Greendale Private Day Nursery

Both of my children have attended Greendale Nursery since they were babies. I have found Greendale to be a very loving and caring place. A real 'home from home'. I have complete peace of mind while I am at work. I have noticed a great improvement in all areas of their development. I would not hesitate to recommend Greendale to others. The staff always have time to chat, answer queries and they specifically make time to discuss important observations of learning. The staff genuinely care about the children and take time to get to know them personally.

Excellent nursery both my children have loved attending and really enjoy their times there. Staff are wonderful, friendly and so warm towards the kids. I really believe they care so much about my children which makes it easy for me to leave them at Greendale. Wonderful food, healthy and all cooked on site. Highly recommend this wonderful nursery.

I would recommend this nursery based on the excellent staff we have had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with. The staff are very professional and have such a caring nature. The only negative view I would have is the cost. The nursery is very expensive and the fact that we have to pay for bank holidays even when the nursery is closed is very unfair. On occasions, we have had to look for alternative childcare (paid). With required notice, we cannot even change to a different day that the bank holiday falls to allow us to go to work.

Excellent. My daughter loved every minute from she was eight months old until she left for school. She was very well looked after and well entertained along the way. Staff were caring and attentive.

I viewed several nurseries and none compared to Greendale. The staff were welcoming from the first day and not only helped my daughter settle but also helped me settle and reassure me.

My daughter has been in Greendale in the baby room from the end of August and is loving it. The staff are excellent and I have no reservations about leaving my only daughter. When she’s dropped off in the morning, she waves her daddy bye and is happy to go to the girls. I can’t thank the staff enough for looking after my daughter so well. I have already noticed my daughter's speech and development has come on since being in Greendale and it’s great to see her interacting with other kids.

They have an excellent healthy menu which varies every week and the facilities are great and very clean.

I couldn’t recommend Greendale enough. Excellent facilities and amazing staff.

The best recommendation for it comes from my daughter herself! She absolutely loves her time at Greendale, is always full of beans at the end of her days and most importantly likes to talk about her carers even at home to us.

The staff are absolutely amazing. Irrespective of what room the child is in, all the staff know every child's name - it's such a personal place. Whatever your child’s requirements, the staff ensure they are met.

We are due to leave Greendale soon and it is a ‘home from home’ for my daughter which I know she will truly miss. The staff aren’t just staff - they are all ‘caring friends’. It makes such a difference.

I was wary of sending my daughter to a nursery setting as so young, but when I couldn't find a suitable childminder decided to go down this route. I viewed a lot and Greendale came out on top for me. The facilities are great and the baby room was like a home from home setting. The staff were fantastic and after day 1 I had no reservations about leaving my daughter for the day, what's more, she loved it!

She has now progressed to the wobbler room and again facilities and staff great. They have a great healthy menu for the kids and great activities as well as outside space.

The social interaction my daughter has with the other kids is invaluable and will stand by her in the future.

All in all an excellent environment for little ones.

Lovely, friendly and dedicated staff that are very welcoming and attentive to each and every child. Only two areas for suggestion of improvement, more varied and healthier meal menu and no t.v time, otherwise a great overall experience.

I would highly recommend this nursery. The staff are amazing, they are so helpful, attentive and nothing is ever too much when you them for something.

My little one loves attending this nursery and especially loves all the arts and crafts.

The nursery is filled with different toys and the activities change daily to help the children's development. Breakfast, lunch and snacks provided. Always a cooked healthy meal for lunch. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!

This is the best nursery around. My eldest son attended for several years before starting primary school and when our daughter was born we didn't even have a second thought about where we would send her.

My youngest son has recently started in Greendale and he has settled very well. The staff and management could not have done enough to help him settle in and reassure me which is very important when returning to work. My oldest son went to Greendale 7 years ago and loved it. Greendale was the only nursery that I considered for my youngest son as we had an excellent experience when my oldest son was at Greendale.

We looked at several different nurseries for our baby boy and this was by far the cleanest and best staff to child ratio that we saw. All staff are welcoming and helpful. The manager, in particular, could not have done more to explain the routine and facilities available. We love that there are three separate rooms for different age groups and we like the fact that there is dedicated staff to each section of the age group and also like the fact that once old enough they move each child with another so that they move up the age groups together instead of individually. All meals are provided by their own cook and are sourced locally. They also inform the parents on a monthly basis of their payments due and any events or information they feel relative for the month ahead. The information that they take down for each child is good too. Overall we are extremely pleased with the level of care and service provided for our child and would recommend this nursery to anyone.

Have 2 children attending Greendale, I wouldn't send them anywhere else. The building has recently been renovated to a very high standard and both kids love going there. Definitely the best nursery in the area.

My baby son started Greendale at the beginning of October. He settled immediately in the first settling in week that is provided to make starting nursery a smooth transition for you and your child. I found this to be very beneficial as I work full time so my baby is in there 5 days a week, it was good for him to see the surroundings and staff for a few hours a day leading up to his full time start. He has never fretted going in, and loves to get down to play as soon as we walk through the door. He was a very fussy eater before starting and I can now see huge changes in what he eats and the foods he is keen to try. He gets the same naps he would at home and sleeps very content in the cot they provide. The staff are absolutely fantastic. Very friendly girls who welcome you morning and evening. They are very caring with the children and will give honest feedback on the baby's day and how they did. I am really happy that we chose Greendale.
