Chuckles is a homely, secure and uniquely situated nursery. Set in an acre of land with half of that dedicated purely to outside play for all ages, it has a country feel yet only two miles from the M4.

The Nursery follows the New Curriculum and believes fully that children should learn through exploration and ensures they have the materials, equipment and surroundings to enable that. Outdoor play is high on the daily agenda and the areas are designed to inspire every age group.

Family run since 1999, attention to detail is important. All rooms are monitored via CCTV cameras (14 in all).

The nursery cook prepares healthy well-balanced cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea time snack in line with Welsh Government Healthy Eating Guidelines.

In December 2023, Chuckles was graded in all six areas following a joint CIW and Estyn Inspection. In June 2024 the Nursery won National Day Nursery Association, Nursery of the Year Wales.

Chuckles is a fantastic nursery, staff are friendly, caring, down to earth and hard working. The children do lots of fun activities, the food is lovely. My older 2 sons have also attended the holiday club which is also well run. Good communication with parents. They have a lovely big garden, I would

I am overjoyed with Chuckles nursery, as a mother of 2, I found returning to work extremely nerve-wracking. Chuckles were amazing I really felt reassured that my youngest was in the best hands !!! Healthy meals, planned play to include all needed to promote and develop all vital skills, friendly staff
and an overall positive "home from home" attitude. Purely faultless 100% recommend.

My 2 boys attend this wonderful nursery. They have done since they were roughly 10 months old. It's like home from home for them. They absolutely love it here. They have great fun and we know they are truly loved and cared for. I can not fault the effort the staff go to to ensure my boys are happy,
comfortable and entertained. Every member of staff seems to know everything about our boys. My boys are very happy, sociable and confident thank you to Chuckles Nursery.

Having tried a few different nurseries this is by far the best nursery my children have attended. The staff are always warm and welcoming. The staff are professional at all times and activities are very well organised. There are great facilities both indoors and outdoors. The management are exemplary
and this is by far the most flexible nursery my children have attended. The cook is very good and always prepares nutritious food and my children eat very well. Most importantly my children are very happy at this nursery and always happy to go in when I take them.

I was so apprehensive about going back to work and leaving my 10-month-old son in the nursery. We visited so many nurseries before I chose Chuckles Nursery and all of them either didn't meet my expectations, were disorganised or just cold and clinical. However, from the moment we contacted Chuckles,
they were friendly, knowledgeable, organised, professional and most importantly, every member of staff are fantastic with my son!


They answered all my questions before my son started nursery, were really helpful with the finance side of things and also arranged the settling in sessions for both me and my son to get used to the idea of the nursery. Since he has been at Chuckles Nursery, his development has been fantastic and he has the perfect mixture of planned activities and free play, so no day is the same. His daily diary keeps me updated on his day and I love the paintings and cards he makes to bring home.


I can't recommend this nursery highly enough - thank you Team Chuckles!

Chuckles has been a fantastic nursery for all three of my children over the last 8 years. I always recommend them to all friends and family with children because of the high standard of care provided to the children plus the wide range of facilities particularly the outdoor areas.

Absolutely brilliant nursery. Both my daughter and son attended privately for me to work. They are caring and considerate of all aspects of their needs and were wonderful in helping to control my son's dietary problems when diagnosed as lactose/dairy intolerant. They bring the children on leaps and
bounds and are always planning new themes to support both learning and development to keep things interesting. Lovely, caring staff that the children come to know as their aunties. I cannot recommend them enough! A1!

After having used this nursery for both my children, I wouldn’t ever think of sending my children anywhere else. The staff are hardworking, understanding and most importantly they build a unique bond with the children.
They create a welcoming environment that makes me feel comforted of the fact of
leaving my child.
They create fun and a wide variety of activities so the children come home with lots of stories.
Highly recommended by myself.

My daughter has been at this nursery since she was 18 months she is now two and half years old. She herself will tell me how her day has gone and always comes home with positive stories about those who have cared for her and what she has got up too. Her learning has also developed since being at nursery

My little boy loves this nursery, he has come on leaps and bounds since starting at the age of 14 months. His eating has improved and so has his behaviour. He enjoys all of the activities that they do with him and the staff are lovely! Can’t fault them.

My son has been coming to the nursery since he was 1 years old. I can not thank the girls at Chuckles enough. They have all made my son feel so welcome. He has learnt so much. He can count objects independently count and sing in Welsh. He had made lots of friends and made lots of memories. Everyone
praises me on how well behaved and how well mannered he is and Chuckles have a big part to play. I would definitely recommend chuckles nursery to everyone.

Chuckles is an absolutely brilliant nursery and I couldn't ask for anything more from them. My son has been with them for over 4 years and they've always been accommodating to all of his and our needs. He has had a great start in his learning and we have Chuckles to thank for that. All of the team are
really friendly and understanding of the individual needs of each child. The nursery is really well set up for the children and from my son, I know they love it there. From my experience, I believe this is one of the best nurseries around.
