Acorns Duffryn in Newport is the perfect place for a child to learn, make friends and have a lot of fun.

Children are encouraged to learn by exploring their surroundings and immersing themselves in inventive play. The nursery provides a fun, homely environment with sensory equipment, books, trikes, a Forest School and a whole variety of other lively activities.

Staff at the nursery work to offer the same high standard of care that they would want for their own children.

Situated minutes away from the M4, the nursery is based in a picturesque Georgian building surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Children aged from one-month-old to five-years-old are welcome to join the nursery which is open Monday to Friday.

Fantastic nursery. All three of my children come to Acorns and I highly recommend. The staff are lovely and they love the nursery.

Fantastic staff that keep my daughter's progression going from week to week. She is always happy to go to nursery and has lots of stories to tell each day. She has formed good relationships with the other children and staff so her social skills have developed tremendously over the last two years.

of activities each week that we copy at home, we'll be sad when she heads off to school.

Both my children currently attend Acorns Duffryn (my daughter 4 and son 18 months). All the staff within the nursery have made this transition for me so easy and comfortable. I am always reassured that the children are going to have a good day.
I feel very lucky to have found such lovely ladies to
help care and look after my most prized possessions. What a team! Thank you all ladies,

This is the second nursery my daughter has attended as I was unhappy with the standard of care at her previous nursery.


At Acorns my daughter's day is well structured and well planned/thought out. She experiences a wide range of personalities from the staff and is given a high level of care. The

staff never fail to keep me fully informed of every detail of the day and my daughter thrives from the positive and comforting environment created there.

My little one has been going to Acorns for 5 months and is very happy and settled there. The staff ensure that she is settled and communication is always open and each member of staff are approachable.


The activities she participates in are appropriate to her age and ability and I find the staff

are engaging and enthusiastic with all aspects of her care. She comes home regularly with artwork and there are parents evenings available to see her progress.


I have never encountered a problem, but when something arises that needs discussion it is done in a personal manner and nothing is ever too much for them, they go above and beyond in their level of care.


I am very happy leaving my little one in their care - it is like leaving with them with family.

Acorns Duffryn is a fantastic nursery. The staff are very caring and have genuine affection for our children. I am extremely proud of the person my little boy has become. I am often complimented on how advanced my son is with his speech and motor skills which is overwhelming as a parent.
This is due
to the outstanding dedication and effort put in by all staff at Acorns Duffryn where key workers cater for all needs and expectations. I know my son is in the best hands and I cannot recommend Acorns Duffryn enough.

My daughter attends Acorns Duffryn and has been for the past 2 years. I feel that she is well looked after and cared for to a high standard. My daughter always seems happy going to and from nursery and talks about it every evening after we come home.
Acorns Duffryn provide a selection of fresh meals
every day and cover a well-balanced diet.
All activities seem suitable for the age and stage of every child. I feel my daughter has come on well in development for her age.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They give feedback about your child's day every day. Lots of different activities during the day and time child spends in different rooms. Also outdoor activities during summer. They do lots of arts and crafts. They also take photos of the child doing the artwork and
paste it behind the artwork before sending it home.

From the moment we stepped in we knew this was our nursery. Our daughter is very happy there. We struggle to get her to leave!
She goes full time and does many many more activities than we could do at home.
The sickness policy they have is sensible (with exception of conjunctivitis) and I like that
the staff will give medication if needed. Our daughter loves the staff and I feel that they take care of her well. Will give cuddles when needed. Only concern is there seems to be a lot of staff leaving recently.
