New Moon Nursery, Castleford

I could not recommend New moon enough, I was so anxious about sending not one but two of my children to a nursery after spending every day with me since the day they were born, but new moon have been fantastic. The smiles on my babies faces when they see the ladies on a morning melts my heart. I know both my children have developed a brilliant relationship with their key workers and I can see that they've both made progress with development and key skills since starting in January. The whole staffing team are lovely and always take the time to give me a thorough handover at the end of the day. I 10000% made the right decision in choosing New moon.

Amazing nursery with lovely kind staff who go above and beyond for the children in their care. My child is always happy to go and had made strong attachments to several members of staff. It's clear from her interactions with staff that they all put in the effort, despite the room they're based in, to get to know all the children.

I can't recommend New Moon enough! We were quite anxious before our daughter started as she found meeting new people difficult. But after a few weeks, she is completely different and has found her confidence! Thank you so much New Moon!

As a teacher myself, I have extremely high expectations of what I expect from a nursery, both from an educational and pastoral perspective. After visiting many different settings, choosing New Moon was an easy choice! The New Moon team are caring, friendly and knowledgeable. There is a real 'family' vibe as you step through the door and I instantly knew my son would be well cared for. Sending my son to New Moon was the best decision and my younger son will also be attending later this year.

My son has only been attending for a short time due to having to remove him from another setting, my experience so far has been amazing. All the staff are great and they have been so helpful with supporting me with my son. I am extremely happy that I made the choice to send him to this nursery.

We couldn't be more pleased with New Moon. The high level of care that our son receives each day couldn't be more apparent, from the moment he bounds in through the door in the morning with whichever member of staff receives him to the thoughtful and specific feedback we receive on collection at the end of the day. His key workers clearly care about him, his happiness and his development. As well as handover, the app is updated to share pictures, food and sleep info as well as keep an open line of communication. We trust this setting with our child completely and are thrilled with the work that they do.

My child has attended New Moon Nursery since he was 4 months old and has just turned 1. The development opportunities the nursery has given him are fantastic, they are broad, nurturing and tailored to him and his abilities. The nursery has worked with us to ensure we are aligned on his routine and development goals, whilst proving a fun and safe environment for him to grow and build confidence. He loves going to nursery, and when I visit you can see how happy all of the children are. The nursery offers real life play environment which is aligned with many Montessori principles. There is a beautiful garden which the children go out and play/sing in everyday. They also take the children out on outings in the local area. The food is varied, delicious, nutritious and healthy. All of the staff are professional, approachable and very knowledgeable. It was a huge thing for me to hand over my newborn baby to someone but I trusted them implicitly.

Safe to say he absolutely loves it here keep doing what your doing it's an amazing nursery

We are so grateful for the loving and nurturing environment at New Moon Nursery. Our child has thrived since starting here, learning and developing so many new skills. The staff are incredibly attentive and always go the extra mile to ensure our child feels safe, they are really the best team.

We have tried to enroll our twins in another nursery before and it did not go so well and had to wait a year before there were spots anywhere for two children. Since they have joined New Moon the staff has worked hard to build their confidence and work on different routines which has helped with their development a lot. Staff are friendly and patient, with an attitude to go above and beyond with innovative ideas to encourage the children to open up.

My eldest went to New Moon from the age of 2 and left in August to start school. She loved her time there, the staff helped her develop with her literacy, numeracy, social skills, and potty training. Subsequently, my 2-year-old has been going since March and loves it. Staff have helped her speech and go out of their way to make her feel at home there even though she at times struggled. I can't complain about the nursery and have recommended it to others.

My child attended another nursery before this one and really struggled to settle in. When he moved to New Moon he was settled within the week. His language skills have come such a long way since he started. He has built great relationships with the staff, who you can tell care about the children that attend. He loves the food. Overall we have had a great experience.

We'd highly recommend New Moon Nursery to any parent looking for a high quality, nurturing and engaging environment for their child.

They build a relationship that will last a life time. All child are recognised aa individuals and the staff help them thrive.

Lovely nursery with young people at the heart of everything they do. Happy that my child goes here, they have helped settle her in, plan fun activities and make healthy, balanced meals that she enjoys. Recommended to all.

New Moon is a fantastic nursery with attentive, dedicated, caring, kind, lovely staff. We feel very lucky that our son is being looked after by such great people - he has developed very well thanks to his time at New Moon.

We’ve had nothing but amazing experiences with this nursery since our eldest started in June 2020. This review relates to the sheer perseverance and hard work that goes into caring for our children every day, but more recently when having to get up to speed with the recent 2-year-old funding policy. I’ve had nothing but issues trying to get eligible codes to work for my son, but staff at New Moon have been emailing the local authority regularly and dealing with a broken system not fit for purpose. It has been frustrating for both of us, but they have kept going and eventually managed to put a solution in place. For this, I am truly grateful as it was causing me no end of stress. I applaud each employee for their hard work, love and care, it means so much to us.
