Partou Woodlands House Day Nursery & Pre-school provides exceptional care and education for babies and children up to the age of 5 in Idle, Bradford.

The nursery provides children with a fun, supportive learning environment where they can play in a secure outdoor area every day. Children enjoy a wide range of learning activities from Forest School sessions and dance, to numeracy, ICT and literacy. Parents stay up to date and involved with their children’s learning adventures using the nursery’s own online learning journal.

Woodlands House’s team are experienced and hold childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid certificates and safeguarding training. Every team member has enhanced DBS checks and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

The chef at Woodlands House prepares the nursery’s fresh and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks in the nursery kitchen, providing children with healthy and delicious homemade food every day. The nursery’s seasonal menu is prepared with quality, locally sourced ingredients and can be altered to meet any special dietary requirements.

Meals and snacks are included in the nursery’s fees, as well as nappies, wipes and sun cream. 15 and 30 Hours Free Childcare places are available for eligible families.

Both myself and my wife are involved in the Education sector and we know how important it is to select the correct nursery for early development. This is our second child who has attended the nursery and we would highly recommend the nursery to all our friends and colleagues. The attention to detail,
daily communication and observations give a fantastic insight into the daily routine and development of our child. The staff are all very knowledgable and approachable, the care they provide is first class. The range of activities, resources available, food offered, safeguarding and cleanliness of the nursery is excellent. The staff team do an amazing job and I would highly recommend this nursery to all families.

My son is now in preschool and as with toddlers and babies, he very much enjoys attending. The practitioners provide an amazing, stimulating and educating environment. My son enjoys a wonderful variety of meals, all freshly made by the fabulous cook. Even through the pandemic, the nursery have been
able to adapt and provide safe practices with minimal impact to the children. I can't speak highly enough of the support, care and standards at this nursery and would recommend it to all.

The staff at Woodlands House are fantastic, my little girl absolutely adores going to nursery. I am a shift worker and Woodlands House are amazing at making sure my daughter can go on the days I need her to, these are not always the same days every week. Not many nurseries are this flexible.

My daughter started in December 2020 and I couldn’t be happier with the service, staff and how excited my child is to go to nursery. The girls that work in her room are amazing and so enthusiastic about their jobs. My daughter knows them all by name and has come on leaps and bounds since she started
here. I would definitely recommend this nursery, it’s amazing and outstanding. Also, I would like to say, all the other staff around the nursery are also very helpful and friendly. The nursery manager is the nicest, most helpful and kindest person too. Thank you for everything you do for my daughter.

My daughter has been at Woodlands House for just over a year. She started in the babies room and towards the end of last year, moved up to the toddler room. Woodlands House is a wonderful nursery where the team are so caring and creative in what they do with the children. Throughout the pandemic (which
must have been a very difficult and uncertain time for the staff), they have remained calm and always so welcoming and friendly when the children arrive which instantly puts you at ease. They regularly communicate with us through emails and newsletters and plan great themed play around special occasions and days (e.g. more recently Australia day). During the lockdown, it was my daughter's birthday and she couldn't see family or friends and so they threw a party for her at nursery. It's all these things which make it such a special place and the people who work there wonderful. The team always take an interest in what the children are interested in and plan things around these interests.

My daughter settled immediately into Woodlands House, despite this being the first time away from us due to lockdown. The staff in the baby room are wonderful and give her lots of lovely experiences. She's built a lovely relationship with her keyworker but is happy to be handed over to all of the members
of staff when I drop her off. The daily communication is great and we can see what she has been doing through her online learning journey and on their Facebook page. Having previously been a deputy manager in another nursery, the homely atmosphere and happy children we saw when we first looked around put me at ease and gave me confidence that this was the right place for my daughter. I would have no hesitations in recommending Woodlands House.

I would highly recommend Woodlands House to any parent. Both, staff and setting are amazing, my little boy loves every day there since he started attending at 8 months old. Woodslands is a great nursery, and my daughter has settled in perfectly. The staff are very accommodating and my daughter has lots of friends and looks forward to going every morning. All the staff are very helpful and kind and take care of my daughter very well. There are always lots of activities

Woodlands House is an amazing nursery. All the staff or so welcoming and caring. My son started when he was two and he was such a shy little boy, now nearly four, he has really come out of his shell and is so much more confident and that's to do with the staff making him feel so welcome and putting
the time/effort in with him. He loves going every day now.
I wouldn't want him anywhere else, amazing nursery and amazing staff.

Woodlands is a great nursery.
The staff are always really friendly and I always feel that when I drop my daughter off in the morning she is in the best hands.
She loves going there and has really settled in well.
She is the third of our children to go to Woodlands, which says all you need to know
about how happy we are with the nursery.
When our other children moved onto Primary School they found it easy to fit in with their classmates and the curriculum, as they had learnt so much from being at nursery.

Excellent setting throughout. All the staff are professional, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to make sure the children are cared for incredibly well. It is lead by a strong, approachable manager, who is always available and knows what is happening at all times in the nursery.
Our child loves going to nursery, and is very content and happy to go, this is all due to the excellent facilities and care offered at Woodlands House. Having 20 years of nursery background and having worked in and looked at many nurseries, I can honestly say this is one of the best nurseries around and would certainly recommend it to everyone, go take a look for yourself, and hopefully, you’ll be as impressed as I am.

My son is currently attending Woodlands House and he absolutely loves it.
All of the staff are fantastic with the children in regards to their development, he really enjoys the food that is provided and although fortunately, I have never been part of any safeguarding issues, their policy is second
to none. They provide a caring but professional service through the stages of the nursery.
All 3 of my children have attended this nursery over the past 11 years and when my son leaves in August it will be sad to leave the nursery behind. I'm thankful for them to have been part of all my children's journey, helping to give them a positive start to their life.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2008

ABOUT ME:
I started at Woodlands House in 2008, aged 16 years old, as an apprentice where I have worked my way up whilst gaining qualifications in childcare.


In my previous position as deputy manager, I regularly stepped up to the position of acting manager whilst also assuming the position at other Just Childcare settings. I pride myself in being a go-to person for support and have used my experience to support various managers throughout recent years.

WHY CHILDCARE?
My mum used to be a childminder which means I have always been around children since a very young age. What’s more, my older sister worked in a nursery where I would often help during school holidays.


I love seeing children develop and have fun. Being able to watch the children grow into the little characters they become makes my job priceless.


INTERESTS & HOBBIES:
I enjoy being on the go and always keeping busy whether that be going on holiday, meeting new people, camping in my tent, or simply heading on a walk.


My regular hobbies usually involve my dogs Lyla and Maya. I’m club captain/ head trainer at Calverley Chasers Fly Ball team where I compete regularly in national competitions and I also take them to sniffer dog training. Alongside all this, I have a little side business called ‘Let’s get Tuggie’, where I make individual canine enrichment toys from scratch.
