I rate this nursery very highly from the friendliness of the staff to the layout/rooms and the way they teach and children. My little girl has attended this nursery for three years and has come on leaps and bounds during her time in the Academy. Would recommend this nursery to anyone looking for local
friendly nursery.

Really pleased with the nursery, on a whole the nursery and its staff are like a second family to out daughter. There are a number of initiatives [Play Days, Themed Events] that will really enjoy getting involved in. We would highly recommend The Academy to any parent in the area.

I am so pleased that we chose The Academy for our son's care. He LOVES going to nursery and he is developing brilliantly under the care of the toddler room staff.
The staff really care about the children. They make efforts to plan for my son's likes and dislikes and his personal needs, and I feel
that they really KNOW him. It is obvious, when he is talking at home, that he loves the staff and feels happy and comfortable at the Academy.
The manager has an excellent view of the nursery and 'runs a tight ship' whilst being friendly and approachable to the parents.
I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

My baby started in January 2016 and has settled in really well. All staff make a real effort to make my baby feel at home. He now looks forward to going, without crying, when I leave him which is a relief as a parent.

I often recommend this nursery to family and friends. I'm so impressed with the fun learning and care my daughter receives and the kind, hard working, committed staff who always keep parents well informed and keep children safe and give them a varied, rich education. Today I joined pre-school on a trip
to celebrate Chinese New Year! We went on a bus to the library where we read Chinese fact books - the children were challenged to find some Chinese writing. The children then shared a Chinese story book, encouraged to tell the story using the pictures as a prompt. They then looked at and touched a Chinese dress. We then went to a Chinese restaurant where we were greeted by Chinese waiters and waitresses who taught the children how to say "Happy New Year" in Chinese. We then had a delicious Chinese meal consisting of prawn crackers, sesame toast, Mongolian Chicken, egg fried rice, mussels and jelly for pudding! Each child was then presented with their name handwritten in Chinese characters and a fortune cookie to take home. A fantastic, cultural introduction to pre-school children about China. Thank you again The Academy @ Almondbury!

My son now attends The Academy 5 days a week. He recently went up to Pre-School and he's come on leaps and bounds. His language and letters have improved greatly and I strongly believe in the curriculum and dedication of the manager and staff at this nursery. The nursery gives plenty of opportunity
to see the children in their daily environment through performances and other events, which I participate in at every opportunity.

In short, I feel confident that I'm giving my son the best opportunity to develop and get a head start ahead of starting school.

Most importantly, he enjoys his time at nursery and has made lots of friends.

My son has really settled in well, all staff are friendly and happy to help in anyway. The menu is really good and everything is made fresh, the nursery is not overly big which is great as not too many children.

My little boy has been attending this nursery since September and absolutely loves it. During his first few months I queried something and the nursery and management were extremely efficient and thorough in getting back to me and ensuring my child's happiness. His key worker is wonderful, and he has
a lovely relationship with her, something which puts me at ease when leaving him in the nursery's care 3 days a week. The food is homemade and I am regularly told that he finishes all his food, something which he doesn't do at home! I am moving house in the coming months 5 miles away but I will still be taking my child here until he is old enough to leave.

My daughter is very happy and content at the nursery, she enjoys going to nursery and loves the staff, I have no negative comments to make. She eats a healthy diet and never complains that she is unhappy or upset. The staff deal with my enquiries promptly and resolve any concerns I may have. I go
to work knowing that my child is in good care and happy which makes my working day easier. Thank you.

My son has been attending the nursery since October, he recently attended another nursery. I currently work for this nursery and as parent I was concerned about how he would settle and if I was making the right decision for my son and I. However I can honestly say that all the staff have been fantastic
in settling him in and ensuring they treated me as a parent with regards to my son. They have supported me with any concerns I have had about his development. Throughout the nursery the staff are friendly and have quickly got to know my son and his interest for diggers. With this in mind they use his interests to further his development and I can honestly say I have seen a massive improvement in his speech and social skills. As soon as we walk through the door he is quick to be away from me and doesn't look back throughout the day which as a parent and worker has made my life easier.

My son has been attending the nursery since April 2015, he immediately settled in and really enjoys going. All the staff are amazing and so friendly. They do a lot of activities and my son learns something new everyday that he goes. I can honestly say the food that they are given is brilliant, it's
proper home cooked food and incorporates a very healthy diet. I would recommended this nursery to any parent.

My 7 month old daughter started with The Academy in Oct 2015 and settled in straight away. All the staff I have come into contact with are friendly and welcoming and she is excited to see them every morning.
The staff give me a detailed hand over on collection explaining what my daughter has done
throughout the day. The manager is also very approachable and very friendly and you see her most mornings on drop off which I feel is very important. I have used other nurseries in the past with my oldest daughter (aged 10) but The Academy by far is the nursery I can see my child staying with until she reaches school age.

The Academy at Almondbury is an outstanding nursery, my 2 year old son began attending for 2 mornings a week in April 2015 and immediately loved the nursery from his first day. So much so that after the first term he now attends 3 days a week. The staff are amazing, every member of the nursery staff
get to know you and your child so well. Both the indoor and outdoor facilities, toys, learning zones are all excellent. My son has come on so much in all aspects of his development, just to name a few, his confidence, social skills, speech, numbers, shapes, independent feeding, toilet training, I could go on all day. Each child has there own school diary so you get a daily report of what your child has eaten, what they have done with their day, the communication between the nursery and parents is excellent. Before attending The Academy as a mother I thought leaving my son would be the most terrifying thing ever but from the first visit I have never had that feeling once, both myself and my son are excited every day to get to nursery and to learn of what he has got up to that day. I couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough, it really is outstanding.

This is a fantastic nursery in every aspect. My child loves attending here and has grown in confidence. The learning and play is high and the staff have excellent interactions with her and clearly care about every child in their nursery. The nursery is very secure and I feel is very safe for her while
I'm at work. They have a lovely outdoor area, which they use as much as they can and my daughter loves helping to look after the rabbit. All the staff are lovely, polite and helpful. Highly recommend.

My granddaughter has attended this nursery since she was 1 and is now nearly 4, she has come on loads and has loads of confidence now. I am very happy that she attends this nursery and I love to watch her in shows that they put on throughout the year. The staff are lovely and helpful, it is a clean
and well managed nursery with various resources for the children to learn through play. I feel my granddaughter is well looked after and safe here. I would highly recommend this nursery.

This is a fantastic nursery. All the staff are very polite and helpful and they interact extremely well with the children. My daughter has come along far since she has attended this nursery and her confidence has come on leaps and bounds. She always has loads to tell me when I pick her up and clearly
enjoy herself while she is learning through play. They have made the outdoor area even better by adding a mud kitchen. I feel it is a safe and well managed nursery and I would definitely recommend taking your child there.
