Kids 1st Wynyard

Both of my children love going to Kids First. My eldest loves his friends and key worker, and I’m so happy he still gets to have that social interaction during Covid. They do so many exciting activities and he learns so much too - I’m amazed some of the things he talks about at home. I was worried my youngest wouldn’t settle into nursery as due to Covid she’d never been apart from me. However, she absolutely loves going and gets so excited when we pull up in the car. I feel the staff know both of my children well; they’re not just a number.

The team at Kids 1st are amazing! My daughter started nursery from the 1st October at just under 6 months old, I was really nervous about leaving her there not knowing how she would be with new people when she has had very little social contact in her life so far, but she absolutely loves it! She’s always happy when she comes home from nursery which is lovely to see as a parent.

I would definitely recommend this nursery, our daughter absolutely loves going to nursery she smiles as soon as she recognises the sign! And her development has come on leaps and bounds in just a month of attending. The staff are lovely and really helpful. The nursery itself is a fantastic, very stimulating environment for little ones to play and learn!

Kids 1st Wynyard is a lovely nursery! The staff are very professional and friendly towards both children and parents! My eldest used to attend and now little boy (now 3 years) has been coming since January 2019! And since coming back in September 2020 after been off during lockdown he absolutely loves coming to nursery, always talks about going and what he’s been up to while there. Couldn’t ask for a nicer nursery to look after my children.

Great nursery, my little girl loves it and we get a detailed report on what she’s been up to each day. She has done so many new activities and has settled in really well. The staff are very friendly and professional and you can see they genuinely care for the children. They also try to stick to the routines parents already have in place which is really helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

They’ve been fantastic at dealing with the COVID pandemic and made parents and children feel at ease.

A brilliant nursery with a great emphasis on both the child and, even during Covid, instilling a family atmosphere and supporting the parents. The key-workers are excellent and we can't recommend this nursery highly enough. Regular contact. Daily sheets as to what's been happening that day and brilliant staff. So pleased our little lad is with Kids 1st Wynyard.

Amazing team who are so welcoming and friendly, we couldn't have picked a better location. The steps taken to help and develop the kids every day are great to see, and we can see the difference. It's only been 10-weeks, and we couldn't be happier with the nursery.

The nursery is always giving us updates, and I feel extremely comfortable leaving our daughter here as I know she will be very well looked after by the staff.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 11-months-old and has loved it since day one! The series of settling in sessions were perfect to get her used to the staff and new surroundings. They do lots of varied and interesting activities including outside activities. It is lovely to get the daily sheet at pick up to know what they have been doing throughout the day, including what she has eaten! Throughout covid, the staff have done a superb job of keeping the children safe in bubbles and having safe drop-off/pick-up procedures to ensure it is as safe as can be for all children and their families, as well as nursery staff.

My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 10-months-old and this month she has made the final move from Puffin class to pre-school. This has been the most difficult transition so far as she has an extremely good bond with her key worker, who is amazing. With the assistance of all the staff in both classes I now have an extremely happy pre-school kid. My daughter is so happy to be back with her friends who had moved classes before her and is already making special bonds with her new teachers. The staff always go the extra mile and do everything they can to make things right for both my daughter and us.

The communication is fantastic, we are able and feel very happy to ask the nursery to help us when it comes to things our daughter is achieving at home, when she first started walking we told the nursery this and the following day she received a certificate for confidently walking around the room with a walker! Each milestone our daughter hits we tell the nursery so they can help her do it.

I am extremely satisfied with the care and attention we received during my child’s transition into the nursery. We received a lovely welcome which gave me a real sense of being listened to, respected and overall confidence in the nursery team and what the nursery has to offer. A big thank you to all the staff involved. I must say I continue to be just as happy with the nursery now as I did then - highly recommend the nursery!

Absolutely amazing nursery. This is the second time I’ve used Kids 1st Wynyard. My daughter was born preterm and they catered for her needs in the baby room extremely well and right through to preschool. My son is currently in the baby room and also had health needs and some difficult behaviours initially and the staff dealt with those incredibly well. Both children had cows milk protein allergy and specialist formulas and medication and the staff took it in their stride. Well done Kids 1st I would recommend them to anyone looking for a nursery!

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kids 1st. Both my son and daughter have been to Kids 1st (my son is in the baby room now). As a business owner my working patterns vary from week to week and Kids 1st have accommodated additional days and arrangements to cover childcare extremely well which made my life a lot easier. The baby room welcomed both of my children into nursery and both loved the experience. I always feel able to leave them and know they will be well cared for.

My son has been in from 9 months until school and has loved the place and the people. I can't thank the staff enough for caring for and teaching him so much. He's confident, polite, kind and considerate, bright and really well-prepared for school.

From his first few weeks in babies right through to preschool I have trusted the staff and have had no worries or concerns. I got loads of information about how he'd been during the day when I picked him up; got a full rundown of feeds, nappies, sleep every day, loved the daily diary!

The staff are friendly, engaging, caring and absolutely great with the kids. The activities are great, my son has learnt loads, and especially enjoyed learning about space and the solar system. He also enjoyed dancing, crafts, drawing and painting, playing in the garden and the interactive whiteboard.

No negatives for me, it has been a wholly positive experience! Maybe a little more expensive than other nurseries we looked at but definitely worth it.

My daughter has struggled to settle into nursery for the first 6 months but the last month I have seen a massive improvement and this is down to the amazing staff. They are always so warm and friendly towards her. I have seen her come on leaps and bounds in her development since she started. I am amazed at the words she can now say.

My son has been at Kids 1st nursery since he was 4 months old and we have had no issues at and well equipped and would recommend to all friends :)

My son has been going to Kids 1st for almost 2 years. He only goes one day a week but all of the carers know him well and he is always happily playing when we pick him up. We are very pleased we chose Kids 1st and can’t praise the staff enough.

Our child has been attending Kids 1st Wynyard from 12 months of age and loves it. The staff are all wonderful and very accommodating to children’s individual needs.

Development is encouraged through age-appropriate activities and in line with parents wishes. Our child comes home happy each day and often surprises us with new things learnt.

We would highly recommend this nursery to anyone in the local area looking for childcare.
