Selca Day Nursery - Llanharan

The children have always had fun, and I love the daily pictures/updates. Communication is excellent and feels lucky that the children have such a lovely nursery on our doorstep.

My little boy is non-verbal and so I was apprehensive about leaving him in a nursery setting. However, the wonderful staff at Selca Day Nursery have made him feel comfortable and adapted ways that work well with my little fella. He absolutely loves one member of staff in particular, and I feel his time with Selca Day Nursery has helped him to be able to settle into a school setting more easily when the time comes. There are daily reports via an app on my phone which usually include photos so I can see what fun he's been up to. I use the free childcare offer but unlike some nurseries, he has meals and snacks included in his day without any extra cost to myself. Overall I would highly recommend Selca Day Nursery to anyone looking for childcare within the Llanharan area.

My son has attended for 8 years and due to this has attended full days from 8 months old to wrap around, breakfast club and after school club. My 18 month old also now attends. Amazing staff, caring, flexible and understanding. Children are always happy there and are messy coming home which shows how much fun they have had with activities and Learning through play. There have been many improvements over the years which have always had the children at the heart which is exactly how it should be and they have directly benefited the children. I have to mention how outstanding the manager is and has been over the last 8 years, you are an asset to the nursery.

Such a lovely nursery. My little girl has been attending since October 2021 and goes 3 days a week. On the days that she doesn't go she misses it. The staff at Selca are lovely and clearly passionate about what they do. My little girl is in the butterflies class and has come on so much since starting there. I love that they update on an app each day and send individual photos of what she has been doing each day along with a detailed description including what she has been learning, how she's been feeling and what she has eaten. Each month they concentrate on a different topic, which makes the little ones so inquisitive and interested, every time I collect my little girl from Selca she is so excited to tell me about what she has learned that day. Thank you so much for creating such a welcoming, educational environment for my little girl.

Our 10-month-old daughter has settled so well into nursery since starting in February! We were worried about her settling as she is very attached to her mum, but within a couple of weeks, she has settled amazingly into the baby room! She loves all the other children in her room and adores the baby room staff! We honestly can’t thank the three staff in the baby room enough for settling her in so well, she doesn’t even look back and cry anymore when being handed over! We love seeing all the pictures that the staff upload of her every day carrying out activities! We have saved every photo from her first session until now in an album for us to look back on! We love how much the staff go above and beyond to make sure she is happy and contented every time she’s in the nursery! We always feel so relaxed dropping her off and know she is having fun! They have also been a great help with her weaning and trying new foods!

I have got to know some of the staff members through pick up and drop off but a lot of staff I am still unaware of their names.

We would definitely recommend this nursery.

My children have attended Selca since they were 8-months-old until they started school full time. They now attend their breakfast club, after school club and holiday club and love it and every member of staff that looks after them!

She's just received her school place offer and will be starting in September, and honestly, I feel everyone at Selca has done an amazing job of preparing her for school, particularly through the pandemic in which most of her little life has been lived through. We can’t fault the nursery, facilities or staff. Keep doing what you do!

My daughter has been attending Selca since she was ten months old. She's now three and ready to move onto school in September, but she'll be back for wrap around! She absolutely loves it at nursery. The staff are amazing, activities are fun and educational. They have a lovely little garden, which is used often and a park nearby. Communication with parents is great, the app for reports works well, and it's nice to see photos of her having fun in the nursery.

Selca Day Nursery is a fantastic nursery. My son started back in March 2017, and my daughter is there now. I have never had any problems with the nursery in all that time. I consider the staff, past and present, as friends and always felt that they really do care for the children. I would highly recommend Selca to anyone looking for childcare.

Always patient and great. Always got time and keep you informed, the staff always get in touch if needed. My children are always happy to go in and come home happy too. The staff are very gentle and understanding with one of my children who struggle especially.

Great staff. A fantastic setting for fun and learning. My little girl benefits so much from the time she's spent here. From the understanding shown during the settling in sessions to the daily reports I get sent, I'm always confident my little one is safe, looked after and happy. She gets opportunities to learn about lots of different topics and gets messy too! The food menu is fab with loads of variety and healthy choices. Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant nursery. My daughter loves it, and it’s the only thing that works to get her out of bed! Really could not be happier with this nursery. They do so much with the children, and it surprises me every day the amount she is learning through play!

I am contacted if he has an accident and feel he's in very safe hands when this has happened.
