A WELCOMING AND INSPIRING NURSERY IN CRAMOND
You and your child will love the bright and spacious Cramond Early Learning and Childcare. Set in the green outskirts of Edinburgh, the creative activities and fun learning environments support your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.
Purpose-built Cramond nursery has different rooms for each age group, full of exciting resources to spark your child’s natural curiosity. The baby room features a range of sensory toys that, along with the guidance of the caring staff, help your little one to start crawling, walking and saying their first words. Toddlers and preschoolers have cosy, dedicated reading nooks in their rooms, along with art corners, indoor apparatus, natural materials for heuristic play and much more.
Outside, children enjoy learning about nature and developing their motor skills and balance on tricycles and climbing frames. They also take the children on regular trips in the local community where they can spot wildlife and learn in natural environments. This includes outings to the park, beach and woodlands.
The nursery in Cramond is located close to local bus routes, with all-inclusive fees that mean you don’t have to worry about bringing any meals, snacks, nappies, wipes or cream. The nursery offer nutritionally-balanced meals and they are prepared with fresh ingredients by the onsite skilled chef.
The Nursery is a Partner Provider nursery, which means they proudly offer afternoon wraparound care to Cramond School nursery.

My son, who is three and a half years old, has been attending Bright Horizons Cramond for the past two years, and we very happy with the care he receives. Theo has hearing loss due to microtia and atresia, and the team has been incredibly supportive, patient and caring throughout his development. He has made wonderful progress, particularly with his speech, and I truly believe that the nurturing environment and dedication of the staff have played an important part in this. As a parent, there is nothing more reassuring than being able to work and manage life's many responsibilities knowing that your child is safe, genuinely cared for and, most importantly, happy. Theo clearly enjoys being at nursery, and seeing how happy and comfortable he is there gives me peace of mind. We are very grateful to the entire team for the kindness, patience and affection they show Theo every day.

We've been using this nursery for the past five years for both our son and daughter, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From day one, the environment has felt friendly and welcoming, making drop-offs and pick-ups a pleasure rather than a worry. The staff are consistently friendly and caring and they keep us involved in our children's day-to-day experiences with regular updates and photos. It's clear they genuinely care about each child's wellbeing and development. Both our children have been genuinely happy attending. The activities on offer are varied and engaging, keeping them stimulated and excited to learn through play. The children are given breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner which is excellent for busy working parents.
We couldn't recommend this nursery more highly to any family looking for a nurturing, fun, and supportive environment for their little ones.

As a parent of two daughters who have attended Bright Horizons Cramond, I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. My eldest daughter has just completed her journey there and recently started Primary 1. The support, care and encouragement she received over the years played a huge role in preparing her for this transition. She started school confident, independent and ready to learn, making the move to P1 seamless for our family. My youngest daughter, who is 2 years old and currently attends the nursery, continues to thrive. The nurturing environment, engaging activities and exceptional care have helped her develop socially, emotionally and academically.
The staff genuinely care about every child and create a warm, safe and supportive environment where children can grow and reach their full potential. We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact Bright Horizons Cramond has had on both our daughters and would wholeheartedly recommend it to any family.

My daughter loved going to this nursery. She started it in 2021 when she was 16 months old ,and graduated in 2025. The staff did everything possible to make her transitions as smooth as possible. The nursery teachers are very creative , supportive, and understand child's needs very well. My daughter always felt included and safe. Their hard work boosted her learning and confidence. Their communication with parents is also excellent. The administration team is also great ,supportive, and keen to resolve any issues and. Bright Horizons at Cramond is a very clean setting, and its location is a bonus ,as children can enjoy great walks into nature. Their meals are fantastic as well. I would highly recommend this nursery!

We're so pleased that our daughter had such a wonderful, nourishing, kind nursery. We honestly couldn't have wanted better for her. The staff (especially three members of staff, in particular) have been such a positive influence on our daughter. As a parent, you do worry if your child is progressing / acting appropriately- however one member of staff especially always made us feel like ' it's nothing/ normal ' attitude, when at times were difficult and we really appreciated this more than she probably knew. There were times we were a bit concerned with staff for reasons, however the manager listened and felt our concerns were heard and acted out appropriately. Our daughter loved nursery and there is literally nothing more we could have wanted. We would absolutely recommend this nursery and wish them nothing but continued success!
(My slight negative is the food - sometimes the snacks provided, we felt weren't great, but that's a small opinion and might not be the case for all).

Our daughter was at Bright Horizons in Cramond from early 2021 to Autumn 2022. She returned this summer for a short spell where she was able to reunite with some old friends and many familiar faces among the staff.

Our daughter was at Bright Horizons in Cramond from early 2021 to Autumn 2022. She returned this summer for a short spell where she was able to reunite with some old friends and many familiar faces among the staff. This is a great nursery offering good flexibility in terms of pick-up and drop-off. In addition, they have very high staff retention which is great for the children as they can really get to know their key workers and other staff. The food is great too and this has been commented upon by our daughter on a number of occasions.
During her time at nursery, they introduced the family app which we found to be a great way to keep track of what our daughter has been up to as well as recording pick-up times and other information. I would so look forward to seeing some new photos in the app of what my daughter had been doing during the day! I’d like to thank the team for all their efforts over the years and recommend this nursery to other parents in our local area and beyond.

My son has been going to Cramond for over three years now, and I can’t recommend the nursery enough. He has been in four rooms across the nursery since starting and has made great relationships with all the staff and children. All the staff make an effort to get to know the children and their families and are very friendly. The nursery provides nutritious meals and snacks which my son has enjoyed throughout the years. There is outdoor space for all the rooms, and the children often go out on walks in nature or visit the park. I have seen my son develop from a baby to a preschooler, and his confidence has been building year by year, which has been encouraged by the nursery.
I love that I can get daily updates via the app whilst he is at nursery as well as development reviews throughout the year.

Yvonne started her career in childcare in 2006 at the age of 17 as a nursery assistant at Bright Horizons Cramond. While working in the nursery, she earned her SVQ Level 2 and SVQ Level 3 qualifications in Children’s Care, Learning, and Development.
She worked her way up to Senior Early Years Practitioner and gained extensive experience working across all age groups. Her dedication and skills led to her promotion to Third in Charge of the nursery, and she became Lead Practitioner in 2019.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her partner and their two children, whether going out for meals or taking their family dog on long walks in the countryside.

Joanne gained her HNC qualification in 2006 and began working at Bright Horizons Cramond as an Early Years Practitioner. She worked there until 2011 when she moved to Germany for three years to work as a Senior Early Years Practitioner in an Army nursery.
Upon returning to Scotland in 2014, she worked in a nursery in Bathgate until going on maternity leave to have her third child in 2019.
