Our little one didn't have any nursery experience until he was 2 and a half years old, and we were a little apprehensive about how he would settle in but he really loves it - and now doesn't look back when we bring him in. The staff at Pied Piper are very supportive and attentive. We receive daily reports/photos
so we feel involved in his activities and development as parents. It's very reassuring. They have also been great at helping us through toilet training. The food seems healthy and varied. All round, a great nursery. I would highly recommend.

My son has recently started at Pied Piper and I have been anxious about leaving him for the first time, however, the baby room team have been great at reassuring me by sharing regular updates and photos on the app, and have always responded promptly to my messages. He now seems to have settled in really
well and I feel confident that the team will keep in touch when I'm back at work. There seems to be a range of activities every day and my son is really enjoying it. I'm no longer anxious about leaving him!

Our daughter started at Pied Piper Nursery in November when she was 12 months. She settled very quickly and now absolutely loves attending - she can't wait to get there in the morning and doesn't care to say bye to us when we drop her off, she's so keen to get into the room and get going. The food offering
seems healthy and varied. We have seen a big jump in her development in the last 3 months which coincides with her time at nursery. She seems to play outside at least once a day. We don't have a garden at home so we are delighted with the focus on outdoor play. The staff are friendly and caring, and we get regular updates on the app throughout the day. Overall we are very happy with the nursery.
Reply from Lynzi Pond, Marketing Officer at Pied Piper NurseryThank you so much for taking the time to leave a review on your child’s experience at nursery. It has been lovely watching her confidence grow and she loves her time in nursery. The team excel at developing partnerships with their key children and their families. The curriculum club has allowed the team to expand on their knowledge of nature and provocation ideas to support their understanding of the world around them. It is a pleasure to have your lovely family start their journey at Pied Piper Nursery.

Since relocating to Glasgow, re-settling my daughter to a new nursery was at the forefront. The team at Pied Piper Nursery have been superb since her first day with a very nurturing, engaging and attentive setting. The team have all been great and my daughter is very well taken care of, thoroughly engaged
and now looks forward to her time at nursery. The team are also great at keeping parents updated on activities, welfare and wellbeing with regular comms, photos and descriptions of the day’s events. The setting is also lovely, with plenty of outdoor time in a great garden, canopy and studio. I’ve yet to consider the new curriculum clubs which seem like a great concept when my daughter is slightly older. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pied Piper to any parent looking for an engaging and nurturing environment for their children.
Reply from Carrie Lloyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryIt has been a pleasure welcoming you all to Pied Piper Nursery. The team support all transitions based on each individual child’s current needs to create a smooth transition period. I am happy to hear you are pleased with the Nursery environment and provision in place to support your child’s developmental milestones. Our spacious garden allows the children to promote their senses, inquiry and holistic well-being at their own pace.

Our littlun started in January and we've been struck by how bright, kind and welcoming all the staff are. Our boy also settled in quickly and now reaches out for his carers when dropped off more often than not, which is a great sign and a reassuring relief for us. The activities seem good and varied
and the food seems to be great too, smells delicious! In an ideal world the nappy-changing could be a bit swifter, but having said that, it's hard to judge it when you're not present. Overall, we're delighted our son's being looked after here.
Reply from Carrie Lloyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryThank you for taking the time to leave us feedback to improve our service. I am grateful to hear how supportive you are towards attachments between the team and your child and how reassuring this is to see on your morning drop off. We will take into consideration the nappy changing being a little faster at pick up.

We moved to Glasgow in August last year and both of my girls love Pied Piper. The staff have all been so lovely and welcoming. We get great updates on the girls and they are so happy to be there and have settled in so well. My youngest now sings about her teachers all the time. Would definitely recommend
them to anyone looking for nursery.

I am so thankful to the nursery having lost my husband last year due to covid19 my daughter was only 2 years old. I reached out to the Pied Piper, I went to visit, I'm glad I did. As it was out one house to another such a warm welcome my daughter loved it she's now 3 years old in the toddler's group
it helped her to heal come out and enjoy herself at the nursery. We couldn't do that alone all thanks to the nursery and each member of staff who's helped and looked after her. The nursery is very flexible and worked around my working hours. My daughter absolutely loves it and now my nephew will be joining soon the nursery as my brother loves all the staff members there. Greetings and warm welcome. Thank you very much again to each everyone for supporting me and my little one who's a Miss Diva.

We have been going to Pied Piper for 7 years now and the wonderful staff there have cared for both of my children from the baby stage, all the way through to preschool. It has been a brilliant place for my kids to grow, learn, flourish and make friends. My kids are very different in nature but the staff
have always known how to bring out the best in each of them. As a family, we are going to miss this place a lot when my little one finishes for school, shortly. I couldn't recommend it more.
Reply from Carrie Lloyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryIt has been a privilege welcoming both your children into nursery and we have learned so much from their personalities and characteristics. Pied Piper has a first-class service. The staff are all fantastic and are always welcoming and helpful in any situation. Every single staff member has been top-class and professional. Two of my children attended here; one started in the baby room and one in toddlers and continued throughout their whole
nursery life. Pied Piper has made their learning fun and educational. The app they use is fantastic, and we can see pictures of our children throughout their day, which we love! I would recommend Pied Piper to anyone! Thank you to everyone at Pied Piper for making my children's journey through nursery a lovely one! We will miss you dearly now we are off to school!

All three of our children were at Pied Piper Nursery from ages 1 to 5 and they were very happy there.
The staff seem to genuinely care for the children and are very active in coming up with activities that help them develop.
The management has also been delightful to deal with over the years.
Thank

We have had a great experience with Pied Piper. Our wee boy has been really well looked after. He’s recently moved to the toddler room and found the transition a little difficult, but the staff have been really supportive. The food they get is all really healthy, and the app is brilliant in terms of
updates. Anytime we are concerned about our wee boy or looking for an update, we message and get an update. The staff have also been good at discussing child development with us. I would really recommend the nursey if you are looking for a nurturing environment with staff who take a real interest in your child.

Our child is very shy natured and we were worried after lockdown and no toddler groups that she would struggle starting nursery at 3. The staff at Pied Piper have been so supportive and great at keeping in contact. There is a great variety of imaginative activities and our daughter has settled incredibly
well now!

Pied Piper has been a great experience for our daughter right from the start!

Our daughter has been at Pied Piper for about 3 months now. She was 8 months old when she started and we were nervous about her being quite young and due to Covid we couldn't accompany her inside. The staff were amazing

though and reassured both us and our daughter who did not want to part from us at first. They won her over really fast and she settled really quickly. We know she is in the best hands at nursery and she loves going and playing with her new friends. We get updates throughout the day and most days we get to see pictures of what she has been up to during the day. The nursery exposes her to so many more different sensory, cognitive and motoric experiences than what I could offer my daughter. She is absolutely thriving!
Reply from Carrie LLoyd, Nursery Manager at Pied Piper NurseryThank you for taking the time to contrast such a meaningful review. It was lovely to read that your child’s transition was very smooth and was very reassuring for you and your child. It is lovely to hear she loves going to the nursery to explore the environment with her friends. We are fortunate to have such an active app to facilitate updates for our families to highlight our sensory, physical, emotional and social learning experiences.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.626)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.626) out of 10 for Pied Piper Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.903 for Pied Piper Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (131 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 144 Ratings = 4.903
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.723 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Pied Piper Nursery is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 number of registered child places is 13. 12 Positive Reviews ÷ 13 = 0.923
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
