The multicultural and bilingual staff team are passionate about nurturing your child’s love of learning, fun, creativity and exploration. From the nursery's in-house chef who leads regular baking and cooking activities, to a monthly breakfast club for parents to join with their child, the team's focus is on enriching every child’s life with exciting, educational and social experiences.

Every age group has their own room with specialised activities and equipment to support their learning. The Nursery also has a calming sensory room that is available for all age groups to use at various times.

I am happy with the nursery overall. I have two children in here and I like the care teachers, engagement, cleanliness and activities.
The other things I do not like and I make sure that the carer of my kids know about it is the use of iPads. I know it is not very extensive but I do not see the need
or value at this age.
Everything in the early years can be done on physical materials (and it should be). All studies show that early use of iPads are negative for kid's development so I'd like the nursery to stop using them.

My daughter absolutely loves her nursery. They are wonderful with her and support us in using cloth nappies with no fuss whatsoever. The menu is wide and varied and the activities she loves. She always sleeps well after a day in nursery. The staff take the children outside in the big garden and there’s
a good amount of messy play. Separate changing area and sleeping room. We are really happy we got a space at Annandale.

The children play a lot outside, our son scoffs all the food most of the time and the menu is varied; he always seems happy when picked up from the nursery.


However, there have been quite a lot of personnel changes in the last year, we have seen a few of the staff leave and others moved between different

My son has been at Annandale for 4 years and it is like a second home to him. I know he's always well looked after by all the staff and the facilities are very good including the outdoor area which I think is really important. The food is great and my son has tried food he wouldn't normally eat at
home. He is always very excited to see the staff in his room and I know he's always safe. I'm also impressed at how much he has learned in nursery and love watching his confidence grow. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this nursery.

My 2-year-old has been in the nursery since being 9 months old so have used 2/3 rooms in the nursery. Staff are excellent and have always formed a strong bond even though we only use the nursery 2 days a week. My child loves the nursery and I know she's being well looked after while I'm at work.

Our daughter started in the baby room over the summer. She has settled in very well and this is down to the care as well as the professionalism of the staff. They have not only helped my daughter they have supported this transition for me and my partner as well.


The nursery provides a wide range

of activities and facilities for the children. My daughter is enjoying learning in this wonderful environment.


I have also been very impressed by the nursery’s openness to being flexible. In our case to a vegetarian diet and reusable nappies.


I can’t thank the staff enough, especially our key worker, for the welcome, care and dedication. Would highly recommend.

All staff are lovely and take a real interest and care in each child. They helped my son develop so much and ate always happy to help with any requests e.g. potty training. I like getting a quick update at the end of the day to let me know what they have done that day.

My daughter has attended Annadale since she was 18 months old. Having been there just over a year, starting in the baby room and into tweenies, she still thoroughly enjoys the staff and her friends at the nursery. The staff have been amazing catering for my daughter's needs and adapting when needed.
Great advice given and daily reports that are appreciated. Her bond with her room staff is amazing. Having an on-site cook to cook healthy meals daily is a plus and a great play area in the garden that my daughter enjoys.


Could not fault the staff at Annadale.

Annandale is a fantastic nursery. My daughter's been there for around six months now from quite a young age and absolutely loves it there. We have total faith that she's in kind and caring hands and has a great relationship with her key worker. The same seems to be the case for all the other parents
too. The kids eat well and have lots of opportunities to play in and outdoors.

Very happy with this nursery. We had a small list to choose from, needing a nursery that opened at 07.30hrs, but Annandale hasn't put a foot wrong in any regard. The staff are great, the baby is happy and we are very very pleased to have chosen Annandale.

We couldn't be happier with the care our wee man is getting in the nursery.
He started 5 months ago in the baby room, the induction was really smooth and he settled very quickly.
He absolutely loves going to the nursery.
The staff are always very welcoming and approachable.
They always do lots
of great activities to learn and discover.
The bonus was that they agreed to use washable nappies as well.

Kate

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Kate has worked for Bright Horizons for over 15 years. She started as a senior room leader within the baby room, advanced to Deputy Manager, and is now the Nursery Manager. As part of this progression, she has completed a degree in Childhood Practice. Kate is very passionate about the early years and the development of children, striving to create a safe, secure, and fun space for all children, families, and staff within the nursery.


Parent partnership is key for the nursery, and Kate works hard to ensure her parents are up to date as well as maintaining community links. She wants all children, families, and staff to feel welcomed and a sense of belonging at Bright Horizons Annandale.


Working closely with her team to enhance environments, spaces, and interactions for the children, she continues to stay updated with new and current practices through home studies and training courses.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

I have always been drawn to the early years because I believe wholeheartedly that every child deserves a childhood that is joyful, full of wonder, and rich with opportunities to explore, imagine, and grow. Supporting children during these formative years is not just my job, it’s my passion.


At Annandale, I work hard to create a nurturing, welcoming environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. I also place great importance on building strong, trusting relationships with families. I believe that when children and their families feel uniquely supported, it strengthens the whole community around our setting and helps each child thrive.


I bring over 8 years of experience in leadership roles within nurseries and early years settings, and I hold a degree in Early Childhood from The Open University. I’m currently continuing my professional journey by studying for a master’s degree in the same field.


My goal is to ensure that every child in our care has the chance to flourish and that parents feel confident, reassured, and involved every step of the way.
