enjoys his time with the New Moon family.

New Moon Nursery are outstanding. Providing such an incredible experience for my son. He has been attending since he was 8 months old and is now 3 years of age and I couldn’t imagine sending him anywhere else. He loves going and has learnt so much since going. 5 stars

Understanding my child's needs and have offered support and learning plans to improve. He loves going to nursery so much that we have requested to increase his days. His key worker is a credit as are all the staff we come into contact with, I can’t ever understand how they are still just as enthusiastic when we pick him up on a night like they were on morning drop off. It can’t be easy but that’s a testament to their passion.

I really cannot recommend this nursery enough.

Would 1000% recommend this nursery. My little boy started in November 2022 and he has settled in really well, this wouldn't be without the lovely staff that has made him feel settled, I couldn't thank you all enough.

The children at New Moon receive so many opportunities to allow them to explore, learn and build their confidence. Some of these activities include music lessons, football sessions and forestry school.

The staff are wonderful with the children and endeavour to help the children feel safe and happy and learn. It is clear to see how much the staff care for the children. My child comes home and talks about her teachers with so much love - she talks about them like they’re family.

New Moon Nursery is a fantastic nursery, my child can take a while to settle in. She has settled amazingly here, the staff are so lovely and friendly and nothing is ever too much for them. I love the fact they receive homemade food every day, I think this really does give it the family vibe.

The nursery is only small, I find that this is a plus, there are lots of activities for the children to get involved in, inside and outside, always being creative. Great nursery and I would highly recommend.

My three grandsons all attend New Moon nursery. The staff are very friendly and welcoming when they arrive. Because of all the activities they provide all three have benefitted in their development. They also provide special activities such as music school and forest school where all the kids get involved. They also participate in World Book Day and all the kids can dress up as their favourite character. At the end of the day the key workers give you an update on what your child has been doing that day. They provide a happy and secure environment. Definitely a nursery worth recommending.

New Moon is an absolutely fantastic nursery, my two boys love every minute they are there! The staff are absolutely fantastic and the activities and resources they set up for the children are amazing, they have so many learning opportunities and so much fun. My oldest has been there since he was 10 months old and is now almost ready for full-time school and will be so sad to leave. I would recommend New Moon to anyone and everyone

Both my children attend New Moon and the environment and brilliant staff are so caring and nurturing and have developed the kids so much in the time they have been there. The resources and activities are so imaginative and engaging and the children have such a great time in nursery, we couldn’t recommend New Moon enough.

My little girl was a lockdown baby, and therefore, struggled to trust anyone other than myself and my wife. We started our daughter here after her first birthday, and she is now a confident baby, and we firmly believe that the nursery has helped this process. She is well cared for and entertained throughout the day, and the girls are amazing with her. We can’t thank them enough.

Since I put my daughter in this nursery last year, she’s grown so much in confidence and developed her learning skills. The staff are amazing with her, especially her key worker. The staff are always here to help and to make you feel at ease always. My little girl loves going to nursery, and I will be leaving her in this nursery until she is five as I love her attending New Moon Nursery. A brilliant place.

We visited a lot of nurseries but this one stood out a mile. My little girl has been going on New Moon for two years. It is such a lovely building with a real homely feeling. Her friends are like her family and it is such a positive happy environment. All of the staff are very friendly and very professional. They are exactly who you would want to look after your children.

Would absolutely recommend New Moon nursery to any new parents. The practitioners are excellent. They have different stages for when your child gets older so they mix with the same age range. My little girl loves going there. They do so much with the children and help them develop. My little girl goes full time and has her meals there which are all homemade (breakfast, lunch and dinner) which is a big help due to working full time. I'm so glad we choose this nursery.
