Partou Nursery Lane Day Nursery & Pre-School in Alwoodley, Leeds, provides high-quality care and education for babies and children up to the age of five.

The setting gives children an inspirational, supportive environment where they can play in an exciting outdoor area every day.

The Nursery's experienced childcare practitioners hold childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid certificates and safeguarding training. Every team member has enhanced DBS checks and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

The nursery team provides a range of exciting learning activities including ‘Enjoy a Ball’ and ‘Pyjama Drama’. Parents are kept up to date and involved with their children’s learning and development using the nursery’s online learning journal.

The chef at The Nursery on Nursery Lane prepares the nursery’s fresh and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks in the nursery kitchen, providing children with healthy and delicious homemade food every day. Because all of the nursery food is freshly prepared on-site, all recipes can be altered to suit any dietary or religious requirements.

15 and 30 hours of free childcare places are available for eligible families.

Both my sons attend this nursery, and they both adore it. They’ve built amazing bonds and friendships whilst attending the nursery, and they enjoy every minute that they’re there. It is always very clean, and they have a wide variety of food on the menu. Specifically, during the pandemic, they have
really helped teach my children the importance of hand hygiene. The staff are always friendly and approachable and go out of their way to make you and your children feel comfortable.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was 7-months-old and has had the most fantastic experience. The staff did an excellent job of settling her in and she's built up a great relationship with her key person in the baby room. We have always felt informed and confident that she's getting
a broad range of positive experiences to help her grow and socialise.


A great nursery with a varied food menu, friendly, approachable and supportive staff, and most importantly, a happy little girl who loves going!

Staff at the nursery are brilliant and quick to build strong bonds with the children in their care. My son previously attended a different nursery for over a year and didn’t take to the staff or setting, yet within a week of attending this nursery he was happy and settled. The nursery setting itself
is bright and clean, boasting a big garden area with lots to keep the children entertained. I would definitely recommend the nursery to others.

I felt very apprehensive at the thought of sending my son to nursery at a young age. After just a half-hour visit to the nursery, I felt like I would be able to put my trust in the staff to not only supervise him and keep him safe but to genuinely care for him and be attentive to him as an individual.
Every member of staff who I saw during the visit was engaged with the children, whether it be playing games with the older ones outside, or singing and patting a baby to sleep in a cot. Every child appeared to be happy and enjoying their environment. The nursery itself was spotless with beautiful wooden toys and a lovely outdoor area. The nursery manager took the time to answer all of my questions and had clearly used her experience to create an environment for the children with them at the centre of her focus.

The nursery is well led by an amazing manager. The team, work really well together. They have an excellent cook that will endeavour to create similar meals for those with dietary needs.
Staff get to know your child so well. They adapt to meet your child`s needs. This allows them to grow, learn and
develop so much.
The nursery setting itself allows your child to develop their imagination and creativity.
Without a doubt, I would highly recommend.
My grand-daughter loved her time at nursery. She had a little cry when she left, even though she is excited to go to school!

The nursery staff are friendly and helpful and happily accommodated my daughter in nursery for extra sessions at late notice when I had a family emergency. My daughter has developed a lovely relationship with the staff and is well looked after. Most of all she clearly enjoys her days there.

I cannot fault this nursery as my child is happy and well cared for. All staff seem to know all the children and it is a lovely environment for my child to learn in. Great nursery and great staff! The nursery’s been through some changes recently but the staff have worked hard to ensure this didn’t affect the kids. The newly refurbished nursery looks great and has a really nice feel to it.

Very early days with my little one attending but the staff are very friendly and welcoming and I can tell he is looked after very well by all! All the staff are very nice and would definitely recommend! They keep him entertained and I can already see a difference in his development!
They do visits
where you bring your child in and they can get familiar and settle in which is a big help they also learn a lot about your child’s like dislikes etc, which really helps with that home from home comforts and making the transition as smooth as possible for all!
Newly refurbished and it’s so clean and tidy inside it really is lovely! Also, CCTV there and entry system makes it very secure which is fabulous! 100% recommend!
