Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery

Our son has attended Nunthorpe nursery for 2 years since he was 9 months old. The staff are great and it feels like home from home. We know he gets the best care and also has lots of fun, and he has built up some great relationships with his key carers. A big plus for us is also the flexibility Nunthorpe nursery offers - we provide our dates month on month and have never had any problems booking in the dates we need - which we know you don’t get from other local nurseries.

Love this nursery! Both of my children have attended here and both have adored it! The staff are amazing, professional, friendly and welcoming and helped both my children settle in really well. I’ve never had any issues or concerns and always felt comfortable leaving my girls here knowing they are well looked after and having lots of fun!

I can't thank the staff enough for the support they have given both my son and myself. An amazing nursery and would highly recommend to anyone looking for childcare.

My daughter attended the nursery in October and in December through the school term holidays as the nursery runs a Holiday Club which is ideal for me as a full-time worker. My daughter enjoyed her time, she loved the food and entertainment she had throughout the week. Will be booking her again for summer break.

Absolutely fantastic nursery with brilliant staff. My son has been attending the nursery now for several months and he thoroughly enjoys it. The team are friendly, reassuring, supportive and approachable. The activities provided are excellent with many being tailored to assist my son’s development. My son has excelled and his confidence has grown since attending the nursery. We highly recommend.

My five year old girl attended holiday club and kept asking to go back! She particularly talks about certain staff members with fondness. We live out of the country and we’re only home for the summer and all staff made the children feel welcome.

The staff are lovely and truly care about each child. The team is well organised and this helps tremendously with my hectic life too, balancing everyone's timetables. This nursery is very considerate and understanding in every way.

My son has been attending the last few months - he was made to feel welcome by staff despite not attending since being a baby. He has enjoyed his days at nursery particularly playing in the outside play area. He has now left to start school in September and his time in nursery has helped prepare him emotionally and physically for school.

Excellent nursery, friendly warm staff, lots for the children to do and nice environment to leave your children.

Tapestry is excellent for seeing what your little one is up to and communicating with their key worker for learning. Also, she keeps me updated regularly and my girl loves looking at the pictures!

Would recommend Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery to everyone I know both my children have been here and my youngest 3 always has a fab time! The girls always go above and beyond for her and for me. Love the stay and play sessions offered too. Very warm, loving and educational place which I will be sad about when my youngest leaves in September.

This is a wonderful place, my daughter has been attending for over 6months now and her confidence has rocketed. I have the utmost confidence in the staff, I know that they offer her the support and care she needs. When I drop her off, her arms are straight out for a hug from any team member, she doesn't give me a second look now. I love tapestry and getting updates during the day. The nursery are focused on her development and I feel happy knowing she is in a safe supportive environment. I can't fault them.

My son started going to Nunthorpe nursery over 4 months ago, and although he wasn't sure at first, they've settled him in amazing. He loves going now and I love seeing how friendly the staff are with him, I have no worries at all when he's there. And they update me all the time on tapestry which is reassuring. Would recommend this nursery to anyone with a young child looking for care.

Nunthorpe Nursery is a warm and welcoming place and the staff are fantastic, they are kind and trustworthy. I’ve been kept up to date with my sons activities on his online diary but also every time I collect him I’m told what he’s been up to and an honest version of how he has been and whether he has eaten or slept. My son has been attending the nursery since May and his development with his speech and confidence since then has been incredible and down to the hard work the staff put into their teaching.

My daughter loves coming to nursery and meeting her little friends. The staff are fabulous and are always adding observations of her day which are really lovely to see. It's lovely to see her progress in the nursery and she's learning new things all the time. They do lots of fun activities which my daughter loves. She gets messy but we love it. A messy baby is a happy baby. She is always entertained and really well looked after. I couldn't recommend Nunthorpe nursery enough.

I can’t recommend highly enough!

Excellent friendly staff, supportive in all needs to parent and child. The environment is very child-friendly as you would expect, but there is a lot for the children to do, use, see and explore. Excellent teaching to get them ready for school. Lovely music and singing too. Overall cannot fault them.

(My only minor gripes are to do with the building itself. I find the corridors and doorways very difficult to access with a buggy, especially a double one! It would also be great if the outside space was bigger and not right next to the main road, but obviously, I accept that the nursery can't do much about either of these issues!)
