Our son has been at Pied Piper for nearly a year now and he is absolutely thriving. We have been blown away with the level of development he is achieving thanks to the stimulating and supportive environment at the nursery. The staff are friendly and welcoming, are reactive to individual needs and go
the extra mile to build real connections with the children. We are so happy with Pied Piper as our nursery.

I am so thankful to the nursery having lost my husband last year due to covid19 my daughter was only 2 years old. I reached out to the Pied Piper, I went to visit, I'm glad I did. As it was out one house to another such a warm welcome my daughter loved it she's now 3 years old in the toddler's group
it helped her to heal come out and enjoy herself at the nursery. We couldn't do that alone all thanks to the nursery and each member of staff who's helped and looked after her. The nursery is very flexible and worked around my working hours. My daughter absolutely loves it and now my nephew will be joining soon the nursery as my brother loves all the staff members there. Greetings and warm welcome. Thank you very much again to each everyone for supporting me and my little one who's a Miss Diva.
Reply from Carrie Lloyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryThis is a very heartfelt message and it has been an absolute pleasure welcoming you and your child into nursery at the time you required our support. We have been going to Pied Piper for 7 years now and the wonderful staff there have cared for both of my children from the baby stage, all the way through to preschool. It has been a brilliant place for my kids to grow, learn, flourish and make friends. My kids are very different in nature but the staff
have always known how to bring out the best in each of them. As a family, we are going to miss this place a lot when my little one finishes for school, shortly. I couldn't recommend it more.
Reply from Carrie Lloyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryIt has been a privilege welcoming both your children into nursery and we have learned so much from their personalities and characteristics. We know how resilient they are and they will transition well. Thank you for being a huge support to all of us during the pandemic and we wish you all the very best for your future. We miss you all already!

Pied Piper has a first-class service. The staff are all fantastic and are always welcoming and helpful in any situation. Every single staff member has been top-class and professional. Two of my children attended here; one started in the baby room and one in toddlers and continued throughout their whole
nursery life. Pied Piper has made their learning fun and educational. The app they use is fantastic, and we can see pictures of our children throughout their day, which we love! I would recommend Pied Piper to anyone! Thank you to everyone at Pied Piper for making my children's journey through nursery a lovely one! We will miss you dearly now we are off to school!

We are thrilled with the progress of our 11-month-old since being at Pied Piper. The staff are extremely supportive and she gets a warm welcome from every staff member as we arrive, which helps settle her in for the day. We are happy with the updates we receive and the variety of meals she gets. We
highly recommend this nursery.
Reply from Carrie LLoyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryIt is lovely to hear how much your little one has settled into nursery with the support of the team’s successful attachment. Connecting with our parents and children from the moment they arrive at nursery helps with the transition and seeing a familiar face. All three of our children were at Pied Piper Nursery from ages 1 to 5 and they were very happy there.
The staff seem to genuinely care for the children and are very active in coming up with activities that help them develop.
The management has also been delightful to deal with over the years.
Thank
you for many happy memories, Pied Piper!

We have had a great experience with Pied Piper. Our wee boy has been really well looked after. He’s recently moved to the toddler room and found the transition a little difficult, but the staff have been really supportive. The food they get is all really healthy, and the app is brilliant in terms of
updates. Anytime we are concerned about our wee boy or looking for an update, we message and get an update. The staff have also been good at discussing child development with us. I would really recommend the nursey if you are looking for a nurturing environment with staff who take a real interest in your child.

Our child is very shy natured and we were worried after lockdown and no toddler groups that she would struggle starting nursery at 3. The staff at Pied Piper have been so supportive and great at keeping in contact. There is a great variety of imaginative activities and our daughter has settled incredibly
well now!
Reply from Carrie Lloyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryIt is wonderful to hear that our team are very responsive to you and your child’s individual needs. Even during/after lockdown, we understand the importance of successful transitions through stay and play opportunities to support your child’s confidence and overall wellbeing. We will continue to focus on your child’s interests and develop these through her observations of play.

Pied Piper has been a great experience for our daughter right from the start!

Our daughter has been at Pied Piper for about 3 months now. She was 8 months old when she started and we were nervous about her being quite young and due to Covid we couldn't accompany her inside. The staff were amazing

though and reassured both us and our daughter who did not want to part from us at first. They won her over really fast and she settled really quickly. We know she is in the best hands at nursery and she loves going and playing with her new friends. We get updates throughout the day and most days we get to see pictures of what she has been up to during the day. The nursery exposes her to so many more different sensory, cognitive and motoric experiences than what I could offer my daughter. She is absolutely thriving!
Reply from Carrie LLoyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryThank you for taking the time to contrast such a meaningful review. It was lovely to read that your child’s transition was very smooth and was very reassuring for you and your child. It is lovely to hear she loves going to the nursery to explore the environment with her friends. We are fortunate to have such an active app to facilitate updates for our families to highlight our sensory, physical, emotional and social learning experiences.

We feel our son is being really well looked after, he is developing every day and making friends. Communication between us and his teachers is great and we can message them any time for an update on how he is doing. We have been well supported when our son has had challenging behaviour and we respect
and trust his teachers’ assessment and advice. We highly recommend this nursery and our youngest son will be starting there soon.
Reply from Carrie Lloyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryIt is great to hear that your child has been developing his social skills and making secure friendships in nursery, the app is great for sharing information and photo/video evidence for our parents to reassure you of your child’s day. My daughter has loved her time at Pied Piper. The carers are all very warm and interested in the children and they have great fun. The facilities were updated a couple of years ago and the rooms are all perfect for child-led play. Great use of outdoor space - both at the nursery, and with trips to the
park etc. Management is always professional and understanding of family needs. There is a genuine desire to hear from parents and continuously improve the experience for everyone.

My son has attended Pied Piper since he was two and he’s now transitioning into Primary school. The staff are exceptional. I can’t even begin with this one. When my child enrolled, he was in the process of being diagnosed with Autism. The nursery has been a few steps ahead and set out a plan for my
child with our involvement. They accommodate his sensory needs and his key workers have all been so lovely and welcoming and I know they genuinely care for my son. The headteacher is absolutely lovely and very approachable and open to feedback which I love.

There have been a few hiccups over the years but they’ve always been receptive to feedback. More recently they promoted an existing staff member (who was my child’s key worker and also trained in makaton) into a SEN point of contact for the nursery which I think is a great step forward and necessary to make the environment inclusive. My child is very happy when he goes to nursery and my mind is at rest when he’s there.

Reply from Carrie LLoyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryWe are humbled to have been a strong network of support for you and the family. It really highlights the importance of trusting and open relationships in order to reach the same goals. It was important for us to select the correct key worker in order for him to feel safe and secure within his already familiar routine. It has been a lovely journey to share with the whole family and we know his transition to school will mirror the existing care plan strategies already in place. He is the master of his own learning and knows he will benefit from the next challenge of school provision!

This is an excellent nursery. The team are so friendly and caring. They take time to get to know you and your baby. I cannot rate it highly enough. They do activities every day with the babies. They take them outside daily. They feed them breakfast, lunch and a good snack in the afternoon so they are
not too hungry when they are picked up. I am thrilled with how well it is going since we started. They are very happy to use cloth nappies. They use the family app so you know what your child has to eat and how much they sleep and reply to messages very quickly. I would recommend.

Both my sons attend Pied Piper. It’s a lovely nursery. We chose it for its homely feel. The boys are well looked after and have both been very happy here.

We put our daughter into Pied Piper quite young (I believe she was 4.5 months). They were able to adapt to our set schedules for her since day one. Now she is a thriving 1-year-old and we couldn't be more pleased. We believe Pied Piper has a lot to do with her solid physical and mental development and
of course her socialisation skills - which is key with a pandemic baby! Sadly, we are moving abroad so we will have to say goodbye to Pied Piper and its lovely staff. That's what prompted me to write this review, as I remember it was this set of reviews that guided me to them in the first place. Highly recommend! Lovely staff, tons of activities/themed days, emphasis on outdoor play, great communication on the nursery app.
Reply from Carrie Lloyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryIt has been a privilege getting to know all the family and supporting your little one to settle into Nursery successfully. Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.970)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.970) out of 10 for Pied Piper Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.958 for Pied Piper Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (70 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.958
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.012 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Pied Piper Nursery is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 = 3.55
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 number of registered child places is 13. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 13 = 0.462
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
