We have sent both our children to Pied Piper for the past couple of years. The staff are all fantastic in each room (babies, toddlers and preschool). We’ve always felt that the children are safe and well cared for at all times.
The feedback throughout the day via their app is fantastic and keeps us
updated on changes, food and naps.
The outdoor space is fantastic in a city nursery as well and is secluded on a quiet road.
The procedures put in place during the pandemic have been excellent in comparison to other nurseries. The social distanced pick up and drop off is very smooth and safe.
All in all, I would highly recommend to friends for children all the way to school age.

We have been very happy with Pied Piper nursery. My son started in the baby room at 11-months-old and hasn't looked back! He's in the toddler room now. Settling in was well supported, as was a room transition - it was so smooth I wouldn't have known anything was happening. In addition to updates on
the app, there is always personalised feedback on pick up, so parents know how the day has gone.
All the staff are caring, engaged and fun and tailor learning to the individual child; they engage my son's interest in numbers and sign language, and he comes home talking about things he has learned. All the staff seem to know all the children regardless of what room they are in.
Management is accessible and approachable and has done a great job supporting families and keeping communication open while keeping the nursery Covid secure.

My 18-month-old started at Pied Piper when she was 15-months-old and has struggled to settle due to her separation anxiety. The staff at Pied Piper have been excellent at helping her to settle and making her feel comfortable in they’re surroundings and with their staff. She didn’t eat for the first
few weeks and wouldn’t sit at the table, and now she enjoys joining in activities, eating a variety of foods and spending time with the staff. The management team have been very good at reassuring me on her progress along the way.

One of the best nurseries I viewed, and so I let my daughter attend. The family app is updated when something happens like food and nappy changes so you can see when they have been eating throughout the day. As well as they post pictures, and I love seeing what my little one is doing.

Our 8-month-old just recently started at Pied Piper, and he really seems to enjoy it. He had a number of settling days, with great communication from the staff to settle the nerves of a first time mum. He has only been in for a short while, but the staff have been great, and he has settled no problem.
Comes out smiling.

We are delighted we are with the care that our little boy receives at Pied Piper. He really loves all of the staff and skips in every day. We're amazed by the range of activities and how much he's learning. We have great interactions each day with the staff, who always give us a warm welcome. They have
done a terrific job in introducing covid measures and when settling him back into nursery after months off due to the lockdown. Our little boy particularly enjoys the healthy and varied food menu - we apologise that he frequently has three portions of lunch. Huge thanks to the team.

My 7-month baby has started attending Pied Piper nursery full time in September and he is absolutely loving it. The team has been nothing but great to help him settle in. They are also all dedicated to helping meet ours and our baby's needs. Plus, everyone is very friendly, and the nursery life is really
active and creative, with activities organised around special themes (Halloween, Christmas, etc.). I would really recommend this nursery to anyone!

My child has attended the nursery two days per week for the last three and a half years. The standard of care provided to him has always been excellent. The staff are incredibly nurturing and have supported him to develop and grow throughout his time there. I definitely made the right choice for him.

Really happy with the care provided for both my children attending Pied Piper. It is a caring environment with a good mix of staff and I have found they have both come a long way in terms of confidence and learning whilst there.
I feel totally comfortable and happy leaving them there which is a massive
thing for me as they are full time at nursery. The garden especially is a fantastic space.

Pied Piper Nursery is a fantastic nursery. All staff know me and my child, despite him currently frequenting the baby room. All staff are bright and friendly, and those who have daily contact with my child's needs. The indoor spaces are clean and well organised as well as bright and engaging. The nursery
take every opportunity for learning outdoors and have a fantastic garden space which is regularly used. I am more than happy to leave my child in this safe, nurturing environment!

The care provided is first class. My little girl has come on so well and is a confident, happy, girl that loves nursery, this is all thanks to the girls at the nursery. The facilities are great and the children are taken out on loads of visits. Would really recommend this nursery.

We could not have had better experience. Staff are friendly, approachable and keen to share a piece of advice. They helped with our family, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Management gave us a time period when we could just focus on my health only, not on the financial side.
They are also
very flexible in accommodating our needs of different days of child care. I can see my daughter fulfilling her potential, she can write her name, has really good motoric skills and enjoys taking up a challenge. Most importantly she loves her nursery and so do I.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.626)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.626) out of 10 for Pied Piper Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.903 for Pied Piper Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (131 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 144 Ratings = 4.903
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.723 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Pied Piper Nursery is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 number of registered child places is 13. 12 Positive Reviews ÷ 13 = 0.923
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
