Formerly known as Highfield Day Care, the nursery offers a caring, nurturing and secure environment for your child. Wrap-around care is available with neighbouring Highfield Primary School.

A highly qualified nursery staff team works with parents/carers to ensure that children achieve their full potential. Each child has a key worker who plans appropriate, fun activities tailored to the child’s interests and abilities. Well-equipped outdoor play areas provide further opportunities for learning through play.

As a Spring nursery, the setting aims to provide a springboard for healthy first steps and for children to find their feet.

Spring Highfield are phenomenal and I've had full confidence in them from day one. My daughter started at six months old and has absolutely flourished in the last 18+ months, with caring, engaged, outstanding staff. The setting itself is open and always feels welcoming, with lots of spaces to play and
explore.

We would thoroughly recommend Spring Nursery at Highfield. They have helped our one year old settle in so well and she always runs in happily each morning.
The staff are very knowledgeable and caring. They do varied and interesting activities with the children and find creative ways to help the children
learn. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

My daughter absolutely loves her time at nursery. I love catching her playing when I collect her and seeing how content she is when she is there.
The staff are lovely and always greet her with a cuddle which she sometimes needs first thing, the facilities are great and she loves time outside.
We
were worried when we first enrolled her after I returned to work but after a few weeks she settled in with no problems. She naps well, eats more than she does for us and is happy. The app is so helpful for hand over and the little updates are very reassuring. Would 100% recommend it.

Our daughter has been attending Spring Highfield for just over two years now and we are really happy with the level of care, commitment and interaction she receives here! The staff are lovely, especially the managers and are always available to address any concerns and alert us of any issues/concerns
they have. It was a big decision to choose a nursery for our daughter, but we have always felt happy with our decision and are delighted with her development thus far. Huge thank you to everyone at Spring, we really appreciate everything you do!

My son started at Spring when he was ten months old, he transitioned so well. All of the staff are excellent, so loving, caring and are really passionate about his development. He absolutely loves going to nursery and leaves happy. I’m so relieved that we found such an amazing place for our son to learn
through play and who are giving him the best start in a day care setting.

Spring Nursery Highfield has been the only nursery we have felt 100% comfortable leaving our daughter. We have a wonderful relationship with all the staff, which entails us trusting the management of the nursery fully. We are grateful for how kind, supportive and encouraging the staff are to us as a

This nursery is overall brilliant, especially in the settling-in process of my little girl, who started at the beginning of this month. The guidance and reassurance given to both myself and my little girl are second to none. The staff members are so patient and pleasant, and the rooms are filled with

Our daughter never had any fuss going to the nursery; she loved it, always happy to go and came out with a skip. The staff are so loving and friendly, and in no doubt, giving our babes the care we would give. I love how they have an app where we can see how they are getting on development-wise and photos
of their time. We are only thankful that our daughter has had the opportunity to become more herself through the planned play and support. She is a confident young babe ready to take on school nursery. Thanks again, highly recommend it!

My daughter has been at the nursery since 2017 and leaving for reception starting September 2021. The staff there have been really good with my daughter all-round, and with their dedication, she has grown in every aspect. I and my daughter have had a great experience with Spring nursery. All staff are lovely, friendly and so helpful, especially three ladies, which I was in contact with them more than other staff. My daughter started attending the nursery in the summer of 2020 after the initial lockdown in March, she has some delays in her development and also suspected ASD, she has made great progress with her development since she started at the nursery, she has made some friendships and always enjoys her days
there. My 11-year-old son also attended this nursery when he was little. The staff are lovely, and my daughter always comes home exhausted but full of chatter from her day of activities.

Lovely staff, my son has been going here since he was about 15 months. He always enjoys his time there and comes home very happy. Very accommodating for working parents.

The staff are absolutely fantastic. My son comes out of the nursery and tells me all about his day. He always comes out with a smile and says he's had fun. Staff have really brought him on leaps and bounds. I can't thank them enough. Will definitely be enrolling our second son in the near future.

My son started here when he had just turned 1, the staff in the baby room really took the time to help him settle. It didn't take him long to go in excited to see the staff and his friends and say "bye Mammy" The parent app the nursery uses is so lovely, I receive updates on his daily routine and pictures
and observations of what he is getting up to. I can share pictures too from home which is nice to share his experiences. In January he moved up into the Red Kite Room, the staff were really supportive in the transition. He loves all the different activities and opportunities he has and is always excited to tell me what he has been doing and his language has come on so much over the last few months. It's lovely that the staff care so much and share my joy in his achievements!

Choosing Spring Highfield Nursery was the best choice I have made for my son to date. After comparing three local nurseries, this particular one stood out for me. The atmosphere was calm and warm, the room he would be in and the play area outside were the biggest. The staff are all welcoming, friendly,
vigalant and genuinely care for your child. I was exceptionally impressed with their menu and the different variety and healthy meals (which he absolutely loves).
You receive feedback and observations which are delightful to read and to see the pictures of them learning, you feel so proud. I feel completely relaxed when my son is in the care of this nursery, I know he is safe and well. Leaving my son at any nursery made me feel anxious but with the support from great staff it was a smooth transition and my son really enjoys nursery. I am extremely likely to recommend to anyone. I thank all the staff at Spring Nursery Highfield for making this a happy and positive experience for myself and my son.

Hi, I am Sara, I have worked at Spring Highfield since 2004. I am committed to providing the very best start for the children in our care. Supporting them to develop and reach their full potential. This is done through a range of activities, resources and support/ care from our staff team


I have a level 3 SEN qualification and I enjoy working with children and families whose children have additional needs, supporting them with their child's learning ensuring they reach their full potential and have the right support in place for their transition to future settings or schools.


Recent OFSTED inspections rated the nursery as Good and we are continually striving to achieve outstanding.
My team are experienced, passionate and enthusiastic in what they do and works brilliantly with parents to ensure a fantastic learning environment for our children!
