Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery

When we first walked into the nursery a few months ago, we got a warm welcome from the manager, who talked us through the nursery and showed us the space around. My daughter was comfortable on the very first day. The staff are excellent, and my daughter seems to be happy attending the nursery. Everyone around is so friendly and polite. We don't regret any bits. Just perfect.

Amazing nursery! My daughter has developed so much because of the constant interaction the staff have with the children. She is learning there and having fun and is always happy when I collect her at the end of the day. The nursery are very supportive, they give great feedback on how my daughter has been throughout the day informing me of everything that has happened. The staff are lovely, they are friendly, full of smiles and have a positive energy right from Monday until Friday every week.

They always put the children first and it is clear they are passionate about what they do. Drop-offs and pickups are extremely quick if you need them to be. Regular updates are sent weekly about the menus and activities for the children. Every week both are always amazing. The nursery provides healthy food for the children with a wide variety of things to try alongside multiple fun but educational activities for the development of the children. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

My daughter joined Nunthorpe Nursery almost one year ago and has absolutely loved her time here. She has grown in confidence and her development has come on leaps and bounds. The staff are very attentive to her needs and spend plenty of time with her encouraging her in her development. Thank you!

We are delighted with Nunthorpe Children’s Day Nursery, our son is very happy there. The staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They take the time to get to know the children as individuals and quickly work out their interests. The activities that are planned for the children are based around the interests of the children to target their next steps in development. We particularly love that the children are regularly taken out on visits like to the train station or the woods. We couldn’t ask for better!

My daughter looks forward to going to the nursery every day she attends, the smile on her face every time we pull up in the car is amazing. She has come on so much during her time at nursery and this is down to all the staff's one to one interaction with her. They go above and beyond to make sure my daughter is supported, has fun and feels loved. They are always willing to accommodate last-minute with extra days where there is space, which last week we needed due to work commitments. They just take that worry away from me and my wife due to their flexibility - we appreciate it very much - which means my daughter gets to play with her friends a bit more. Just one word for Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery: amazing!

Couldn’t recommend this nursery enough! Gone above and beyond for my son. They listened to my worries about his speech development and acted on them straight away. I always feel like I am leaving him in good hands and my son runs in on a morning without a glance back. They keep me posted with things he’s been up to and what he’s been eating, really happy with the service they provide. The staff are all lovely and very approachable. A great nursery!

Three of my grandchildren are in Nunthorp Children's Day Nursery. All 3 since toddler age, one has special needs. The staff are amazing. The children's happiness, personal development and love for their teachers speak for itself. Even through Covid, the rules and adjustments did not stop the commitment from the staff. I commend them for such excellent service, We know the staff love to have our children. Thank you Nunthorpe nursery, absolute quality.

Our daughter has been going to this wonderful nursery since October 2020, and she absolutely loves it! The staff are so friendly and have made such a difference to our daughter's progression. She is now so confident and her social skills are fantastic. We love the staff and everything about the nursery, highly recommend it to anyone!

However the staff, food and standard of care is amazing I just feel like the increase in price particularly over the last year makes it difficult for many families to afford to keep them in what is such a great nursery!

My son was very anxious when he started which made me doubt if it was the right thing to do to leave him there, but the staff especially his keyworker, went the extra mile to make him feel at ease, and now he loves going to nursery to see his keyworker and all the other staff and children. His confidence has improved over the past few weeks and he isn’t as nervous anymore when in contact with other children.

I have four children that have attended the nursery spanning over the last 19 years. I have a 19-year-old, 8-year-old, 5-year-old and 2-year-old. From being 9 months old the children went and my 2-year-old still goes now. My husband and I work full time so we are so delighted that we can leave our 2-year-old and not worry at all as we know he is in the best care. The staff go above and beyond always. The ethos in the nursery is incredible. The food is healthy and nutritious. The nursery has always been there for us even for special education needs for my 5-year-old who had hearing issues and they arranged for speech and language support. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. They always keep me informed on my little one’s day and they have become like an extended family over the years! The manager and her team deserve MBE’s for the amazing work they do, even supporting the local community. How wonderful this nursery is!

Lovely nursery with fab staff. They look after my child like he was their own. Brilliant pick up and drop off service for Nunthorpe primary too. We will be sad to leave as my child gets older. The children spend a lot of time outside.

They help me with advice on numerous things and I always find that I can phone and ask on how my little girl is doing or help with my little girls next stages!

How do I even start to explain how much this nursery means to our family and how I'll never come close to repaying them for the love, kindness, support and respect they have shown us. In short, over the last three and a half years every person at the nursery has become our good friends and like family. Our family has gone through some hard times with my middle child being diagnosed with Down syndrome and various medical issues. The nursery embraced our family and they have gone beyond the call of duty; they still do. With all my children they have taught and moulded them, allowing them to flourish and find their own unique special personalities; not letting my special needs baby's disability hinder him from enjoying life. They make sure they're always up to date with any new teaching techniques while finding new and unique ways to teach our kiddos; always taking our children's safety into their highest regards. You will not find a better nor safer learning environment than with the ladies at Nunthorpe. We love them.

My little boy loves this nursery, and he can't wait to start going a few more days a week. All the staff are so lovely and have been amazing for looking after my son through the pandemic whilst I'm at work. He has come on so well and loves telling me about his day.

Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery has been amazing. Since introducing our son only recently this year to the nursery, we were nervous about how he would adapt and feel with this new routine and the different faces he would meet. They have been brilliant at introducing their ways gradually so he has been able to build confidence and independence knowing he’s in a fun and safe place. The staff are lovely, friendly and have always let us know how each day has gone, so we know what he’s been up to. They keep us updated with amazing photos and videos of things he gets up to during the week, which is so lovely to see. We can’t wait to see how he develops and grows at this nursery, and we couldn’t recommend Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery enough!

Brilliant nursery. Both my children have loved going here. My daughter still does, she is always happy to go in and comes out beaming and tired out which is a great sign. They always get them outside to climb and play and even take them for little trips to the wooded area and dance studio nearby.

My daughter has attended Nunthorpe Children's Day Nursery for a number of years now and has absolutely loved it from day one. The whole team are fantastic and help and encourage her to learn new things whilst encouraging her to be independent.
