The teachers at Minnows are fantastic and their help and support for my daughter is amazing. Helping to learn a lot of new things and ideas and I couldn't ask for anything more. She loves coming and doesn't want to leave at times.

I love Minnows. It is simply amazing as it has helped my little one to be independent and more confident of herself. Tapestry is another amazing app which enables me as the mum to see what event my girl has been on during her time at the nursery. The teachers are amazing in all ways, especially in assisting my little girl to be well and confident. I would recommend Minnows over and over again as it has improved my little girl. Since my daughter has been at this nursery, she has learnt so much, thanks to all the staff in the room she is in. They are all helpful, kind, caring and loving team. When it's time for my daughter to leave, it will be a shame for her because she enjoys it so much but we are grateful for all their help

My son started Minnows in may 2017. From his start date to present I am so pleased with Minnows. His communication skills are amazing, he's learnt to share, he uses his manners correctly and he's grown up so quickly! He found it slightly difficult to leave my side at first which is very understanding but nothing settled me more knowing the staff do everything in their power to help him feel safe and comfortable. His keyworker has had a massive impact in his life. He talks about her whilst at home and speaks so highly of his room leader. I cannot thank her enough for her efforts towards him and how she keeps me so informed with his development. He was due to start nursery in April 2018 due to him turning 3 but I've requested for him to stay at Minnows until the following September due to how outstanding they all are with him. The facilities are amazing. Thumbs up to each and every one of you and thank you so much to you all treating my son like your own.
My son has come on massively in all areas since attending. He has made new friends, learnt to share and is very happy. If I ever have a concern or problem, staff are approachable and helpful. Great standard of service by all.
Find the staff friendly and the nursery setting welcoming. My daughter didn't like being left and staff worked hard to make her feel comfortable. Activities are varied and fun. I recommend this nursery.

Adele began her childcare career at the age of 16 and has built a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience across a variety of early years settings. Her journey has included working within Montessori nurseries, primary schools, afterschool clubs, and curiosity and play-based nursery environments, giving her a broad understanding of how children learn and thrive.
Adele first joined Nunthorpe Nurseries in 2010 and proudly returned in 2026, bringing with her many years of additional experience, fresh ideas, and a continued passion for delivering high-quality childcare.
As Nursery Manager at Minnows Day Nursery, Adele is dedicated to creating a warm, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to grow in confidence and independence. Her passion for education, combined with her commitment to giving children the very best start in life, is reflected throughout the nursery each day.
Adele is also the setting’s Safeguarding Lead and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), ensuring all children are supported, protected, and given every opportunity to thrive.
