Overview

The Review Score of 7.9 (maximum of 10) for Tigers Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Tigers Day Nursery in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.0 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

Detailed Breakdown

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.907 for Tigers Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (98 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.907

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 3.031 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Tigers Day Nursery is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 = 3

    2. Target of 32 positive Reviews (160 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 1 Reviews ÷ 32 Target = 0.031

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

We moved my son to Tigers from another excellent nursery for practical and logistical reasons as much as anything and it was a risk as I didn't know how he would settle, we didn't need to worry. It is true that every child is unique, however, my son has a very rare genetic condition and has a very particular set of needs as he is globally developmentally delayed, unable to walk at the moment and has limited words. It's important to note too that with such a rare condition there is no information pool or standard training courses for anyone to use as a benchmark to establish how to look after him, and yet Tigers embraced him from day one. They have focused on making his life at Tigers and his activities there normal but with the extra support he needs which is exactly what we want for him. His key worker is also simply amazing with him and seems to understand him fully and she has even done some babysitting for us and I will ensure that he keeps in touch with her.

We have used this nursery for 6 years and have always been pleased with the service provided. They are very accommodating and are always happy to help. The staff are very friendly and build up a special relationship with the children during their time at the nursery. We will be sad to leave the nursery when our daughter goes to school.

Tigers Day Nursery is an excellent environment for my son and the care provided is of the highest standard. I feel that I am kept informed of all the relevant aspects of my son's day whilst he attends and we get regular information on targets that he has achieved and is working towards. The biggest compliment I can pay is that my son thoroughly enjoys his time at Tigers.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough, I have used this nursery for the last 7 years with both of my children. They always seem happy when I drop them off or pick them up. Not once did I have a problem with my boys not wanting to stay even on their settling in sessions! Their learning abilities came on heaps and bounds while they were here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The nursery has a lot to offer for the children, their meals are great and it is a very clean environment. Happy to leave my children in their care so I can work

I cannot recommend Tigers Nursery enough! My son has come on leaps and bounds since he joined earlier in the year and I love the learning through play and so does my he. My son especially enjoys the outside space and the fact that the nursery aim to get the children outside and least once a day is great. All the staff are lovely and really helped with the transition from my son being at home all day with Mummy to going to the nursery one day a week. It was difficult at first but the staff were great and gave lots of suggestions and as many settling in days that either of us needed. My son now happily runs off to play with his new friends and smiles as soon as he sees the staff which is an excellent indication that he is clearly very happy.

Our son came from a child minder when he was 3 and has loved it. Everyone (and I mean everyone) is very friendly and welcoming. The activities are varied and challenging. My son especially loves French and forest school. We get detailed feedback every day about his progress. He has loved it and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Fantastic outside space for active boys. The wild garden, forest school and football is fantastic. My son loves the dance studio and French classes. He always asks when his next day at Tigers is. He has never said he doesn't want to go.
