Acorns Oakfield Street was a great transition from Baby Acorns, for us. We found the staff approachable and flexible in their approach to bringing the children across to a bigger nursery. Since then, our boy has flourished and developed a close relationship with his key workers. I can't speak highly enough about the work they do with the children and the extra help they've provided, when needed. I feel confident my son is looked after here and he never complains about attending.
My son moved here from baby Acorns and has really enjoyed it. He loves his keyworkers and all the staff, and often talks about them at home and the fun things he has done at nursery. The activities the staff organise are really creative and inspiring and he always seems to be learning something new. The food selection is great and the rooms and the garden are lovely. Thank you for staying open during the lockdowns, it has really helped.
Our little boy loves his days at Acorns Oakfield Street (Roath). He is always full of tales of his adventures in the garden and forest school, what painting and craft projects he's been doing, and all the imaginative play that is encouraged by staff. They cater to his dietary requirements (no dairy) and make sure he is never left out of meals and treats. He has a strong bond with his key workers. We've seen him grow and develop into a sociable and confident young child thanks to the support of staff. Highly recommend this nursery, which both nurtures and inspires little minds.
Friendly staff, lots of fun activities.
My son also went to Acorns, transitioning from Baby Acorns.
Smooth transition to put children and parents at ease! I highly recommend Acorns.
Both of our daughters have attended Acorns Oakfield Street (Roath) (our eldest in 2018 and our youngest currently). The staff are friendly and they do a wide range of activities which are age-appropriate, engaging and fun. Most importantly the girls enjoyed/enjoy attending and have a sense of 'belonging' there. Both of my daughters have severe nut allergies; staff go the extra mile to ensure their safety.
The staff are amazing and so caring. The facilities are fantastic.
Above all, I know that our son is in a very safe environment where he is cared for to the highest level and where he is incredibly happy.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Acorns Oakfield Street to anyone.
Starting from when I was first showed around the nursery I had a lovely experience. The staff were welcoming, professional and warm. I really liked what I was shown and the way the nursery works and what it offers for a child. Settling in sessions were easy to arrange and made flexible so it would fit around my schedule. I'm really pleased with how my son is developing, learning and just enjoying his time in nursery. Staff always provides feedback at the end of the day and I can see what he is doing by using the application where staff can post about daily activities. I would recommend this nursery.
Excellent nursery, we have been very pleased with the service provided. Always friendly and welcoming even through the difficult periods of the pandemic. Would highly recommend this nursery to friends and family.
Acorns Oakfield Street provides exceptional care for my daughter who will turn 4 in June. She has been in the care of Acorns since she was 6.5 months old and before her my son from 14 weeks old. The care, love, interaction, attention and development the Acorns team give her is exceptional. She bounces in, in the morning and is always happy and contented at pick up, and full of stories to tell about the fun she has had all day. She gets to do all the things I don’t have time to do at home, and her creative side/desires are fulfilled. Most important her manners and the way she interacts with her peers are extremely pleasant, and this is a huge reflection of the time she spends at Acorns. Would not hesitate to recommend.
This is a wonderful nursery and my little boy loves going there. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the nursery is really clean and the food menu choices are excellent. My little boy gets involved in lots of great indoor and outdoor activities which he loves coming home and telling me about.
My daughter started at Acorns Oakfield Street in September having previously been at Baby Acorns but having had an extended break during the first national lockdown. Every effort has been made to welcome the children back safely. It is a warm and caring environment with lots of activities and time outdoors. It has been brilliant to see my daughter enjoy her relationships with all of her friends, learn so many new things and grow in confidence during these six months. As a solo mum being able to access child care in this lockdown has been invaluable and knowing that my daughter is so happy and secure at Acorns Oakfield Street is hugely reassuring. I would highly recommend it.
We love Acorns Oakfield Street! My son runs into nursery every morning, where we are always greeted with a smile. All of the staff are approachable, professional and friendly. The standard of care provided is extremely high and I wouldn't think about sending my son anywhere else. Being a bit of a fussy eater, he is always provided with an alternative meal if he refuses what is on the menu, which is very much appreciated. The activities are fantastic and it's great receiving artwork and updates on the app. Overall we are very satisfied with the nursery as a whole. Thank you team Oakfield Street!
My grandson has transitioned from Baby Acorns with his keyworkers. This enabled him to settle very quickly. His confidence has grown, his communication and understanding of language. On daily feedback, we are told about the lovely activities, how he has eaten, slept and how he has been throughout the day. The app is added to weekly, lovely insight to see what my grandson does in the day.
Lovely nursery and working really hard in difficult times as well. Our son loves it here and gains loads from it. I feel he is very well supported and looked after. The education is excellent and follows a curriculum.
I can’t recommend Acorns highly enough. My little boy is 3 and has loved Acorns since he was a baby. The nursery is always clean and well run and they do so much well thought out activities and learning with the children. The garden space is fantastic as are the inside spaces. The staff are friendly and caring. They have been excellent during the pandemic and we wouldn’t have coped without them.
Every member of staff deserves a shout out from the cook to the cleaners and of course my daughter's key workers who are very professional and most importantly caring towards the children.
The team feel like family and we are so lucky to be able to send our child here. Thank you, everyone, at Acorns Oakfield Street street for doing such a wonderful job - we are so grateful.
Couldn't recommend highly enough. They have excellent facilities and come up with creative ways to keep my son entertained and help with his development. The staff are all friendly and professional and are excellent with the children and at keeping parents informed.
My daughter absolutely loves attending this nursery. She has formed great relationships with her group and key workers. The staff are amazing and have the right balance of work and education to get her ready for school. Highly recommend this nursery.
My daughter had a great time at Acorns Oakfield. The staff are friendly, approachable and my daughter formed great relationships with both her key workers and the other children. The layout of the nursery is also perfect for pre-schoolers, and it has formed a perfect introduction to learning before she started school.
Thank you for taking care of my child so well.
