Acorns Duffryn in Newport is the perfect place for a child to learn, make friends and have a lot of fun.

Children are encouraged to learn by exploring their surroundings and immersing themselves in inventive play. The nursery provides a fun, homely environment with sensory equipment, books, trikes, a Forest School and a whole variety of other lively activities.

Staff at the nursery work to offer the same high standard of care that they would want for their own children.

Situated minutes away from the M4, the nursery is based in a picturesque Georgian building surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Children aged from one-month-old to five-years-old are welcome to join the nursery which is open Monday to Friday.

Acorns is incredibly well presented, all the staff are extremely lovely and caring and have gone above and beyond to ensure my sons transition into the nursery was smooth and he felt safe and well-adjusted.
He absolutely loves going and beams with pride whenever he brings me home his artwork and tells
me about all the fun activities he had done that day.
He even loves the food and is always really excited for ‘Nursery breakfast’ on our drive over in the morning.

From the moment we went to visit the nursery for the first time, I knew that I wanted to send our daughter there. It had such a lovely warm feeling and all the staff were so welcoming.
All the staff members are always so genuine and friendly and the care and happiness of all the children is their
main priority.
No matter who is at the door when you arrive you are always greeted so warmly and made to feel at home and I always feel comfortable leaving her with any of the staff members.
My little one took a few weeks to settle in but everyone was so patient and kind with her and now most days she will go walking in happily on her own accord. Everyone is always willing to give her a cuddle or some extra time if she needs it. It has definitely become her home away from home. Thank you to all the staff that work so hard and care so well for all the children. We think that you are all amazing.

My son has developed so well at Acorns. The team are friendly and welcoming every day. My son absolutely loves coming here and we will all be sad when the day comes when he has to leave to start school.

The best nursery there is around. Treats your child like their own, the food is amazing and healthy and I’m always satisfied she’s being fed correctly. My granddaughter learns loads at this nursery.

I can’t imagine our son going anywhere else. He has been going to Acorns since he was 9 months old and he will leave this summer to go to school. All the staff have made us feel part of their family and they genuinely care about the children and parents. The staff are long-standing and well trained,
hygiene faultless, the atmosphere calm but fun, great facilities, great communication, nutritious food all make in house, lovely activities and outside space. When our son graduates this year I will be crying with pride for him but also for myself as going there every day and chatting to the team there, knowing they care and are genuinely interested in the children in their care, has been one of the highlights of my day. Going to work and leaving your child in the care of others is always a difficult decision, but you can be certain at Acorns that they’ll find a second home.

My son absolutely loves this nursery and so do I. The safety here for the children is spot on, they inform you of everything that happens within your child’s day and even show you on an app. I would recommend this nursery to everyone, trust is a huge thing when it comes to your own children but I trust
this nursery 100% with the safety of my child, which says a lot I think! The staff are lovely, the security of the whole building is great and the children have so much fun. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. It’s clean, they have so much room for the children especially in the garden and they learn so much.

Acorns is such a wonderful nursery. The facilities are great, it's always so clean and the food is fantastic but more than anything, it's the staff that make this place such a treasure. They genuinely care for my daughter and her face lights up every day that she goes in, she has an absolute ball there
and I have never once felt worried or concerned. She is always so full of energy and excitement when she gets home, she chatters away non stop about her friends and what she's been up to, I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

Brilliant nursery, the quality of care is outstanding and my child loves attending the nursery. The activities set out for the children have a lot of thought put into them. Acorns Duffryn is such a clean nursery, the rooms are always tidy and always smelling fresh. The staff are all so kind and easy

Our little boy has been at Acorns since he was 5 months old and we have been totally impressed the whole time so far! When looking at nurseries in the area, it instantly felt right; the caring, calm, atmosphere and kind, cheerful staff standing out the most. My little boy always enjoys his time at nursery
and I am always fully confident that he is in safe and loving hands. All of the team are delightful to speak to and go out of their way to ensure all the little ones and parents are happy. Cannot recommend Acorns Duffryn enough!

This nursery goes above and beyond for all of their children attending there. From their kind attitudes all the way down to the personal chef and the cleanliness of the place it is definitely a 5* nursery which deserves a 5* review! Nothing is ever to much trouble. My daughter is very specific in her

My 18-month-old has been at Acorns Duffryn for 9 months. He attends 2 days a week and loves it. The staff do a range of activities indoors and outdoors and the girls are amazing. You can see they genuinely care about the children and enjoy their roles. They have a great range of tasty meals and snacks.
My son has come on so well and I'm always informed about his day. I couldn’t recommend highly enough.

I moved my daughter from a different nursery and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The staff are really lovely, and they are extremely welcoming and warm towards my daughter. My daughter can be very clingy but she has settled in very well at Acorns Duffryn and I am extremely happy to leave her here
as I know she will be cared for and looked after. The staff have also been very reassuring to me about leaving my daughter there as I know she can be quite unsettled at times. She is always making lovely arts and craft pieces to bring home.
The nursery itself is lovely and the garden is spacious which will be great for playing outside in the summer months. The Christmas evening was great with a lovely grotto with Santa which was well decorated and festive. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. My daughter seems a lot happier here and is worn out after a day at nursery. There isn’t a thing I am unhappy with, excellent nursery.

This nursery has been absolutely fantastic. I was so worried about sending my first child to a good nursery but as soon as I came to see Acorns I knew it was perfect for him and I felt so much better about the whole situation. I loved that you could come and look around at any time, no appointment needed
and everything was so clean. The staff are amazing with the children and there is plenty of staff around. I was so happy that when it was my second child’s turn I had no stress or worries and was actually excited for him to experience nursery life! There is a fab level of contact and communication from the nursery and I love that they send weekly emails with pictures and updates of how your child is getting on. I was so sad when the time came for them to start school! Couldn’t recommend this nursery enough!

I cannot speak highly enough of this nursery and the staff. From day one my children have had the greatest care, and I have been put at such ease leaving them there. For a parent that has their children in this nursery only one day a week, I cannot believe the amount they learn, achieve and feel so
welcome. The staff make sure all their needs are met, including helping out sort food for a fussy eater. My eldest child is graduating this year and I can honestly say I'm going to be heartbroken when she leaves. I might have more children to keep my connection with Duffryn.

I would highly recommend Acorns Duffryn to any potential parents. The staff are always helpful and friendly and willing to help and answer any questions. They always update me on my son's day and the activities they've been doing. The homelinks are excellent and he is doing nicely with home and nursery.
In particular, now my son has moved up to Butterflies he's settled in so well thanks to the help and patience of the staff.

Acorns are a very professional business, the premises is very clean, hygienic and safe for the little ones. The babies sleep area is temperature controlled so this gives me peace of mind. The staff are very personable and nothing is an issue, they are very attentive and it shows as the routine I have
at home has been replicated with both my son's in the nursery making life so much easier. My boys love the staff there too with is brilliant for me as a working mum.
My first son was allergic to tomatoes and my second had a milk intolerance - both were handled seamlessly in this nursery.
When I am in work I miss my boys but it is made so much easier when I can trust where they are and who is looking after them.

We are extremely happy with the service provided by the nursery. Our daughter is happy, confident and excited coming to nursery, which gives us the reassurance we need to know that she is happy when we leave her. The staff are kind, supportive and helpful. We couldn't ask for more from a nursery.
