Members of the team are on hand to offer advice about the latest funding eligibility including nursery and pre-school offers including two, three and four year old funding such as 30 free hours.

- They have a large free car park to support quick and safe drop off and collection for busy Parents and Carers. The car park is secure and fenced off to provide extra safety. There is a strict 5 MPH speed limit to keep the little ones safe.

My child enjoys going to Chilton Meadows Nursery. The staff are very good at what they do and take really good care of my 2 year old boy. He has been going to the nursery from when he was 11 months old. It is like his second home. He always goes in happy and comes back happy.

Both my children come to this nursery and I can not fault the care or facilities. They have made such a difference to both their developments. My son has less than a year left here and it'll be so sad to see him go. The staff are amazing and treat the children as if they are their own.

The staff are amazing, always so caring and friendly with the children.
My little one loves coming home and telling me what they have been up to, whether it's hunting for bugs in the garden or creating art work. They get to know each child individually and learn their likes and dislikes and help to nurture their personality.
Children come on leaps and bounds at Chilton Meadows and I would highly recommend to anyone.

The inside setting itself is a very warm and welcoming place. It is always clean and tidy, providing a brilliant environment for the children to thrive in; their needs being the priority of the staff at all times. The staff are second to none, always professional and helpful. Each of them has been so welcoming and considerate which has made my child's and my experience extremely easy, comfortable, and relaxed from the very start. My son has been here for 3 years and I highly recommend, his speech/language has improved a huge amount as well as his ability to form friendships with other peers! The staff are friendly and keep you updated with your child's day to make you feel at ease as well as knowing what your child is learning at that moment! A very safe environment and welcoming staff .. as mentioned my son and I highly recommend if you are looking for a great nursery!

Chilton Meadows is such an amazing nursery and it was a shame that we had to move away. Hayden learned so much during his time here, including how to talk! My little girl has attended here since April 2023 and absolutely loves it. The girls are all amazing, her learning has come on leaps and bounds and she enjoys coming here so much. She also enjoys the food here and always eats well so a massive thank you to the kitchen staff also. I am beyond proud of her speaking and love that she enjoys story time so much and also sensory play, she struggled with textures of foods and things so her diet was limited due to this but sensory play has massively improved this and it’s all thanks to the nursery. She is the happiest little girl and I can’t thank all the staff enough, they all do an absolutely fantastic job!

My little one has been going to this nursery for a year now and honestly can say I'm pleased I chose Chilton Meadows. The staff are all lovely and caring, it's the same staff all the time not a high turnover of staff which is reassuring. Every time my little one finishes they come out with big smiles on their faces. Hello, my name is Joanne. I am a dedicated and highly qualified Nursery Manager and Safeguarding lead who has been part of the Chilton Meadows Day Nursery team since 2002. I am qualified in both Early Years and Leadership and Management.
I am Paediatric First Aid trained and I have experience in safeguarding children's welfare. My current role involves supporting the team, parents and carers to enable them to support the children to be happy, critical thinkers and reach their full protentional.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and upcycling furniture.
Hello, my name is David. I am a Nursery Director at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery. I am a qualified teacher and I also have a degree in Leadership and Management which I utilise to support the team of Managers at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery.
Experienced and qualified in Early Years Education, I also support the curriculum and ensure that the welfare requirements are adhered to at all times. I am a member of the Sunderland Schools Forum and represent the Private Voluntary and Independent sectors in the Early Years. I am also a Governor at a local primary school. I am able to use these links to support transitions for the children as they progress from nursery to key stage one.
In my free time, I enjoy DIY and travelling to new places and to Dublin to visit my family. I also enjoy volunteering at our local community group and spending time with my family.
Hello, my name is Rebecca. I am an Early Year Teacher at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery. I am a Paediatric First Aid trained, highly skilled, innovative and dedicated Early Years Teacher working with children aged three- to five-year-old in the Early Years Foundation Stage. I also lead the curriculum with the support of colleagues David and Joanne.
I am a very calm and friendly individual who takes time to get to know the individual needs of every child that I care for. I encourage children to learn naturally whilst also preparing the children for the transition to key stage one. I pride myself on my creativity and ensuring that all activities are both fun and educational.

With a passion for improving lives through education, I am proud that I have been part of the Chilton Meadows team since it was established in 2003.
I have Ba Hons in Journalism Studies; a PGCE Post Graduate Certificate in Education and am qualified at Level 5 in Leadership and Management. I am a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), I have over 20 years of experience working within Marketing and PR agencies and in-house for clients in a variety of sectors.
I have a love of writing and I am passionate about innovation, making a difference, and positive outcomes for all children.
Outside of work I love to combine my passions for education, writing, local history, photography and digital marketing. I love photography, reading and travelling to new places. Best of all I love being a Mammy to my two children, Liam and Eirinn, they loved spending time at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery when they were little.
