Acorns ONS

My daughter has been attending since November 2022 and is so happy there. It’s a lovely bright, clean nursery with lovely quality toys. The food also looks delicious. She gets to enjoy a variety of great activities, and all the staff are very friendly and happy- she loves it!

My little boy started in this nursery in March. Prior to starting we had plenty of communication to answer all of my queries and make me feel reassured. All staff (not just his key workers) know my son's name and greet us with a warm hello and smile each day. I have regular feedback of what activities have been done, what he's eaten and how he's slept. We receive photographs via an app showing lovely updates of the fun things they are doing that day. His keyworkers are amazing and have built lovely bonds with my son. He is beaming when I pick him up at the end of the day. I am so pleased we chose this nursery, we have nothing but praise for all the staff.

What can I say? If you want your child to be kind, polite, and friendly; if you want them to enjoy going to nursery; if you want the people looking after your child to care for them almost as much as you do then send them here! Acorns ONS is a quiet peaceful space where children can feel as if they're in their own home and not in a nursery. There are no loud toys and crazy children running around. All the children are playing kindly with each other and having fun learning and exploring. (As well as the odd "dance party" and "circus skills". They go outside often, no matter the weather and have a lovely park close by. The food is nutritious, balanced and of a fantastic quality. They have cooks, gardeners and cleaners who care as much for the space and the children as the carers (also freeing up the time for the carers to actually care for the children). All the staff are friendly and genuinely care for the children and take an interest in their overall well-being and development.

We feel confident that our daughter is safe, is cared for and is enjoying and thriving in these crucial and important points in her childhood.

Excellent care all round, staff are really friendly and go above and beyond for my child. Communication from management is amazing and really couldn't fault it. My child also brings home so many lovely pieces of artwork and she always comes home happy from her day at nursery.

My little girl attends this nursery and honestly, it was the best decision I made sending her there. Since attending she’s come on leaps and bounds. The staff have always been brilliant, and so lovely. Such a pleasant place and deserves all the praise it gets. I also love receiving regular updates.

My son attends this nursery twice a week, he had a dairy allergy when he started back in 2021 and the nursery were excellent explaining that all children with allergies are given separate eating utensils and all are colour coded. This made me feel more relaxed, safe in the knowledge that it was all taken care of and taken seriously. At the end of the day I was always provided with a form explaining what he had been doing throughout the day and if he had eaten etc, I couldn't recommend enough. We are always greeted by a smiling key worker and he loves showing me what he has made during craft time.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since January 2021. I was extremely nervous about sending her to nursery as she’d spent so much time with me during lockdown. Initially, my daughter had a few tears when she was going in, in the mornings. I would call after an hour and she would always be fine and happy playing. The tears quickly subsided and she now can’t wait to get into nursery. Every week they do lovely activities, and she often brings home a painting. She really enjoys being able to go out in the garden and play or hunt for bugs. All the staff are friendly, caring, approachable and take the time to tell you about the child’s day. I would highly recommend this nursery.

I have two children who attend this nursery and both can't wait to go through the doors in the morning. They are usually greeted by a happy friend face and come out just as happy as they went in. They spend a lot of time in the garden when the weather allows and a lot of craft activities. My child in the preschool group is very proud of her new Welsh language skills and often comes home and tells me her new phrases. My only criticism would be that we used to receive a newsletter, but now we don't, which may be a result of covid19, however, we do receive a lot more updates via email now, which is also welcome.

We are very impressed with the nursery. Our grandson enjoys attending and loves the staff. We are always kept well appraised of his progress and the staff are very friendly. The digital journal website is a great way of keeping us up to date with the activities.

My little girl has attended two Acorns nurseries since I’ve gone back to work and all I can say is that they are all amazing! She now attends Acorns ONS and is so happy, she loves attending, and even on days off, she asks to go and see her teacher and all her friends (which is a big relief to know your daughter is loving going to nursery). Every day she comes out happy and smiling and telling me what she has done that day. All the staff are amazing, I would definitely recommend this nursery to all of my friends and family. I love this nursery! My daughter has settled in so well and literally runs through the door in the morning. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming to the children. They do so many activities, my daughter brings home paintings most days and they get outside as much as they can. Definitely recommend this nursery.

I am very impressed and delighted with all the staff at the ONS nursery. They are always so happy and positive and have my child’s best interests at heart. The activities they do with my child are great, I love seeing what they get up to on the app. I feel my child is in very safe hands there and she is always happy going to nursery and leaving after a fun-filled day. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Very impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to other parents. The staff are super friendly and always visible to answer any concerns and questions. Staff take the time to get to know parents and to tell them about their child’s day on pick up. They’re very attentive to individual child needs. The nursery offers a range of activities for children including an outdoor area which has been great in my child’s development. Nursery offers healthy and a varied menu. I feel my son has developed a lot going to this nursery and has fantastic relationships with his key workers. I also enjoy the app which provides detail of my child’s daily activities with pictures and videos. I see my son develop regularly and become more and more independent. Nursery has been very supportive during the pandemic and have put clear measures in place putting me at ease to continue sending him to the nursery.

Brilliant staff, facilities, meals, parking, security, activities, and overall vibe. My child also really enjoys the food there. They also respect your wishes if you have specific dietary requirements or social media preferences with your child. The place always seems very clean and they are good with Covid safety too. Couldn't be better.

Really good staff. Children get a lot of structure and play which is a good balance. Growing son who is now 3 and a half years is getting prepped for school and nursery has been wonderful in supporting his development and progression. The nursery is extremely clean and highest standards in cleanliness and management. Kids are well looked after. He likes it so much that he doesn't even stop to say bye in the mornings, that's saying something.

Both of my sons have attended Acorns ONS (6 years apart) and both have enjoyed every minute. All of the carers are always welcoming and I have no idea how they find the time to complete the number of activities they do with the children every single day. The facilities at the nursery are fantastic - the range of meals is amazing and my youngest absolutely loves the outdoor play area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Acorns ONS to anyone (which I have done quite a few times over the years!).

My daughter loves it here and can't wait to run in every morning. The meals are varied and the activities are stimulating for the children. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend it.
