The Little Green Frog Day Nursery and Pre-school provides a safe, caring environment where each individual child can become independent, responsible and happy.

Cannot recommend Little Green Frog highly enough. I recently got my daughter's observations, drawings and progress charts from the last year. It's just amazing how much she has come on and I have no doubt LGF have played a massive role in that.
Everyone is friendly, professional, caring and very accommodating.
This nursery was the best possible setting for my little girl. She's now into her last year there and I'm confident she will very ready for school (not sure I will be though!).

My son spent 2 years at The Little Green Frogs and absolutely loved it. The staff were so caring and supportive. He is a shy child but his confidence and social skills improved massively. He came out beaming and happy at the end of each day. Highly recommend this nursery.

My son has attended The Little Green Frog for almost three years now (full time for the past year) and is about to leave to start primary school. I cannot speak highly enough of the care he has received at LGF. The staff are amazing. From day one, it was clear that they are not only great professionals
but that they genuinely care for the children and will go out of their way to make their time at nursery a happy one. My son has learnt so much while he has been there, without realising it - their learning through play approach really brings out the best in little ones. He has grown in confidence, developed his social skills and is very well prepared for primary school but most importantly will be leaving with happy memories of a lot of time spent outside, climbing, jumping, laughing and making friends. We were very lucky to find such a lovely nursery in Otley.

A lovely nursery, my daughter has thrived here. She goes to school soon which is very exciting but will be sad to leave nursery. The staff are amazing and the whole place has a lovely welcoming family feel.

We’ve no reservations that we’ve done the right thing choosing Little Green Frog.
I feel completely involved with my son’s day to day (diary, activity board, parents meetings, photo updates, folder) however the best update is always from his ‘care bear’ at pick up. They notice the smallest things,
taking great effort to communicate exactly what you need to know. The joy and care in my son’s development and wellbeing is exceptional. We regularly see new behaviours and manners learnt at nursery, it’s a joy.
The staff are not only dedicated, skilled and knowledgeable but they are thoroughly nice people. I’ve asked some daft questions and done some daft things, but I’ve always been met with the same non-judgemental, caring support. The communication between the team is phenomenal. We see the owner and manager almost daily, they are extremely approachable and engaged.
Our son is happy, confident, curious and sociable. We both feel Little Green Frog is a big part of this. We definitely recommend this nursery.

My son had a wonderful time at The Little Green Frog and was always excited to go to nursery. The staff were keen to encourage his natural curiosity and enthusiasm and provided a variety of interesting activities and enjoyable learning opportunities. I feel that the care, support and warm environment

My son has recently just started at this nursery and he loves it. I have always struggled to leave him in the past as he has got upset but when I take him to Little Green Frog, he runs off to play.
My son is deaf and wears cochlear implants, the staff have gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable
and help my son grow in confidence with his communication, they have also welcomed and training that the NHS has given and are eager to become as knowledgeable as they can about my son's additional needs so they can help him in every area of his development.

My son started at The Little Green Frog in January 2018. I was unsure when he started if it was the best thing to do for him. I was very very wrong. He loves it. The staff have been wonderful and you can see how much my son likes them all.
The changes I have seen at home have been lovely. He's more
confident and a lot happier, it's really nice to see.
I will definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a nursery for their child.

My daughter has been going to nursery for just under a year now and is loving every minute. She wants to go every day. The staff are friendly and do there best to help both children and parents feel happy. I am looking forward to sending my youngest in the not too distant future. Highly recommended.

Superb care for both my children, the eldest of which has just transitioned to primary school. I can not thank the staff enough for their high standards and the support provided over the last 18months.


The environment has fostered such a creative streak in my eldest (not evidenced in the rest

of our family!) and helped her become less risk averse through structured activities such as using a hammer and nails and also free play e.g. on the climbing tyres in the garden. She has become much more confident as a result.


My youngest loves the outside and the use of singing and other sensory activities, it is often hard to convince her to come home at the end of the day.


Two very different children with all their needs met and development well supported, has given me the reassurance that as a working Mum, they are thriving more here than they would be if they had been solely in my care. Keep up the good work Little Green Frog!

My niece has been attending The Little Green Frog for six months now and she is so settled and happy. She has strong relationships with staff and children and is always engaged in exciting, stimulating activities.
There is a strong family feel to the nursery, and the setting itself is beautiful -
views of the Chevin are breathtaking. The staff are always in high spirits and all have such a kind and caring nature.

The Little Green Frog is an excellent nursery. My children have just recently left to start primary school and they didn't want to leave they enjoyed it so much.

There are lots of big open spaces both inside and out with a whole variety of different activities. I loved listening to what my children
had done each day as it was always different and exciting.


All of the staff are amazing. They all genuinely care about every child and the interaction between them is excellent. Communication is fantastic. At the end of the day, I received information about what they had done, eaten and any other relevant information. My children loved every member of staff there and miss them very much.


A fantastic nursery which has helped my children in every area of development and I cannot recommend highly enough.

Our daughter started at Little Green Frog in October 2015 and we can honestly say we have been so impressed. She has just started at primary school and we know she was well prepared for this by staff. All the staff are fantastic- they genuinely do care about the children. Our daughter was quite attached
to some of the staff and children there and she will miss it!
We found the staff very friendly and approachable and they kept us well informed and up to date. The nursery itself offers lots for little ones to keep occupied and start their learning journey.
We would recommend to anyone!

Our little boy started in August and he loves it, his speech/language has become incredible in the few months since he started. His eating habits and sleeping habits have improved massively. It's lovely to hear him talking about his friends and he thoroughly enjoys all the different activities, especially
playing in the lovely outside area. All the staff are wonderful and extremely helpful and the nursery itself is well equipped and a friendly place to be. We would definitely recommend this lovely nursery.

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. Our little girl has thrived since attending and loves the nursery workers who give her lots of one to one attention and develop each child's individual personality. I love hearing the stories about her day and how she is being encouraged and education.
The ethos of the nursery is about treating every child as the individual they are which they definitely do. The standard is such that even on maternity I have kept our little girl in because of the quality of care she receives.

My son was made to feel most welcome when he started at The Little Green Frog. The transition into the centre is well organised and thoughtful. The staff are warm and friendly and show a genuine passion for his care. I leave him there as I go to work, and I don't worry about him all day as I know he
is well loved, and that he is learning and having fun. He has even cried when it was time to leave as he did not want to go!! Additionally, I have been impressed by the security. The front door is manned such that folks cannot get in unless they are let in by a member of staff. Recently another family member went to pick up my son, and the staff member at the front desk would not let him in until she had verified with someone else that he was indeed who he said he was, and that my son knew him. I am very glad to know my son is safe, as well as looked after.

My son has been going to this nursery for 10 months now and we have been impressed from the start. All the staff are brilliant with the kids and have a genuine care for every child, its great hearing all the great things your child has been up to throughout the day they're always doing something different.
When my son first started he was a bit behind with his speech and usually preferred his own company but in the short time he's been at LGF his speech has come on leaps and bounds and he's made friends that he looks forward to seeing.
They have recently had chicks hatch and they take trips to the garden centre to see the fish which my son loves! They have the kids play outside a lot as well which is perfect for my little boy they have a great outdoor area were you can also see the animals from the farms.
I would really recommend this nursery the change in my son since starting is amazing and we're looking forward to our youngest son starting in September.

My son loves going to nursery and the staff are all very accommodating when it comes to sleep, food and potty training etc. They follow your child's lead which I love.


Another thing I really like is the fact that they have embraced my sons bilingualism and now know a few words in Swedish themselves.

Both my children love Green Frog. The eldest has fond memories as she thrived from being a baby until school age. The youngest is loving her time there now. The semi-rural setting is beautiful; a great backdrop for the lovely outdoors play area which is used as much as possible. It's also lovely for
the children to be able to go for walks in the fields and to the riverside. Being situated next door to a thriving primary school is a bonus as it gives young ones a real taste of what lies ahead. The staff care, a lot and spend quality time getting to know the children. There's a good mix of older and younger members and it's great to have a mix of male and female staff. The different rooms cater well for different ages and needs and there's always lots to do and space for quiet time too. The food is tasty and fresh and a few recipes have even made it home! Green Frog is a very nurturing environment and over the last six years it has raised the bar; actively striving to become an even better childcare provider with children's welfare at the heart of what it does.
