Busy Bees Tunbridge Wells is a well-established nursery and pre-school just a quick 6-minute walk from High Booms Train Station. With space for 90 children aged 3 months to 5 years, it’s a vibrant, buzzing community full of energy and learning.

At Busy Bees Tunbridge Wells there is an experienced staff team who are ready to support your child and your family by planning a variety of stimulating activities for the children in a safe and caring and nurturing environment. Each child will be assigned a key person who will document your child's development throughout their time at the nursery in their own individual 'learning journey'. This is provided via an online app meaning that this can be constantly accessed by parents and will keep you well informed. The nursery has a lovely garden space for children to explore and learn outdoors every day come rain or shine.

My daughter started in the bay room in September and had a hard time settling in. I was amazed at how much the staff did to help her and how compassionate they were to me and to her to help her. She now totally adores it and is unhappy to leave!


She had a few dietary needs and they bend over backwards

to be accommodating and inclusive. There's an excellent level of communication with parents with daily feedback and parent conferences.


I am often stunned by the variety of activities the children take part in. I am very pleased we decided to send her there.

We chose Busy Bees based on location, cleanliness, values and general ‘feel’ compared to other local nurseries.
Our son started age 1 and settled in well. Staff were fantastic in giving advice and reassurance in what is a naturally anxious time for first-time parents. The support provided has been
consistent and staff are always approachable and helpful.
Activities and the food menu are varied and I am always given a good overview at the end of the day. Before joining we were told they are taken out in the double buggies for walks - This has happened less than we’d hoped, but appreciate it depends on staffing. It doesn’t happen often, but when I have something to address, the manager/keyworkers discuss and resolve any problem promptly.


Our son has loads of fun with friends and is very comfortable with staff. When we take a walk on a day off he tries to drag me into nursery on the way past, which is a great reflection on how much he enjoys it!

Our daughter has been at the nursery for just under a year. We have been delighted with the level of care she has received since the first day. She was very shy and nervous about going but has blossomed beautifully into a happy, confident little girl with lots of friends. The nursery is a vibrant place
and all the children seem to love their time there. There is always a plethora of fun games and activities going on. It is a real joy to send her there. Thanks to the whole team!

My son loves nursery! He gets excited every day when we arrive which is very reassuring as a parent. He is fond of the staff and the friends he has made. There is a good range of activities available to encourage language development and play. The staff to child ratio enables quality interactions.

Our daughter attends The Tunbridge Wells Nursery & Montessori Pre-School full-time and absolutely loves it there. The staff are fantastic and her days are so varied and energetic that she always leaves with plenty of stories to tell, but absolutely shattered!

I've had both my boys attend Busy Bees, from the 10 months through to pre-school. Both have been very happy there and I would continue to recommend Busy Bees to other parents. The staff are great and it is obvious that not only do they care for the children, they form strong bonds with them. My eldest,
who is in Reception, still talks about his favourite Key Worker and always runs to give her a hug when we pick up his little brother. They also get to know them, their interests, likes/dislikes and have a great way of ensuring that your child is occupied, happy and learning through play using games and toys they enjoy.


The location is great for working parents - close to a station and easily accessible by car. The facilities are great and the outdoor space is fantastic the children spend the majority of their time outside playing (weather dependent). The fact that pre-schoolers can go outside as they wish is a big plus.

This nursery has been a wonderful place for my toddler. He started at one year old and in the six months he’s been attending he has come home with so many new skills like using cutlery and an expanded vocabulary, and his social skills have come a long way as well - he was very, very shy as a baby but
is much more confident around other children. The staff are so sweet and caring with him, and work hard with us to ensure he has a positive experience while there. They track his development in a notebook and include pictures of his activities and play which is really helpful to us. He also doesn’t come home a total mess as they take care to keep the space and children tidy. Really really love this nursery and would recommend to anyone!

My daughter is in the preschool room, she hasn’t been in there very long but she loves it. Her communication skills have developed a significant amount since being in there and from using the Montessori equipment she has become very independent. I’m so happy with what my daughter gets from being here.

We moved our daughter to this nursery and it was the best decision we ever made. Her development has come on in leaps and bounds since she enrolled here.
The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and always give us updates on what she's been doing when we pick her up.
The food is all home
cooked and she has a varied diet which helps us at home too.
Words can't express how grateful I am to the staff for all they've done for her since she started. Can't recommend highly enough!

My daughter loves her time at nursery. She started aged one and settled in quickly, helped hugely by being well cared for and having so much attention and fun toys to play with. She loves her time there and it's great to see her making friends, becoming more independent (self-serve breakfast is a hit!)
and learning so much every day. There is always lots going on, the extra activities such as Christmas parties are a lovely touch and regular parents' evenings help to see how their development is coming along. As parents, we couldn't be happier with the choice we made and have referred many other friends to join too.

We love Busy Bee's Tunbridge Wells and will really miss the team when our little one moves on to primary school.
The nursery has looked after our daughter from 6 months, seen her all the way through the baby room, the 2-3 room and the pre-school room. They have managed each transition really well,
discussing everything in advance so that we were happy. They have discussed and managed whatever we may have had concerns out, whether it be separation anxiety, feeding, nappy, medications, potty training etc.
They have tracked her progress, discussing her development at twice yearly parents evenings.
We have never regretted our decision to place our little one at Busy Bee's, we trust the team to look after her welfare and teach her, our daughter loves going to nursery 3 days a week, she has made friends there, with the other kids as much as the carers.
We would and do recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a safe and friendly nursery for their child.

My husband and I were first attracted to the nursery because of the location and the facilities on offer. The opening hours are also perfect to minimise the stress of delayed trains and the all inclusive package certainly makes it easier for the drop offs in the morning. However, it is the dedication
of the staff at Busy Bees who have worked hard to help my son adjust and settle at the nursery. Initially, he had a tough couple of weeks, not wanting to eat and being very upset when I dropped him off. It was a very hard time for the whole family. However, the staff worked hard to make him feel comfortable and confident. He seems to be thriving there now and is proud to show me his new toys and friends when I go to collect him. This is all down to the attitude of his key worker and the staff at the nursery.

This nursery has supported my twins immensely and due to this, they have thrived. Their language has developed well and they have always treated them as individuals which considering I have identical girls this is fantastic. As a parent, I have always felt welcome at the nursery and have been able to
talk to staff about anything to do with their development at both nursery and home and received great advice. Things that work at the nursery have now been incorporated at home and work well so for that I can only thank the staff. Recommend to anyone who wants to have the support for both parent and child, this is the nursery for you.

My son really enjoys the time he spends at The Tunbridge Wells Nursery. He is well cared for and his day is filled with activities to keep him involved and help him to learn. The staff look after him very well and he has formed good relationships with the nannies. The staff are very informative when

Job Title: Centre Director Joined: 2022

I started studying Childcare in 2008, and at the beginning of my course, I planned to be a primary school teacher. This wasn't until I did my Early Years placement that I realised that this was where my passion belonged. I completed my CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education in 2010 before joining the team where my placement had been. I took my first nursery manager role in 2017, where I completed a level 5 apprenticeship in Business and Management, and I joined Busy Bees in 2022. My passion for ensuring all children receive the best possible start to life is still burning bright, and this extends to my 2 children.
