- They have a large free car park to support quick and safe drop off and collection for busy Parents and Carers. The car park is secure and fenced off to provide extra safety. There is a strict 5 MPH speed limit to keep the little ones safe.

Such an amazing nursery, with a friendly, caring and supportive staff team. There's excellent communication, a great range of activities to support development and really informative parents evenings. Such a lovely nursery, staff are incredibly caring, my daughter was quite shy when she first started at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery but has come out of her shell and loves to attend nursery, she always leaves with a smile on her face. She loves telling us what activities she has been doing and her friends she has played with. Our daughter's overall development has come on immensely. Chilton Meadows Day Nursey has been a great experience for our son. We feel like he has developed so much in only five months. Fantastic nursery. Staff are all amazing. My daughter was so clingy, cried when had to leave me, but staff were patient and caring not only towards my daughter but with me too. Felt at ease and comfortable leaving my daughter knowing she was safe and well cared for.

Fantastic nursery, they have plenty of things for the children to do, great activities to help children learn and develop and from my experience my child has learnt and developed even more since starting nursery as they have amazing and caring staff who help get children prepared for school. This nursery also has a beautiful garden for children to play in with plenty for them to do. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

Where to start? Such an amazing place filled with the best staff. My daughter cannot get ready quickly enough when she knows it's nursery day. Her clothes and smile tell the story of how much fun she has had. All staff are professional, enthusiastic and most importantly wear a smile. I cannot praise this place enough. I have two children who have already left the nursery and they regularly talk about how much fun they had when they went. My third child is halfway through her nursery adventure. I won't lie I will be sad when she leaves. Keep up the good/hard work everyone at Chilton Meadows Nursery.

My son loves nursery, always happy to be there, loves the staff that work with him. A fabulous nursery with lovely, friendly and welcoming staff. My son's key worker and management go the extra mile to help my son, who was recently diagnosed with autism. I couldn't ask for a better nursery or bunch of staff to work with him.

My son enjoys attending this nursery. The staff are very nice and welcoming. He has no speech yet, so I always enjoy receiving an update from staff on what he has enjoyed that day. The food also appears to be a big hit. Most days, he eats well and tries some new foods. The outdoor play area seems great.
A very good nursery with caring and very qualified staff. My son is enjoying being there and he's learnt a lot of new and interesting things.

Hello, my name is Joanne. I am a dedicated and highly qualified Nursery Manager and Safeguarding lead who has been part of the Chilton Meadows Day Nursery team since 2002. I am qualified in both Early Years and Leadership and Management.
I am Paediatric First Aid trained and I have experience in safeguarding children's welfare. My current role involves supporting the team, parents and carers to enable them to support the children to be happy, critical thinkers and reach their full protentional.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and upcycling furniture.
Hello, my name is David. I am a Nursery Director at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery. I am a qualified teacher and I also have a degree in Leadership and Management which I utilise to support the team of Managers at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery.
Experienced and qualified in Early Years Education, I also support the curriculum and ensure that the welfare requirements are adhered to at all times. I am a member of the Sunderland Schools Forum and represent the Private Voluntary and Independent sectors in the Early Years. I am also a Governor at a local primary school. I am able to use these links to support transitions for the children as they progress from nursery to key stage one.
In my free time, I enjoy DIY and travelling to new places and to Dublin to visit my family. I also enjoy volunteering at our local community group and spending time with my family.
Hello, my name is Rebecca. I am an Early Year Teacher at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery. I am a Paediatric First Aid trained, highly skilled, innovative and dedicated Early Years Teacher working with children aged three- to five-year-old in the Early Years Foundation Stage. I also lead the curriculum with the support of colleagues David and Joanne.
I am a very calm and friendly individual who takes time to get to know the individual needs of every child that I care for. I encourage children to learn naturally whilst also preparing the children for the transition to key stage one. I pride myself on my creativity and ensuring that all activities are both fun and educational.

I have Ba Hons in Journalism Studies; a PGCE Post Graduate Certificate in Education and am qualified at Level 5 in Leadership and Management. I am a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), I have over 20 years of experience working within Marketing and PR agencies and in-house for clients in a variety of sectors.
I have a love of writing and I am passionate about innovation, making a difference, and positive outcomes for all children.
Outside of work I love to combine my passions for education, writing, local history, photography and digital marketing. I love photography, reading and travelling to new places. Best of all I love being a Mammy to my two children, Liam and Eirinn, they loved spending time at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery when they were little.
