Acorns Oakfield Street (Roath)

My son has thrived at Acorns Oakfield Street very well. They have been amazing with his transition from Baby Acorns and made all of us feel very reassured and confident with the care provided. They are always so kind, patient and reassuring and always happy to help whenever I felt there was an area where my son lacked his development/needs. He loves coming here all the time and has made really good friends along the way. We are very sad to leave the nursery to move on to preschool. Just want to thank all the staff members for looking after my son and providing delicious meals for him all the time.

Our little boy joined Acorns Oakfield Street at six months old and has now been at Oakfield Street since the summer of 2022. We can't thank all the staff enough for how friendly and welcoming they have been. Acorns are like his second home and it's a testament to the wonderful environment provided.

My daughter has been attending Acorns since she was 11 months old and absolutely loves it. She's always excited to go to nursery and often talks about her day and playing with her friends. All of the staff are very attentive and obviously care deeply for all the kids at the nursery. I'm so glad that we chose Acorns!

Overall amazing experience and enjoys being in his group with his friends, such a key part being in the same group and same key workers has created such a bond.

There are always lots of great and well-thought-out activities going on and it's been easy to see the positive impact of these and the friendly and caring environment. We are always happy to drop him off here at the beginning of the day.

The nursery seems to be a great place for my child, over four weeks she has developed significantly and gained confidence in being around older children. We love the nursery set-up and all the activities that she gets to do during her stay.

My son had the best days of his life at the Oakfield nursery. The staff are friendly and caring. They follow good hygiene practice and the quality of food served to kids is healthy. My little one will surely miss this place as he starts his nursery school soon. Thank you Acorn nursery.

My daughter has attended Acorns since the age of 1 and has been with the Oakfield Street nursery since she was 2.5 years (having moved from Baby Acorns). The care that she has been given throughout her time here is second to none. The staff are professional, patient, and experienced and my daughter is as comfortable being looked after by them as she is when being looked after by a family member. Attending Acorns has helped my daughter develop in confidence and become equipped with the skills she will need to move on to primary school in September. Being at this lovely nursery has helped my little girl become the sociable, happy and clever little person that she is today - thank you for everything.

Our daughter has been at Acorns Oakfield Street for two years and absolutely loves it. Since the move to Oakfield Street she has excelled with her interpersonal skills, loving the free flow play and activities with her friends. The staff are all very helpful and really care for the children. She is always happy to go in and play.

My little boy loves going to nursery at Acorns Oakfield Street. He is very fond of his 'teachers' and has made some lovely friends. He is also a huge fan of the cook! I am always impressed with how much fun stuff they do in the day and he often brings back paintings, crafts, and other delights. I know he will be more than ready for school in September thanks to the activities and care they have provided over the years.

I would highly recommend Acorns Oakfield Street. My daughter had been away from a nursery setting for a year and a half due to Covid-19 and Acorns has proved to be instrumental in helping her adapt to being away from home and socialising again. The nursery is clean and tidy, with a lovely garden for the children to play. The nurses and managers are warm and friendly. The communication is great - daily updates at pick-up time, regular photos, and descriptions of activities. The staff are open to discussing issues and are happy to help in any way they can. My daughter loves the nursery and has even asked to change her hours so she can stay for the day rather than just the morning session. She loves the time spent with her friends and has good relationships with the nurses. As a parent, I couldn't ask for much more.

Such a fantastic nursery full of fantastic people who show sincere love and care for all the children who attend. My child is so happy and secure there and has a genuine love for each person at the nursery from the key workers to the chef. We couldn't be happier as parents.

Acorns Oakfield Street is a fantastic nursery, from its management to its excellent development activities for little ones. My little one absolutely loves going to Acorns, every day is different and includes fun educational activities. All the staff are friendly and always willing to help and support.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Acorns Oakfield Street for their high standard of care. My son thoroughly enjoyed his time at this nursery. Every time I picked him up he had something to show me that he made in nursery and he took pride in sticking his artwork on his bedroom wall. It has been lovely to see how happy he has been talking about his friends in nursery and the different things they have done together. The ladies have always been welcoming and they always showed warmth to my son which I very much appreciate. Thank you very much for creating lovely memories for my son.

The care and education my daughter has received during her time in Acorns has been outstanding. All the staff take great time and care of each child and this is evident in the way my daughter talks about the staff like close family friends at home. They have lovely themed terms with links to home so that as parents you can get involved with what’s going on in the nursery. They have prepared her well for the next stage “big school”. I would highly recommend Acorns to all my friends and family.

Our son has attended Baby Acorns and now Acorns, Oakfield Street, and since day one, it has been absolutely fantastic. Our son loves going in every day and his progress has been a testament to the simply brilliant and extremely attentive staff and culture they provide to the children. We cannot recommend Acorns enough (both Baby Acorns on Partridge Road and Acorns, Oakfield Street). Our son attends 5 days a week due to our work commitments and knowing that he is so very well looked after makes us feel so assured! Again, could not recommend enough!

I cannot recommend this nursery enough! Overall the staff are just wonderful, my little boy loves his key workers and has progressed so much since he started with Acorns. The setting is lovely, nice big open rooms with lots of different activities and toys. The outdoor area is great, and as I take pride in my cleanliness I am so pleased with how well-maintained Acorns nurseries are. You get a good vibe as soon as you step into the place. I would highly recommend it to everyone, my little nephew also attends the Baby Acorns site.
