Busy Bees Harrogate Hornbeam Park was the first purpose-built addition to this growing range of day nurseries, constructed to a design that maximises space, light and freedom of movement.

From birth to preschool age, children enjoy extensive play resources and activities that will inspire their creative ability, together with the key skills they need to progress towards school.

Security and staffing is monitored at all times, an entry system is in place and play equipment has been designed to suit the highest safety standards.

My two and a half year old son has been cared for by the nursery since he was nine months old. Staff have always been incredibly caring and genuinely excited as he makes progression with walking/talking, etc. Each day his carer tells me an anecdote of the day, which makes us all giggle.
We chose the
nursery because it is purpose built, so feels much more spacious than others and there is step free safe and free access to outside areas. Activities vary from day to day, with crafting, singing, dancing, role play and outdoor play.
He loves it so much, some days, I have to pull him away from what he’s doing!

Following relatively recent changes to management, we have seen big improvements and couldn’t be happier.
I have children in the preschool class and toddler class - both are extremely happy and skip into their rooms every morning.
Good balance of free play and structured learning which is adapted
to the needs and likes of my children. Additional classes offered in French, music/dancing and football. Good varied menu. Large airy rooms and big outdoor space. Recent investment in renovation.
Dedicated staff on the whole who seem to genuinely care.

The manager and her team run a fantastic nursery with a very nurturing ethos. The children have lots of fun and opportunity to learn through play in the preschool ‘buzz’ room. The staff are great. Would recommend!

Since moving home our son has moved from one Busy Bees nursery to another. We were very happy with his original nursery and have not been disappointed by the new one. In fact, our son has settled in beautifully and this is thanks to the staff and management at nursery, we couldn't be happier with the
way the transition has been handled. The facilities are good, the rooms are clean and well organised, there is a focus on development and as a parent, I feel welcomed to raise any queries that I may have.

Lovely nursery with loads of space to play inside or outside! Really friendly staff who are always smiley and helpful.
Meal times are great, the food is of a very high standard. The kids always seem so happy and so am I with this nursery!!

My daughter has just turned 1 years old and attends the Tinies room each day she has settled in extremely well and the staff in this area are very knowledgeable and made it their business to know my daughter. She was assigned a key person who she appears to adore. She is joining in with rhymes by doing
the hand action which is clearly coming from the staff interactions with her.
The meals she is given are well balanced and she never leaves any so I assume she is enjoying them.
She has taken her 1st steps this week and the staff were as excited as I was which is lovely. I can't recommend this setting enough

Sienna started in Tinies 2 around April 2016. She has always attended two and a half days and settled in very quickly. Her recent move from Tweenies has gone well and she generally loves coming to nursery.

We would very much recommend the very early years care and have been really happy with having our children in the Tinies groups. The staff are honest (they say if the children have not had a good day), obviously know the children well, and treat each child as an individual. We have complete confidence
in handing over our children to them.


It may be a result of the changeover in ownership, but we have not had the same confidence in the later classes with multiple handovers of key workers, lack of communication (the nursery ended their policy of having uniforms for the older children, but since we were not told, ours still wore theirs for a month), no take home paintings or craft work between April and August this year, and the development book not being kept up to date. General communication could certainly be better, with things like sign up's to extra classes and photographs being made explicit to parents rather than relying on word of mouth.

My little girl has been coming to this nursery from February 2016. She is in the Tinies section and she is enjoying her time at the nursery and we are happy we chose this nursery for her. The staff are very nice.

The nursery has lots to offer and is of a great size. The staff are always friendly and very helpful morning and evening. The activities and quality of teaching are fantastic and we are so happy we chose Kindercare.

My child started KinderCare - Hornbeam Park in Christmas 2015 starting in Tweenies and has now moved up stairs to the pre-starter section. My daughter loves coming to nursery and asks every morning when she wakes up if she is going to school because she wants to go.

Brilliant atmosphere and lots going on throughout the day. My sister's child comes home from nursery tired out which shows how much fun goes on.

I joined part of the Busy Bees Family, in 2002. Working my way through the positions between Apprentice to Centre Director
I combine my professional qualifications with my own practical experience of raising three children. I feel a huge sense of pride contributing to the development and learning of children as individuals and supporting families in my care.
