Both of my girls went to Minnows while we lived in the Middlesbrough area, and we even carried on for a few months after we moved because we loved it so much. Sadly, we eventually had to move them somewhere closer to home - and it was such a hard decision to say goodbye. The staff at Minnows have been nothing short of amazing from the very start, when my eldest joined as a baby. They've felt like a second family to us, always treating our girls as if they were their own and helping them grow, learn, and thrive. We are so grateful for everything they've done - it's no surprise they are rated so highly in the area.

My grandson attends and he loves it. The staff are amazing so polite and caring. He always comes home smiling and the food must be good as well as he is always full and telling me what he has eaten. Lovely place lovely people.
My great-grandson is very happy and settled. I offered a place at a school nursery and have declined it for the moment.
Always had a great experince when visiting this nursery. I only visit on certain occasions when helping out with my grandson but have always been made to feel welcome. My grandson has come on so much with the help of staff here. Great nursery.
We love this nursery, the staff is all lovely and do anything they can to help, my daughter took a while to settle but with nursery help and patience she is so much better now, my daughter loves the nursery and is happy, they always handover how the day has to be, very friendly nursery lovely staff.

Staff are always very warm and welcoming, she is currently potty training and they have been so helpful.
Staff are always very accommodating, as a working parent I have sometimes needed to change her sessions at the last minute, this has always been done without a fuss.
I was always very nervous sending my daughter to nursery, having worked in them myself for many years, the girls have always been very understanding and always communicate really well so I always know what she has been up to during her day. She runs into her session times and doesn't look back, she is always clean and happy when I collect her too.
Brilliant nursery and I couldn't have asked for a better setting for her to start her journey.

The nursery has shown support to the community by sharing milk and other items; Minnows reflects the needs of both the parents and the children. My daughter regularly tells us how much fun she has, not only playing with toys etc, but also with the other children and the staff.
Minnows staff are amazing. Their connection with the children is strong. This has helped my daughter open up and talk about her feelings.

The days he's there he can't contain his excitement as we approach the doors. He's happy to see any member of staff when being dropped off and goes in without a fuss.
When we go to collect him, he's always in a very happy mood, usually covered in mud and/or food meaning he's had an active and fun day.
Brilliant nursery with amazing staff, my little boy loves coming here and gets greeted lovingly by all the staff. She has made amazing progress since starting.
My experience at Minnows has been good. I've always felt me and my child were looked after. Staff communication with me is excellent. My son settled in with the staff without hesitation and they always have new activities so that the children don't get bored. I'm forever grateful to the amazing team.

Adele began her childcare career at the age of 16 and has built a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience across a variety of early years settings. Her journey has included working within Montessori nurseries, primary schools, afterschool clubs, and curiosity and play-based nursery environments, giving her a broad understanding of how children learn and thrive.
Adele first joined Nunthorpe Nurseries in 2010 and proudly returned in 2026, bringing with her many years of additional experience, fresh ideas, and a continued passion for delivering high-quality childcare.
As Nursery Manager at Minnows Day Nursery, Adele is dedicated to creating a warm, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to grow in confidence and independence. Her passion for education, combined with her commitment to giving children the very best start in life, is reflected throughout the nursery each day.
Adele is also the setting’s Safeguarding Lead and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), ensuring all children are supported, protected, and given every opportunity to thrive.
