As a busy 90 place nursery it offers a home from home environment, lead by a passionate and caring team, with the nursery filled with hand picked resources (natural where possible) to encourage self-directed play and discovery.

Outside there is a large secure outdoor space including a fire pit, echo garden and outdoor classroom, as well as a separate area for the younger children, to play and enjoy fun.

Our child has been with the Murrayfield Nursery since being a baby and has progressed with the team ever since. We were thankful to have access to the nursery during the Pandemic and fully appreciate all those workers within the nursery and all they have done for us, remaining positive and professional

We have two children at the nursery, aged 4 and 2. They're both really well looked after and each is given an opportunity to explore their strengths and areas that they find more challenging. We definitely feel the Murrayfield Nursery caters extremely well for both toddlers and preschool children, while
respective individual personalities and inclinations.

My son has just joined in the baby room and he has settled in very quickly, it feels like he's always been there. One member of staff was great showing us around and answering our questions and management were very welcoming. We get very thorough updates and lots of photos each day to see what he has
been doing and he is always smiling in them and having fun. The rooms and gardens are fantastic and children have the chance to do so many different activities and play. He is genuinely happy to get there which shows he feels safe and well cared for. His updates show he has regular nappy changes, a good uninterrupted nap and that he eats all of the varied, healthy food provided throughout the day.

Our little one started nursery a year ago and moved into his third room this month - we continue to be impressed with Murrayfield Nursery - the communication is fantastic - the daily updates are great we always know what our little one has been up to.

I continue to be impressed by the consistantly high standards of Murrayfield Nursery. My elder son recently graduated with a really lovely celebration, showing how much they value the development of every child. During his time at the nursery, he benefitted a lot from the range of outdoor activities
including the eco-garden, pond and forest school, and progressed well with his fine motor skills such as drawing and writing.
I was also very impressed by the nursery's response to the pandemic, sending daily suggestions for activities, and keeping in touch with regular updates and video calls.
My younger son is progressing through the rooms, enjoying the variety of activities, good food and excellent staffing. Daily activities are influenced by the children's interests, and he is very much enjoying the transport theme at the moment. We're very happy we sent our boys to this nursery!

My daughter has been at the Murrayfield Nursery for just under a month (started aged 8 months). Prior to that, she had spent virtually all of her time with me so I was worried how she would settle. Within a few weeks she is going in and coming out with a smile on her face and she has really bonded with
her keyworker. She has multiple allergies (nuts, soy, dairy and egg) which have been well catered for. We are delighted and would recommend.

Our wee boy (4) is about to complete his journey at Murrayfield Nursery to head to school and we have been super impressed with the care they have provided over the last 3 and a half years. Great staff and teachers! They have been very kind and understanding and helped our little one settle down well as we moved cities (and nurseries!) You are always greeted with a warm smile and they are very involved with the children and their journeys. The eco-garden is what our little one enjoys most.

The Murrayfield Nursery is an exceptional place. I now have 2 children who attend and have watched them both flourish in what is a kind, friendly, educational and fun environment. The staff are amazing and the variety in terms of mental and physical activities that are on offer surprises me every day.
Both my children have clear bonds with the teachers which is testament to how much effort is being put into their welfare and development. The food is fantastic (I'm jealous every time I catch the smell from the kitchen when I drop the kids off in the morning!) and it's great to see how involved the children are in helping design menus. I couldn't ask for a better place to send my kids.

Cannot speak more highly of Murrayfield Nursery, from the staff, activities, and facilities to the support and advice they also provide our family. They make us feel so comfortable and reassured our son is in safe hands but also he is having fun whilst learning tailoring it to his needs. The staff turnover
is low which is always an indicator of how well they treat their own staff as well as the environment they provide.

Our son absolutely loves attending nursery and walks in with a big smile on his face. The daily updates and attention to detail make for an easier day for us parents at home! Seeing the photographs on the parent app and knowing our son is having a wonderful time really is special.


We are fortunate

to live not far from the nursery and the process of drop off/pick up's are made easy and safe with all safety measurements in place - every parent wears a mask and keeps a distance.


The activities carried out by Murrayfield Nursery are engaging and a lot of fun for each stage of learning. Having some outside time in the garden is one of our son's favourite things! It is great to know they have a safe place to play and explore.


We cannot fault the staff who you can tell really care about the children and their jobs. Every day they are smiling and laughing and it bounces off every parent and gives you a great start to the day.

Highly recommend Murrayfield Nursery, the staff are lovely, brilliant at their job and the activities provided are amazing! My son joined last year and his development has come on so much with the girls looking after him. The home-cooked meal the children get by the chef are amazing. He goes into nursery
with a massive smile and comes out with a even bigger one and speaks about all his friends and staff at nursery and what an amazing day he has had.
The management team are absolutely amazing, they are always there to meet any needs and are so helpful and amazing! Can’t recommend the nursery enough!

My 10 month old twins have recently started at Murrayfield Nursery and I have been really impressed with the structure of the settling-in process. The staff are incredibly friendly and seem very experienced and knowledgeable about how best to get babies feeling at home in the nursery. I'm also very
impressed with the variety of activities the babies get up to and the food they are served. The staff have also been really helpful with getting admin sorted.

The team at Murrayfield Nursery have been amazing with my twin girls over the last year (started at 15 months). From the ladies in the rooms to the ladies in the office, it’s always an amazing experience. My girls are so happy at the nursery and do lots of activities each day. And I get the extra enjoyment
of seeing what they do each day via pictures on the app so you know what’s going on, even though you aren’t there. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone in Edinburgh, it has been the best experience.

The Murrayfield Nursery is top rate in every way. Our daughter has ASN; they have been amazing - inclusive, professional, compassionate, proactive. She has thrived in their care and loves going to nursery where she is stimulated, challenged and celebrated. As she moves to p1, they are providing fantastic
transition opportunities and she will be involved in their forest school in this last term at the nursery. The physical nursery with its child entered decor and resources, it’s lovely back yard and eco-garden with pond, the wonderful staff and the brilliant management make this a superb place for young children. We couldn’t ask for more. Even through lockdown they were daily sending us ideas for home learning/experiences. They did this 7 days a week. Even at weekends! I’ve only ticked ‘good’ for value for money, because nurseries are all very expensive!
