Overall Experience
Our 4 year old has been coming here since she was 9 months old and loves it. She adores the staff and talks excitedly about the wide variety of activities, games, stories, songs and learning experiences she has enjoyed. She has learned so many skills and is full of confidence thanks to the experienced and highly qualified staff team.
The staff have also been wonderful helping our 8 month old to settle in and I'm sure she will come to love it just as much as her big sister. The environment in each room is colourful and appealing with plenty to see and do without being cluttered, and the range of meals and snacks provided is excellent. Queries or concerns are dealt with swiftly and appropriately and our daughter has especially enjoyed getting involved in special events such as fundraising days or space week.

I have recommended this nursery to several friends and will continue to do so. Keep up the good work!!

Overall Experience

My child has attended the nursery for a year and I could not be happier. The staff team are fantastic always happy to see me and my child and the handover is great, it means I can leave for work knowing my child is happy and safe. The big bonus for our family was the fact all the staff are qualified with no students, so I know my daughter is in the best hands. I would recommend the nursery for all of us mum's out there that need that extra bit of reassurance.

Overall Experience

Brilliant nursery from all aspects. My child loves coming and is always happy when I pick him up at the end of the day. Every single member of the staff are qualified and also have first aid and safe guarding which is outstanding! Speaking from a mothers point of view my child's happiness, wellbeing and safety is priority. I would highly recommend this nursery it is second to none!

Overall Experience

My eldest child attended this nursery and I was very impressed with both the staff and overall level of care she received. Move forward 8 years and I am delighted to say that the high standard of care remains the same. I think the fact that many of the original staff still work there speaks for itself. I like the fact that we are always greeted in a warm and friendly manner and the children always seem happy and busy with lots of exciting activities.

My child has been at this nursery for 4 months.
She is extremely happy when she goes into nursery and when she is picked up.
The staff are always welcoming and greet us with a smile.
The included meals, nappies and when she was younger formula was a great help.
She's coming along great and it's nice to be able to look in her learning story to see what she has been up to at nursery.

Overall Experience
My daughter, 13 months old, has been attending this nursery since she was 10 months old. She settled very well with thanks to the lovely staff within the room. As soon as we pull up to nursery she has a big smile and is keen to go and see all her friends. She has come along fantastic already coming out with lots of new words from the lovely stories and songs that she joins in with throughout the day.
Every afternoon I am met with a very happy little girl who has had lots of fun throughout the day and I receive a note which details what she has done throughout the day. A helpful inclusion of the nursery is that they provide breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and snacks throughout the morning. They also provide formula milks until the age of one and all nappies and wipes for the time they need them, that is all included in the price which is very helpful which means I don't need to bundle lots of things with me.

I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone.

I have worked for Bright horizons since 2004 and have been fortunate to work at our wonderful Barrow nursery all that time. I received my NNEB certification and have an NVQ L3 in Leadership and Management.

I am dedicated to the nursery and feel extreme pride to provide all of our hospital and community parents with a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for their children.

As a parent, myself I understand your needs and hope to provide the best quality care and fun opportunities for learning I can at our nursery.

Hello, I’m Steph and I’ve been working here at our Barrow Nursery since we opened in September 2004 after gaining my NVQ level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education.

Over the years I have gained a wealth of knowledge, and experience and becoming a parent myself this has helped me, support families, especially when leaving their little ones for the first time to start their journey. I also hold the role of Nursery SENCO supporting our families of children with additional needs to ensure every child has the best possible start. I see myself as a very understanding and reassuring person and will always be here to speak to anyone who may need to chat about concerns they have.
