After leaving school in 1996, Lorraine pursued an SVQ 2 in Childcare and Education, starting her journey into early childhood education. Her passion for the early years grew during her work placement at a local nursery, where she continued working after achieving her Level 3 qualification.
Lorraine then moved to the new Cramond location as Deputy Manager, playing a key role in its development. Her dedication to creating a nurturing environment was crucial to the nursery's success.
With a Level 4 qualification, Lorraine's extensive experience and passion for early years education make her an invaluable asset, positively impacting the children and their families.
Yvonne started her career in childcare in 2006 at the age of 17 as a nursery assistant at Bright Horizons Cramond. While working in the nursery, she earned her SVQ Level 2 and SVQ Level 3 qualifications in Children’s Care, Learning, and Development.
She worked her way up to Senior Early Years Practitioner and gained extensive experience working across all age groups. Her dedication and skills led to her promotion to Third in Charge of the nursery, and she became Lead Practitioner in 2019.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her partner and their two children, whether going out for meals or taking their family dog on long walks in the countryside.
Joanne gained her HNC qualification in 2006 and began working at Bright Horizons Cramond as an Early Years Practitioner. She worked there until 2011 when she moved to Germany for three years to work as a Senior Early Years Practitioner in an Army nursery.
Upon returning to Scotland in 2014, she worked in a nursery in Bathgate until going on maternity leave to have her third child in 2019. During her maternity leave, the opportunity arose for her to return to Cramond as Third in Charge of the nursery and Senior Early Years Practitioner of the Otter room. In 2022, she transitioned to the Seahorse room as a Senior.
She is currently working towards her BA in Childhood Practice, with two years remaining in the course. She has three children with her husband, and in her spare time, she enjoys going on family outings and discovering new places for her children to explore.
