The Little Green Frog Day Nursery

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. Our little girl has thrived since attending and loves the nursery workers who give her lots of one to one attention and develop each child's individual personality. I love hearing the stories about her day and how she is being encouraged and education. The ethos of the nursery is about treating every child as the individual they are which they definitely do. The standard is such that even on maternity I have kept our little girl in because of the quality of care she receives.

My son was made to feel most welcome when he started at The Little Green Frog. The transition into the centre is well organised and thoughtful. The staff are warm and friendly and show a genuine passion for his care. I leave him there as I go to work, and I don't worry about him all day as I know he is well loved, and that he is learning and having fun. He has even cried when it was time to leave as he did not want to go!! Additionally, I have been impressed by the security. The front door is manned such that folks cannot get in unless they are let in by a member of staff. Recently another family member went to pick up my son, and the staff member at the front desk would not let him in until she had verified with someone else that he was indeed who he said he was, and that my son knew him. I am very glad to know my son is safe, as well as looked after.

I would really recommend this nursery the change in my son since starting is amazing and we're looking forward to our youngest son starting in September.

My son loves going to nursery and the staff are all very accommodating when it comes to sleep, food and potty training etc. They follow your child's lead which I love.

Another thing I really like is the fact that they have embraced my sons bilingualism and now know a few words in Swedish themselves.

Both my children love Green Frog. The eldest has fond memories as she thrived from being a baby until school age. The youngest is loving her time there now. The semi-rural setting is beautiful; a great backdrop for the lovely outdoors play area which is used as much as possible. It's also lovely for the children to be able to go for walks in the fields and to the riverside. Being situated next door to a thriving primary school is a bonus as it gives young ones a real taste of what lies ahead. The staff care, a lot and spend quality time getting to know the children. There's a good mix of older and younger members and it's great to have a mix of male and female staff. The different rooms cater well for different ages and needs and there's always lots to do and space for quiet time too. The food is tasty and fresh and a few recipes have even made it home! Green Frog is a very nurturing environment and over the last six years it has raised the bar; actively striving to become an even better childcare provider with children's welfare at the heart of what it does.

Both of my sons joined little green frog this time last year, and will stay there until they start school as we are so pleased with the care they receive. The staff are all so loving and caring, and my children are really happy there. They have had some lovely things going on this year such as incubating eggs and watching them hatch, and watching tadpoles develop into frogs. I highly recommend this nursery and all of the staff.

Having used another nursery in Leeds for our older child I have been able to directly compare LGF against the one we were using. LGF is vastly superior. It feels very well run and the staff appear very engaged and experienced. I would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery.

Both my 3 year old daughter and 14 month old son attend Little Green Frog Nursery. They have both built strong relationships with the staff who are very caring. The inside and outside space is set out well with lots of different areas to explore. Recently my daughter went for a walk with the other older children around the surrounding fields where they were able to meet and chat with a sheep farmer, she also found leaves and berries which she made into a picture. My son quite often has trips to the local park to feed the ducks (a very favourite pastime of his). The food is all cooked on site using local produce, which my children seem to love. I would be very happy to recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been attending LGF for over a year, and really enjoys going to the extend she calls it her nursery. She has had the opportunity of growing not just in strength, language skill, knowledge, but also to grow plants from seed. She gets encouraged in all that she does. Gets plenty of chance to play outside when the weather is good to performing in small concerts. They even get encouraged to be part of the local towns carnival (unfortunately my daughter wasn't one of them this year). I would recommend the nursery and speak highly of them.

We have been connected with this wonderful nursery since 2010, and both my daughters have really enjoyed their time here. They have formed strong bonds with the wonderful, caring staff and I have always felt they are well looked after. The children are learning through play in the most wonderful settings, surrounded by the countryside and walking distance to the park. As a parent I feel well informed of how my child is doing at nursery, and there are events through the year which includes us parents, such as Christmas dinner, Otley carnival and summer BBQ. I would definitely recommend The Little Green Frog to anyone looking for childcare.

My son has been attending LGF for over a year. I am completely satisfied with the care he receives. He obviously enjoys himself and he loves the staff who care for him. The meals are varied and he eats well- and was helped to eat until he could manage it himself. Every day I am fully informed about what he's been doing, playing with, eating etc by staff who genuinely care for him and enjoy seeing his development. The supported play is appropriate for his age and is helping his development. He loves playing with the other children inside and outside and loves it when they go to other places- walks in the countryside or to the park.

My daughter attended this nursery for almost 4 years when it first opened 10 years ago and some of the staff are the same as when she was there which I think is great for continuation and shows that the staff are happy in their roles.

I know that my son is being well cared for and is safe and happy and stimulated and can't wait to get to nursery on the days he attends.What more can you ask for from a nursery.

I have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to anyone looking for somewhere excellent to care for their child.
