Acorns Oakfield Street, located near Cardiff city centre, is in a quiet conservation area off Newport Road.

The nursery's team of warm and friendly staff welcomes children aged 18 months to five-years-old. It is the partner nursery for Baby Acorns round the corner in Partridge Road.   

A qualified, early years teacher visits the nursery several times each week for teaching sessions which are carefully planned to inspire the children’s potential for learning.

Qualified Forest School leaders ensure the children learn about the environment around them while Attribute Sports Development work with the children encouraging movement, wellbeing and healthy bodies.

The nursery provides the ideal stepping stone from nursery to primary school with all equipment and resources of high quality and chosen for their play and learning potential.

Acorns Oakfield Street (Roath) have been looking after our 4-year-old son since February 2020. They have been incredible in every respect.
The staff are amazing and so caring. The facilities are fantastic.
Above all, I know that our son is in a very safe environment where he is cared for to the
highest level and where he is incredibly happy.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Acorns Oakfield Street to anyone.

Starting from when I was first showed around the nursery I had a lovely experience. The staff were welcoming, professional and warm. I really liked what I was shown and the way the nursery works and what it offers for a child. Settling in sessions were easy to arrange and made flexible so it would fit
around my schedule. I'm really pleased with how my son is developing, learning and just enjoying his time in nursery. Staff always provides feedback at the end of the day and I can see what he is doing by using the application where staff can post about daily activities. I would recommend this nursery.

Acorns Oakfield Street provides exceptional care for my daughter who will turn 4 in June. She has been in the care of Acorns since she was 6.5 months old and before her my son from 14 weeks old. The care, love, interaction, attention and development the Acorns team give her is exceptional. She bounces
in, in the morning and is always happy and contented at pick up, and full of stories to tell about the fun she has had all day. She gets to do all the things I don’t have time to do at home, and her creative side/desires are fulfilled. Most important her manners and the way she interacts with her peers are extremely pleasant, and this is a huge reflection of the time she spends at Acorns. Would not hesitate to recommend.

This is a wonderful nursery and my little boy loves going there. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the nursery is really clean and the food menu choices are excellent. My little boy gets involved in lots of great indoor and outdoor activities which he loves coming home and telling me about.

My daughter started at Acorns Oakfield Street in September having previously been at Baby Acorns but having had an extended break during the first national lockdown. Every effort has been made to welcome the children back safely. It is a warm and caring environment with lots of activities and time outdoors.
It has been brilliant to see my daughter enjoy her relationships with all of her friends, learn so many new things and grow in confidence during these six months. As a solo mum being able to access child care in this lockdown has been invaluable and knowing that my daughter is so happy and secure at Acorns Oakfield Street is hugely reassuring. I would highly recommend it.

We love Acorns Oakfield Street! My son runs into nursery every morning, where we are always greeted with a smile. All of the staff are approachable, professional and friendly. The standard of care provided is extremely high and I wouldn't think about sending my son anywhere else. Being a bit of a fussy
eater, he is always provided with an alternative meal if he refuses what is on the menu, which is very much appreciated. The activities are fantastic and it's great receiving artwork and updates on the app. Overall we are very satisfied with the nursery as a whole. Thank you team Oakfield Street!

My grandson has transitioned from Baby Acorns with his keyworkers. This enabled him to settle very quickly. His confidence has grown, his communication and understanding of language. On daily feedback, we are told about the lovely activities, how he has eaten, slept and how he has been throughout the
day. The app is added to weekly, lovely insight to see what my grandson does in the day.

I can’t recommend Acorns highly enough. My little boy is 3 and has loved Acorns since he was a baby. The nursery is always clean and well run and they do so much well thought out activities and learning with the children. The garden space is fantastic as are the inside spaces. The staff are friendly
and caring. They have been excellent during the pandemic and we wouldn’t have coped without them.

This nursery is exemplary in all fields. The staff continue to provide my daughter with the best care and have been so kind and nurturing towards her.
Every member of staff deserves a shout out from the cook to the cleaners and of course my daughter's key workers who are very professional and most
importantly caring towards the children.

Acorns Nursery has been part of our lives for five years and the love and care given to both our girls has been faultless. Really lovely settings, brilliant staff, the meals given are varied and healthy (and always enjoyed by my otherwise fruit and vegetable phobic girls!) with a focus on learning through
play and fun.

My daughter has loved her time at Acorns. The space is light, fun and entertaining - there is always something new and varied for the children. The things they put on for Christmas/Mothers day etc are amazing - so lovely for the family to feel so welcome in the children's space. The outdoor space is
fantastic - great to have grass and cannot wait until my daughter is old enough to start Forest School. So pleased that she's had all these fantastic experiences at Oakfield Street Acorns.
