- They have a large free car park to support quick and safe drop off and collection for busy Parents and Carers. The car park is secure and fenced off to provide extra safety. There is a strict 5 MPH speed limit to keep the little ones safe.

The most gorgeous nursery with amazing staff, our little boys has loved every minute. From 1 year old he has always ran straight in and not wanted to leave. He was so comfortable straight away and the staff were always so kind to make us feel just as comfortable. Would definitely recommend this nursery and wishing them all the luck with the ongoing expansion. Which is being handled with so much care and consideration for the kids and parents. Our little boy's nursery has become such an important part of our lives. From the very beginning, the team have shown so much support, compassion, and genuine positivity. As a family without relatives nearby, having a place that feels like part of our "village" means the world to us.
What really stands out is how much the staff truly care about the children. They always put my child first and show real enthusiasm for him as an individual.
Our little boy absolutely loves going to nursery and gets excited when we drop him off. I genuinely trust the team so much and feel so grateful for the care they give him. The home cooked meals, the varied activities, sensory play and animal visits are amazing but the staff is what makes this place really special.
Overall, we feel incredibly lucky to have found such a caring, supportive nursery that genuinely puts children at the heart of everything they do.

My daughter started in January and absolutely loves going in. The staff have always been so friendly and accommodating to my daughter's needs and preferences. I can not fault the nursery or the staff and have recommended it to a few friends.

I was so nervous about my son settling but they have been so flexible and understanding and my son now loves it there.
They work around the child's needs rather than forcing a generic set of rules on all children and they cater to what each child needs to feel happy and safe.
I haven't spoken to one member of staff and had a negative experience and I can't speak more highly of Amy, my son's key worker. She has reassured us as a family with her dedication and positivity.
David and Vanessa have always welcomed check ins and phone calls when my son was settling, to help put my mind at ease. They go above and beyond. Once the facilities are expanded, this nursery will be even more lovely for families.
I would recommend this nursery to everyone without a doubt.

Chilton Meadows Nursery is not local to us but we are more than happy to travel out of our area to use this nursery as we love it so much.
My daughter started here at six months old and the care shown towards her has been amazing.
My daughter absolutely loves her nursery days as well as all the staff who contribute towards her care.
The staff always listen, are super fexible and have always catered to our needs as well as being so lovely, friendly and welcoming.

Our son has come on leaps and bounds. He is so much more confident and is always telling us about what he has learnt. He loves all of the staff and the toys at nursery. He is now even trying more food when he is at home. We can tell he genuinely loves coming to nursery.

Our son has really come on since starting here 6 months ago. His language, behaviour and playing have developed, and he's always so excited to come to nursery. The staff made a tricky adjustment to starting nursery easy and really helped him settle.

Sadly, we have finished our journey at Moorside as our youngest child begins Reception. Both of our children have nothing but positive memories from their time spent at Chilton.
From a parental perspective, I would like to take the time to praise the truly wonderful staff (both past and present) for their attentive, friendly and caring nature. It is really appreciated especially as a parent handing over your precious children. It was never in doubt that they were in very safe hands :)
Finally, a special thank you to the manager! What a superb manager! No request is too big and she has been so supportive and reassuring, when dealing with medical issues regarding my daughter.

Absolutely fantastic , couldn't fault this nursery at all. Very warm and welcoming and my son really enjoyed attending two afternoons a week. Really gutted to be leaving but as children grow so does their development and it's time to move to school nursery for new adventures. Hello, my name is Joanne. I am a dedicated and highly qualified Nursery Manager and Safeguarding lead who has been part of the Chilton Meadows Day Nursery team since 2002. I am qualified in both Early Years and Leadership and Management.
I am Paediatric First Aid trained and I have experience in safeguarding children's welfare. My current role involves supporting the team, parents and carers to enable them to support the children to be happy, critical thinkers and reach their full protentional.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and upcycling furniture.
Hello, my name is David. I am a Nursery Director at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery. I am a qualified teacher and I also have a degree in Leadership and Management which I utilise to support the team of Managers at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery.
Experienced and qualified in Early Years Education, I also support the curriculum and ensure that the welfare requirements are adhered to at all times. I am a member of the Sunderland Schools Forum and represent the Private Voluntary and Independent sectors in the Early Years. I am also a Governor at a local primary school. I am able to use these links to support transitions for the children as they progress from nursery to key stage one.
In my free time, I enjoy DIY and travelling to new places and to Dublin to visit my family. I also enjoy volunteering at our local community group and spending time with my family.
Hello, my name is Rebecca. I am an Early Year Teacher at Chilton Meadows Day Nursery. I am a Paediatric First Aid trained, highly skilled, innovative and dedicated Early Years Teacher working with children aged three- to five-year-old in the Early Years Foundation Stage. I also lead the curriculum with the support of colleagues David and Joanne.
I am a very calm and friendly individual who takes time to get to know the individual needs of every child that I care for. I encourage children to learn naturally whilst also preparing the children for the transition to key stage one. I pride myself on my creativity and ensuring that all activities are both fun and educational.

I am a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), I have over 20 years of experience working within Marketing and PR agencies and in-house for clients in a variety of sectors.
I have a love of writing and I am passionate about innovation, making a difference, and positive outcomes for all children.
Outside of work I love to combine my passions for education, writing, local history, photography and digital marketing. I love photography, reading and travelling to new places.
