Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School, Rathvilly (Northfield)

My little boy has been very hard to settle but the staff in his room have been very kind, caring and loving towards my son. They always have available toys that he loves which makes him feel more comfortable at leaving me. They give me detailed reports with regards to how he has been during the morning which makes me feel very comfortable leaving him in their care. The staff at the reception are very welcoming and also kind and caring.

Excellent room, activities and outside areas. Staff and safeguarding and incident reports are less than very poor.

The staff are very friendly and both myself and children have built up great relationships with staff. An important point for me, if ever you have even a very small issue, staff are very quick to help and advise. I feel that the nursery prepared my elder child perfectly for school and feel just as happy with the progress of my younger child who still attends. I would recommend.

Great nursery with lots of different activities on a daily basis which is really satisfying to know as leaving your child at any age for a long period of time can be difficult but at First Steps you know that they are going to have an exciting fun filled day which is all based around learning. My two-year-old has come on so much since starting 4 months ago with this nursery and all the staff take their time to tell you all about their day and are very approachable.

My daughter started at First Steps Children's Nursery in August 2017 at 15 months of age, I was initially very apprehensive as we had been let down by a previous nursery with the care that had been provided.

My concerns and worries were alleviated instantly. My daughter has been immensely happy since starting at First steps and she is flourishing in all her milestones. My husband and I are extremely impressed with the care and attention my daughter has been looked after. She is always excited to go to the nursery and this has made the transition of returning to full time work more bearable. Very effective and efficient at keeping parents informed of changes.

Welcoming reception staff and the other parents are equally lovely.

Very pleased with the quality of care with friendly and caring staff. Various activities and lots of space for children to play and learn. I think the best activity so far is the forest school which we're looking forward to.

We've sent our daughter and now our son to First Steps and we couldn't be happier with the nursery. The staff are fantastic - they're full of energy, creativity, caring and are responsive to the children. We also love the outside space with its huge sand pit and in the older areas fort, grass and bike area. Our son enjoys messy play, imaginative play and interacting with his friends. We love to hear all the stories about his day. We would highly recommend this nursery especially for an active child like our son!

Both my girls started nursery at 10 months and have spent about 4 years each there and they are confident happy children. The staff are well informed and friendly encouraging every child to develop and understand their surroundings.the management is experienced and friendly. The forest school is the best! Great safe and fun place!

I cannot be happier with this nursery setting and I cannot praise staff enough. Although my son is upset when I drop him, he loves it there. It's the initial separation issue, which the staff have been fantastic with as they knew I was worrying at one point about my son. My elder son also attended the nursery and was so sad when his time came to leave. He loved the nursery the staff and the entire time he spent there.

Lovely nursery, friendly staff. They had different activities every day and really pay attention to your child's individual needs. Staff were consistent in attendance so there were not lots of different faces all the time so my child felt comfortable. My fussy toddler enjoyed her meals there which was good. I would recommend this nursery to other people.

Since my daughter started at First Steps in September the staff have been nothing short of fantastic with her. They're always so cheerful and willing to accommodate her. I know she's getting the best care and she's having a fabulous day when she's there.

They show care in my daughter as she is struggling to eat and settling in but they work well with me to make sure she eats well during her care at First Steps Day Nurseries in Northfield.

The nursery are always considerate of my daughter as an individual and do a great job of encouraging her to do and learn things that she wouldn't at home. She loves being there and the staff all show so much care that I have no concerns about leaving her with them.

Lovely nursery for children to learn and have fun. Staff are lovely and friendly. My son came here from 9 months went all the way through to preschool. He loved it all and the staff looked after him so well. My daughter started when she was 8 months old and is now 2. This is a beautiful and friendly place to drop her every day, everyone is always smiling and very reassuring especially when she is upset. She is always happy when I come to collect and always see her running around playing.

A fantastic nursery full of caring professionals. My little boy has come on leaps and bounds since joining First Steps. Great food and interaction and overall learning for the children. Highly recommended.

I can't recommend this nursery enough.

A wonderful, friendly nursery. LOVE the opportunities for the children at forest school. The staff are always really welcoming and the administrative staff always do all they can to make life as simple as possible for parents. I'm just sad my son will have to leave in the summer for big school!

My son started at First Steps in September at the age of 2, he was very shy at first and needed encouragement and reassurance to settle. Over the last 6 months, we have seen him develop into a confident, funny little chap who thoroughly enjoys his 2 days at First Steps and comes home ready to tell us all about his day!
