Acorns ONS Nursery is a workplace nursery caring for the children of ONS employees in Duffryn, Newport.

Babies are cared for in their own suite of rooms, all equipped to the highest standards with play equipment designed for fun times and a cot room for rest.

The gardens provide areas for children to play and learn about the great outdoors. The children love to dig in the vegetable boxes where they plant their own fruit and vegetables. The cooks then use them to create delicious home-cooked meals in the kitchen.

Regular visits by the early years teacher prepares the children for the transition to primary school and learning follows the national curriculum. The SENCO co-ordinator is on hand for any children with additional learning needs.

My little one really enjoys going to nursery every day.
The staff are really friendly and every day I have an informative update on what has gone on.
The staff are really engaged in promoting the wellbeing and development of the children who attend.
Overall we as parents are really happy with the
nursery.
The nursery appears to be very well organised for all the various things going on and my little one loves getting involved.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I always receive a full review of my child's day.
Lots of fun activities and a lovely setting.
The staff are always helpful and reassuring. All in all, a really nice nursery and highly recommended.

I am happy with this nursery and service they provide. Ladies are lovely and very caring. My boy is really enjoying spending 5 days a week in this nursery. Communication is up to a standard. I am always being informed about every change or accidents asap. I would highly recommend this day nursery.

We are really happy with the excellent standard of care provided by Acorns ONS. All the staff are very professional, caring and friendly and our son enjoys a wide and interesting range of activities and crafts each day. The menus provided are nutritious and well-balanced. We get detailed reports on
our son's progress, behaviour and daily routine. We particularly like the outdoor activities and small trips provided to vary our son's routine. I would highly recommend Acorns and we feel very confident about the standard of care provided for our child.

My son attended the nursery and I have been extremely pleased with the care and activities undertaken at the nursery. The staff were welcoming and attentive. My son found the activities very engaging - especially the Forest School activities. He enjoyed the home cooked food. Overall a very engaging
setting and I would not hesitate to recommend to my colleagues.

I have used this nursery for both my daughters. The level of care is outstanding. The greeting each morning is cheerful and welcoming. The activities are varied and thoroughly enjoyed. The facilities close to the nursery are used to full advantage e.g. National Trust stately homes and grounds. My eldest
daughter who left several years ago is always greeted when she goes into nursery to pick up her sister. All the key workers really get to know their children and it reflects in how the children develop.

Amanda is an experienced Manager and has managed multiple Acorns nurseries for the last 16 years. Outside nursery, Amanda is a Team Manager for Risca Youth Rugby and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
