Partou Safehands Day Nursery & Pre-school in Harrogate provides exceptional care and education for babies and children up to the age of five.

The nursery is set in a magnificent Edwardian Building within the Duchy area of the town. The nursery has excellent indoor and outdoor facilities, ensuring that all children have fun and enjoy their nursery day.

Children at the nursery enjoy a wide range of inspirational learning activities covering all aspects of the early years foundation stage, including communication, physical development, and expressive art and design.

Sandhands experienced team hold childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid certificates and safeguarding training. Every team member has an enhanced DBS check and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

The nursery provides delicious and healthy meals and snacks, providing children with a wonderful nutritionally balanced diet.

My daughter loves going to the nursery at Safehands. The manager and staff are fantastic and always try to ensure she has a fun day whiles also show great interest and enthusiasm in my child’s development.

Safehands is a wonderful nursery, and we have had a very positive experience - I can't rate it highly enough. Our daughter started in the baby room and has since graduated to the walker's room. She is very well cared for and greeted with a smile and a cuddle each morning. Our daughter has made a connection
with all of the staff, a testament to their personal and caring approach. They are very informative when I collect her, telling me all about her day, and it's clear our little girl is very settled and happy.

Safehands is a fantastic nursery. Both of my children have attended from 10-months, and my eldest is bowing nearing the end of her time in preschool. Throughout the last 3-years; they have been phenomenal with the care of my children and their development throughout the stages has been second to none.
They managed the testing times of the last year with amazing service. The communication is super. Really couldn’t recommend this setting more.

The manager and her team are fantastic. They do everything to make the children’s environment diverse and engaging whilst being totally supportive and caring through these fundamental years. We had numerous personal recommendations for Safehands, and though we did look at other nurseries for our son,
none had the same level of warmth and affection that makes it feel like a home from home. Our son enjoys every day at nursery, and we are so grateful to his key workers who give him such exceptional care and continue to keep us updated with his development.

I can't rate Safehands highly enough. My little boy has attended since he was one and, from the off, I had absolutely no doubt that he would be happy there.


The staff are second to none; caring, nurturing, friendly and always professional with big smiles on their faces. You can really tell that

the staff love their job and genuinely care for the children. The activities for children are really fun, creative, with key learning objectives in mind, and there is a great balance between outdoor and indoor play; the outdoor play areas are fantastic! The meal plan is healthy with a brilliant variety of dishes from all over the world!


The nursery itself has a real home from home feel, is always clean and bursting with wonderful toys, crafts and books!


The manager is superb; always professional, friendly and has been super responsive and helpful in relation to any queries that I have had. In short, I couldn't be happier with my son's childcare setting and, evidently, neither could he!

Both of my children have attended Safehands since they were 13-months-old. One is now at school, and my youngest is in the pre-school room, so we've attended since 2016. I have nothing but good things to say about the nursery. Both of my children have been extremely happy there and have thrived. Both
settled well, and any transition into the nursery or between rooms is handled really well.
The management of the nursery is excellent, and all of the staff members are amazing. I feel super confident leaving my children there knowing they are very well cared for. The staff know all of the children, irrespective of what room they're in and you can tell how much the kids love them all. I really trust the manager's recruitment judgement when new team members are needed.
The outside space for the older children is amazing, and they love to be outside each day for as long as possible.
It will be a sad day when my youngest has to leave to go to school!

Lovely staff, she has progressed leaps and bounds. Real attention to detail on progressing her social and speaking skills. Cannot recommend more highly enough.
They also have a wonderful outdoor space for the kids to explore within.

We can't recommend Safehands highly enough - it's a wonderful nursery. Our daughter started attending in July 2020 (at 10-months) and absolutely loves it! She beams as we walk to the front door every day and has formed a lovely bond with the staff. The staff are what make the nursery really special
- they are incredibly kind and caring, and it really does feel like a home from home. Lots of outdoor play and fun activities, crafts and messy play, plus the range of meals and quality of food is excellent (she eats better than us!). The manager and her team are really fantastic and go above and beyond. I couldn't imagine leaving my daughter anywhere else!

The whole team at Safehands are amazing. They plan lovely activities for the children, and my little one is always excited to be going in. It’s great that the chef interacts with the kids as it means they have a really healthy relationship with food.

As we moved to the UK just recently, and very new to the area (visited London many times but North Yorkshire is the first time) I was a bit hesitant to send my son to any nurseries keeping in mind the current pandemic.
But when I did the tour of Safehands, it was immediate relief and the good vibes
when there.
My son has settled so well, and I can see the difference in his attitude after being at home for 10-months (beginning of the pandemic).

My daughter has been attending Safehands since February 2020 and has settled in very well. The staff are great; they cater to the children's individual needs and do a variety of fun activities.
I can drop my daughter off knowing that she is happy, safe and being taken good care of.
The staff are
all very informative, so I know exactly what my daughter has been doing/eaten that day.
I would highly recommend Safehands.

Both my children attend Safehands full time. It really is another family for them; they can't wait to get in every day and see their friends and carers.

Our three-year-old son has been at Safehands for around 33 months now. The care, attention and education he gets is fantastic, he loves his nursery/preschool days. He is always kept busy and loves telling us about his days. Staff help you whenever you need it, nothing is too much trouble. We looked
at around five different childcare places before settling on Safehands, they were clearly the best when we were viewing and they continue to back that up. Covid-19 has been handled fantastically. I would recommend them highly.

Safehands feels like a genuinely safe environment for your child but what makes it is the staff. Fantastic caring people who generate strong bonds with the children. This isn't just a job for them but a vocation and they all care very much about the little people they look after. Flexibility is key
as a parent and Safehands adopts a reasonable policy around picking up and dropping off etc. The food has always been healthy and in abundance according to my child. The manager is a great leader and always open to a discussion if required. I'd thoroughly recommend the nursery.
