Partou Woodlands House Day Nursery & Pre-school provides exceptional care and education for babies and children up to the age of 5 in Idle, Bradford.

The nursery provides children with a fun, supportive learning environment where they can play in a secure outdoor area every day. Children enjoy a wide range of learning activities from Forest School sessions and dance, to numeracy, ICT and literacy. Parents stay up to date and involved with their children’s learning adventures using the nursery’s own online learning journal.

Woodlands House’s team are experienced and hold childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid certificates and safeguarding training. Every team member has enhanced DBS checks and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

The chef at Woodlands House prepares the nursery’s fresh and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks in the nursery kitchen, providing children with healthy and delicious homemade food every day. The nursery’s seasonal menu is prepared with quality, locally sourced ingredients and can be altered to meet any special dietary requirements.

Meals and snacks are included in the nursery’s fees, as well as nappies, wipes and sun cream. 15 and 30 Hours Free Childcare places are available for eligible families.

My son started at Woodlands House Private Day Nursery and Pre-school, Bradford in the baby room and is now in pre-school. He has enjoyed his time at the nursery. The staff are friendly and very helpful, they are very inclusive and have helped my son with his communication needs. The nursery has a lovely
outdoor space for the children to enjoy and the team provides well thought out activities to encourage learning through play.

Excellent nursery with friendly and helpful staff. Two of my children attend and they are both very happy and settled. They organise all sorts of fun and relevant activities for the children, for example, this weekend will be joining in with a race for life event that has been arranged. I would highly

When it came to looking for a nursery for my daughter it was a no-brainer that it would be Woodlands House.
My son who is now 9 attended the nursery from being 5 months old up until he started reception in school.
It was amazing to see that some of the same staff still worked here which goes to
show what a lovely nursery this is. It truly says something to be able to retain staff for so long!
All of the girls are welcoming and kind. They understand how it can feel to leave your child at nursery and are there to support you all the way. They communicate well and show an interest in your child.
The nursery itself is spacious and the children are kept active and engaged through all kinds of different activities. Activities your child enjoys at home are emphasised within nursery which I think is great. The nursery has a football coach who comes to see the children which I think is a lovely perk. Don't hesitate to go have a look for yourself!

Best nursery ever! Very friendly staff and the fact that my little boy doesn’t want to leave this place at home time says it all. The best part is the communication between parents and the staff. They work on every little thing parents are concerned about. My son has only been in the nursery for 6 months
but loves every single bit of it and looks forward to going there every morning.

I am so pleased that I chose this nursery for my son. He is in the baby room and goes 3.5 days a week since January. He settled in really quickly and bonded with all of the staff.
I can see from the photos on the app and his general disposition when I pick him up that he has a wonderful time there.
They always manage to do such creative activities that I wouldn't think of at home. He also eats really well at nursery and often has two helpings of dinner!
The focus on "education" at this early stage is just the right balance for me, as a former teacher myself. They follow the Early Years curriculum so that there's structure and reasoning behind the activities and assessments, without it feeling too judgemental or restrictive. I am reassured by our key worker's sense of my son's general development.
This is generally a fantastic nursery and I would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic nursery. The staff are all lovely, they put a lot of effort into activities for the children and creating a warm and nurturing environment. It's a nice small setting which feels really homely. My child looks forward to going every day and has formed strong relationships with the key workers

All staff seem to go above and beyond for the kids. If I've ever had any issues/changes I want to be made for my child, these have been addressed immediately in a polite and professional manner and I haven't had to ask again. Daily reports always include the little things, commenting on new things they've
seen her do/heard her say which shows me that they pay attention to the little ones as individuals. I've found the nursery as a whole to be very flexible/accomodating of the changing needs of my daughter. There doesn't seem to be any rigid policies that get in the way of things like weaning or toilet training, they are happy to work in tune with you as parents to support development.
The manager is equally friendly, approachable and seems to have a clear picture of what is happening across the whole nursery. It is not the biggest nursery but they are creative with the space.
My second child is due to start nursery and I would not look elsewhere now as I trust in what Woodland House offer.

When my grandson gets up on nursery days he heads for the door before he's dressed!
That's the best review I think. All the girls are kind, thoughtful, friendly and welcoming. He loves playing with the other children and taking part in art, music, reading, outdoor play and dancing.

We really appreciate all of the experiences our daughter is getting from attending Woodlands House nursery and the friendships she is able to form. Especially during these difficult covid times, it means so much to us to be able to see photos of some of the lovely activities she is involved in, as this
is the only opportunity currently available, for her to play with other children of similar ages. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic.

Both my children have attended nursery here and I couldn’t be any happier with how they have been looked after and developed. My eldest is now at Primary School but always looks forward to going to pick her little sister up from nursery and saying hello to the staff. Nothing is too much for the management

Our 9-month-old started in the baby room in January 2021. I was so worried about how she would settle, especially after not having had any interactions with other people due to COVID, but I'm so pleased with the way she has found her little feet there. The manager allowed me to take my daughter for
several settling sessions (more than the standard offered amount) so that both she and I felt happy that she was comfortable there without me. I really can't thank the staff enough for making the transition from home to the nursery so smooth. The girls in the baby room are so warm and kind and I always feel happy driving away after drop offs, knowing that she will be so well cared for. They don't even seem to mind when I call most days to check on how she is. Really looking forward to the coming months where I'm sure I will see her develop and thrive at this lovely nursery.

Charlotte Hargreaves

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2008

ABOUT ME:
I started at Woodlands House in 2008, aged 16 years old, as an apprentice where I have worked my way up whilst gaining qualifications in childcare.


In my previous position as deputy manager, I regularly stepped up to the position of acting manager whilst also assuming the position at other Just Childcare settings. I pride myself in being a go-to person for support and have used my experience to support various managers throughout recent years.

WHY CHILDCARE?
My mum used to be a childminder which means I have always been around children since a very young age. What’s more, my older sister worked in a nursery where I would often help during school holidays.


I love seeing children develop and have fun. Being able to watch the children grow into the little characters they become makes my job priceless.


INTERESTS & HOBBIES:
I enjoy being on the go and always keeping busy whether that be going on holiday, meeting new people, camping in my tent, or simply heading on a walk.


My regular hobbies usually involve my dogs Lyla and Maya. I’m club captain/ head trainer at Calverley Chasers Fly Ball team where I compete regularly in national competitions and I also take them to sniffer dog training. Alongside all this, I have a little side business called ‘Let’s get Tuggie’, where I make individual canine enrichment toys from scratch.
