What I found particularly lovely is that the staff really show an interest in the children's personal interests and base learning activities around these. If my son is ever feeling a little shy when he first arrives, the staff quickly take him to his favourite dinosaur, and he feels at ease straight away.
It is great to see the activities my son takes part in on LearningBook. He has also flourished and become much more independent since attending Woodlands. He is now able to dress himself, as well as put on his own coat and shoes. Thank you!
My daughter loves coming to nursery. Always greeted with happy, smiling faces from both staff and children. It is such a lovely comforting environment. She enjoys coming home and talking about what she has learnt and activities she has done throughout the day.
Excellent nursery with friendly and helpful staff. Two of my children attend and they are both very happy and settled. They organise all sorts of fun and relevant activities for the children, for example, this weekend will be joining in with a race for life event that has been arranged. I would highly recommend Woodlands House.
My son started at Woodlands House Private Day Nursery and Pre-school, Bradford in the baby room and is now in pre-school. He has enjoyed his time at the nursery. The staff are friendly and very helpful, they are very inclusive and have helped my son with his communication needs. The nursery has a lovely outdoor space for the children to enjoy and the team provides well thought out activities to encourage learning through play.
All staff are caring and take pride in looking after the children.
My two girls love going and my 3-year-old does not stop talking about how she loves the staff which speaks volumes!
Lovely nursery and would recommend to anyone.
All staff are amazing and my son loves going. He has progressed so much since starting in babies in April 2021. The staff always give daily updates when he is collected and always tries to tailor his learning and play around his interests. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.
My little boy started Woodlands House Private Day Nursery and Pre-school, Bradford in December. He loves it! The activities the staff do around their learning and development are amazing. They are always updating us with photographs (on learning book) every time he has been to nursery and I can see from the photos he is having lots of fun. The staff in the baby room are so friendly, welcoming and we know he is in good hands, would highly recommend this nursery.
I can see from the photos on the app and his general disposition when I pick him up that he has a wonderful time there. They always manage to do such creative activities that I wouldn't think of at home. He also eats really well at nursery and often has two helpings of dinner!
The focus on "education" at this early stage is just the right balance for me, as a former teacher myself. They follow the Early Years curriculum so that there's structure and reasoning behind the activities and assessments, without it feeling too judgemental or restrictive. I am reassured by our key worker's sense of my son's general development.
This is generally a fantastic nursery and I would recommend it to anyone.
Best nursery ever! Very friendly staff and the fact that my little boy doesn’t want to leave this place at home time says it all. The best part is the communication between parents and the staff. They work on every little thing parents are concerned about. My son has only been in the nursery for 6 months but loves every single bit of it and looks forward to going there every morning.
My son who is now 9 attended the nursery from being 5 months old up until he started reception in school.
It was amazing to see that some of the same staff still worked here which goes to show what a lovely nursery this is. It truly says something to be able to retain staff for so long!
All of the girls are welcoming and kind. They understand how it can feel to leave your child at nursery and are there to support you all the way. They communicate well and show an interest in your child.
The nursery itself is spacious and the children are kept active and engaged through all kinds of different activities. Activities your child enjoys at home are emphasised within nursery which I think is great. The nursery has a football coach who comes to see the children which I think is a lovely perk. Don't hesitate to go have a look for yourself!
Thank you, everyone.
Fantastic nursery. The staff are all lovely, they put a lot of effort into activities for the children and creating a warm and nurturing environment. It's a nice small setting which feels really homely. My child looks forward to going every day and has formed strong relationships with the key workers and other children.
The manager is equally friendly, approachable and seems to have a clear picture of what is happening across the whole nursery. It is not the biggest nursery but they are creative with the space.
My second child is due to start nursery and I would not look elsewhere now as I trust in what Woodland House offer.
That's the best review I think. All the girls are kind, thoughtful, friendly and welcoming. He loves playing with the other children and taking part in art, music, reading, outdoor play and dancing.
We can’t speak highly enough of this nursery - they have gone above and beyond to support our daughter who has additional needs. The staff are all very friendly and caring and give really helpful feedback about progress, learning and practical things. Our little one loves going she is always really happy to go in and enjoys her time there. Highly recommended!
My daughter has really started to settle into nursery and loves going. She has really progressed since starting. All the staff seem really lovely and caring. They offer a variety of food, which always sounds delicious.
My little girl only goes twice week but the development we have seen within her due to her experiences at Woodlands have been amazing. She is so confident now and her speaking has come on so quickly. She loves her days there. A big thumbs up from us for the overall service provided.
My daughter loves going to this nursery and she has improved with her speech, eating and playing so Much since starting. She always gets up happy to go there and comes home Happy too. My eldest daughter of nine also went there and loved it too.
My son is so happy and settled at nursery. He has gained so much confidence. The staff are so friendly and approachable and he loves them all. Nursery manager also very helpful. No complaints at all for anything
Such a person centred approach to looking after the children. Felt like my son was always in safe hands and great communication with staff. My sons development has come along wonderful since attending this nursery.
Both my children have attended woodlands and loved it. They have flourished and I have always been kept updated about their progress. The staff are fab and very helpful. Would definetly recommend them

Meet the Team (1)
I started at Woodlands House in 2008, aged 16 years old, as an apprentice where I have worked my way up whilst gaining qualifications in childcare.
WHY CHILDCARE?
My mum used to be a childminder which means I have always been around children since a very young age. What’s more, my older sister worked in a nursery where I would often help during school holidays.
I love seeing children develop and have fun. Being able to watch the children grow into the little characters they become makes my job priceless.
I enjoy being on the go and always keeping busy whether that be going on holiday, meeting new people, camping in my tent, or simply heading on a walk.
My regular hobbies usually involve my dogs Lyla and Maya. I’m club captain/ head trainer at Calverley Chasers Fly Ball team where I compete regularly in national competitions and I also take them to sniffer dog training. Alongside all this, I have a little side business called ‘Let’s get Tuggie’, where I make individual canine enrichment toys from scratch.
