The Little Green Frog Day Nursery and Pre-school provides a safe, caring environment where each individual child can become independent, responsible and happy.

All experiences for young children are learning experiences so the highly trained team of dedicated practitioners are loving and thoughtful in their interactions, they are always teaching the children and in this natural and unpressured way the children are always learning.

My son started at the nursery at 10 months old and has formed the most amazing bond with all the staff. The difference in how sociable and confident he is since starting is incredible. The staff are always lovely and smiley and always make sure he’s comfortable and cared for on his off days, you can

My daughter started at Little Green Frog Day Nursery at seven months old when I returned to work. The staff were excellent at helping her settle with plenty of opportunities to spend time there before building up to a full day. They really supported her weaning and were even successful in getting her
to take a bottle! Now at 13 months, we have just had her first parent's evening which was informative and really showed the care bears detailed knowledge of my little girl. The learning opportunities have really helped her development and she loves playing outside which is great to see in photos on the app. She enjoys the meals prepared by the chef and her independence in eating and washing her hands has improved massively. I have been so impressed by the care shown by all staff and their commitment to improving the nursery.

Firstly, to say that we are so, so happy with our son's nursery experience. I have to admit it threw us a little bit as the Ofsted report came out a day or two before he was due to start but honestly we couldn’t be happier. I think the only feedback we would have, is as first-time parents when they
first start (and I’m just returning to full-time work) it would be helpful to have more updates in the app and more photos, even if just extra effort could be made for that first week or so as we know how busy you all are! Also, to note that obviously we’d rather have the staff being with him rather than updating an app, but in the early days it’s hard, especially when calling isn’t easy when working! In general, it's great to know what's happening, especially with sleep which we were quite worried about before he started. He absolutely loves his ‘care bear’ and we think she's fantastic, as are the other members of the team we deal with, everyone is so friendly and helpful and get him!

My daughter was born through Covid-19 Lockdown and struggled with interacting with people so I made the choice of placing her at nursery to help with interaction. I had looked around the nurseries but I heard so many good things about The Little Green Frog Day Nursery and I took the chance to give it
ago and I must say it’s the best choice I made! The staff are so friendly and helpful, constantly trying new things to get the children motivated in learning different things including making new friends. My daughter loves going she has lots of friends including the staff and doesn’t stop talking about them when she gets home. We have never had a problem at this nursery and would highly recommend to anyone who asks about it. They have routines in place which the kids enjoy and follow. She comes home each time saying or singing something new it’s great! Looking forward to seeing what else she learns this year. Thank you x

Cannot say I'm surprised by what I read in the Ofsted report regarding safeguarding and poor leadership and management but I was deeply disappointed. The key workers do their best and are absolutely lovely and my son had a great bond with one in particular before his recent move to his new nursery.
However, witnessing the running of his new nursery alongside my observations at Little Green Frog and the Ofsted report, it is clear intensive professional development is required to get this nursery to an acceptable standard.

Our experience with The Little Green Frog, has been an absolute pleasure! All staff go above and beyond and really make sure the setting is a home from home, meeting all developmental needs and most importantly to me as a mother, the emotional support, really connecting with the children, helping them
understand their feelings and who they are as a person. With detailed handovers, I got a full breakdown of my daughter's day, how much she ate and slept. I never left questioning what she got up to and how she was. My daughter loves princess dresses and received a princess book from Santa's visit to the nursery, which proves a lot of thought goes into even the littlest of things, in order to make the children smile. The care my daughter has received has been nothing but outstanding and I would recommend The Little Green Frog to anyone who is looking for childcare.

Our daughter started at Little Green Frog shortly after we moved to the area. We were a little worried about how she would find nursery on her own but the team at The Little Green Frog are amazing and immediately made her welcome and like family. They really supported and helped us prepare her for starting
school, always available for updates and feedback about what she had been up to that day when picking up. Incredibly friendly. The team do so much with the children. Activities and play have been chosen to help every stage of development and build confidence. I simply cannot recommend this nursery enough.

My child loves going to Little Green Frog and the staff in Raindrops are fantastic. He was born during Covid times and found the transition difficult at first, however, he often doesn’t want to leave now at pick up! Our daughter has been at Little Green Frog since she was 9 months old (she's now 2 years old)! We feel so confident in the nursery and our daughter loves it, so much so she doesn't want to leave at pick up! The nursery have supported her at every development stage and her confidence and speech has grown
so much. I love the fact they do a range of outdoor activities as well as messy play indoors. Fantastic nursery in Otley - I would highly recommend it.

We are so happy with how our daughter has developed since starting at the Little Green Frog when she was one. In terms of things like her language skills, her emotional development and how confident she is with problem-solving and imaginary play, she is building her skills so quickly thanks to all the
support she receives. The nursery management and the carebears are all fantastic, always available if you need them and always so welcoming. The nursery setting is also lovely, the children can look out and see animals in the fields around them but equally can watch planes taking off from the airport, there are so many opportunities for learning available. We would highly recommend it to all families locally.

My little boy is currently thriving at nursery, he absolutely loves going and I know he has such a good time when he’s there. His care bear is so caring and he has a really lovely bond with her. He always has lovely home cooked healthy meals and gets plenty of outdoor play.

My little boy has been going Little Green Frog for 18 months now and we couldn't be happier. The love and care provided by the whole team, and especially each child's carebear is outstanding as is their commitment to providing fun and engaging ways of learning. My sons social and academic development
had been amazing since he started and he literally runs in every morning with a big smile and doesn't look back. The ethos of learning through play is evident everywhere and the activities the team facilitate are fabulous as is the range of resources and toys there are to play with and learn through. I looked around other nurseries in the area but none had the same child-centred, relaxed, safe feeling that Little Green Frog Day Nursery did immediately. I also love that the whole team including the management and admin team know all the children which goes to show how involved everyone is in making it a welcoming environment for children, parents and carers.

My daughter has been attending the Little Green Frog for over a year now and we have been incredibly happy with the support and care given by the staff at the Nursery. The carebears have been wonderful and we have always felt comfortable dropping her off, knowing she is in very capable and attentive
hands. In the lead up to her moving to the Sunbeams room with the older children, the staff took time to gradually introduce her to the area and children so she felt comfortable when it was time to attend full time. They have excellent facilities and our daughter particularly loves and benefits from, the outdoor play area. We believe that the environment and experiences she has gained from the nursery have enhanced her development and I would highly recommend this nursery.

Fantastic nursery. Staff are all friendly, approachable and caring. The nursery is clean and well kept with plenty to keep children of all ages stimulated. My grandson has attended for the past 2 and a half years (since being 6-months-old), he has thrived and his development is outstanding. I can honestly
not praise the nursery or the staff enough. The meals provided are varied and seem to be well enjoyed. The nursery has been very helpful in meeting my grandson's dietary requirements.

My daughter recently started here as we moved to the area from Lincolnshire. She loved her old nursery and I was somewhat apprehensive about starting somewhere completely new. I quickly realised there was no need to be concerned, coming from a farm we are used to seeing animals and the nursery backs
on to sheep grazing! The staff are excellent with her, the perfect balance between comforting her and egging her on to be more independent. Her eating habits have improved, her home routine is being followed perfectly, like with her naps and she's getting valuable and precious interactions with other children! She also gets to play outside which is her favourite thing of all time. I cannot thank the staff enough for helping her to settle in so well. We will be coming here for many years to come.

Fantastic nursery!

My little boy attended The Little Green Frog Day Nursery for two and a half years until he went to school. From my first initial phone call to the nursery to enquire, I knew it was the right nursery for us as a family. I had concerns about how my son would settle in after a previously difficult experience
elsewhere. The owner was so generous with her time to talk to me and reassure me and come up with a great plan to settle my son into the nursery, based on his individual personality. Every member of staff I came into contact with at the nursery were so patient and caring. I was always very impressed with the communication among the staff and the feedback and support I received as a parent. I love that the nursery encourages the children to be really independent and take risks. The food is excellent and my son tries and eats lots of things that I'd never be able to get him to eat at home! I cannot wait for my daughter to start later on this year! I know she will love it.

My eldest son went to The Little Green Frog from being 10-months-old until he started reception in September 2020. He absolutely adored everything about the nursery. He was so confident starting school, and we knew that his time at nursery had put him on the front foot. He had such a lovely bond with
his care bears and all of the other staff and made such good friends. My youngest son started in January 2021, and despite being nervous about how everything would be in the middle of a pandemic, we have been so reassured by the manager and the team. He has settled in so well and loves nursery just as much as his big brother did. One of my favourite things about The Little Green Frog (and there are lots to choose from) is how much they encourage the children to be adventurous and inquisitive and how much time they spend exploring outdoors!

My son has been attending The Little Green Frog nursery since September. From the first step of the induction process, I knew it would be a good experience for him. I felt that the staff really cared about getting to know him and all the things he liked to do with us. They went to great effort to help
him feel at home. Now he has been attending nursery for a while we have found it lovely. Nothing is too much for the staff, and he is always greeted with a lovely, warm hello and welcomed in at every session. Even when he was unsure at first, they gently persevered with him until he was soon confident to be there. He loves the food and the activities and playing with the other children. As a family, we have felt the nursery to be supportive, friendly and to offer excellent care. Thank you to you all for everything you do.
