Stepping Stones Day Nursery - Rothwell

Our Boy really enjoys stepping stones nursery. Really loves his key worker Hafsah which makes me feel at ease when I am at work. He always come home with loads of washing and that's how I know he had a blast with activities the plan out!

I would recommend the nursery to anyone.

It is an excellent setting and all the staff in baby room,pre -toddlers and the management team are first class.

We're so happy with Stepping Stones Nursery! He has settled in incredibly well, especially after a difficult experience with a previous childminder where he just didn't settle. The staff are warm, welcoming and clearly care about the children. He has access to a wide range of fun, stimulating activities and comes home smiling every day. One thing we really love is that there are no TVs - everything is hands-on and encourages real play and learning. The food is also fantastic - fresh, healthy and always a hit with him. We couldn't be more pleased!

The positive impact on our little girl has been impressive, and as a family, we couldn't be more happier. If you're a parent looking for a supportive, safe and warm welcoming environment for your little one, we definitely recommend the Stepping Stone Rothwell.

My little boy has recently started at Stepping Stones in the baby room. Throughout the process of settling in and his first sessions we have felt very supported by the staff, no question is too small for them. They have taken the time to get to know my son and although he hasn't been there long he enjoys nursery and has fun. I'm looking forward to seeing him grow and learn more there!

My twin boys moved to this nursery over a year ago. They were developmentally delayed and struggled to communicate verbally. Within months of starting at stepping stones they were able to speak small words and have only come on leaps and bounds since then. They are no longer delayed and fit in with every other 3 year old in their group. All of this is thanks to the time, love and care that all of the staff have taken to ensure that they thrive. All of the staff have a love and passion for looking after each individual child and that really shows day to day. I can't thank them enough for how easy they've made it to leave my boys in their care.

My little girl has recently joined stepping stones and absolutely loves it! She comes home telling me about her friends and the staff and what they got up to during the day. The kids get up to different things each day relevant to what's going on (Pancake Day, Chinese new years, valentines day) which I thinks fab. I would definitely recommend stepping stones:)

My little boy started at this nursery on 10/02/2025 and they have been nothing but helpful! Nothing is ever too much for them and the care and dedication they have to helping my little boy settle in is fantastic. They are thorough, kind and the staff here are also impeccable to catering to children's needs. They have helped my son settle in really well as he is an emotional child but they know exactly what to do to make him feel like it is a home from home environment. I feel at ease knowing he is at a nursery that deliver such high standard of care towards children, i could not recommend Stepping Stones Nursery enough.

Our son has settled in extremely well at Stepping Stones Day Nursery Rothwell and I feel the staff are very attentive to both our son's and our needs as parents. Choosing a nursery is always troubling as you want to make sure you are making the correct choice, but after a few months here, my wife and I both agree he has come on leaps and bounds. The staff in the baby room always give me a debrief on pickup and always ask how he's been overnight on drop-off. We highly recommend Stepping Stones!

The nursery has helped my daughter come on leaps and bounds! Since being at the nursery, she has started crawling and clapping her hands, which just as a parent, makes me so proud. The staff could not be any more helpful towards my daughter and I am thankful.

Great team. Both girls have settled in really well at their own pace. My child has become a lot more confident in her speech and loves to tell me what she's been up to all day. Both girls seem to be making new friends and are always up to something exciting and engaging.

Overall, the learning, playing and interaction with other children and staff is fantastic and I would highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

The flexible booking pattern on offer is a massive help for us as a family too.

From the moment I was shown around the nursery I knew I wanted my little girl to attend. She was around 10 months old when she started and is now a thriving little toddler. The nursery has brought her on so much and she is so confident and bright. The staff are all so lovely and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. I know how hard they work and it means the world to me knowing my daughter is loved there and well looked after. I placed my son in this nursery when he was 2. The staff really helped him come out of his shell in a matter of weeks. He is now 5 and is thriving at school. I also placed my daughter here in September 2024 because I was so impressed with how my son came along so quickly. The staff are all so kind and welcoming, we are always greeted with a smile, my daughter looks forward to nursery every week and has come along leaps and bounds.

My little boy has come on leaps and bounds with talking and understanding, especially since the pre-toddler room has been in use. He loves spending time outside in all weather, which we love that's an option.
