Thorncliffe Park Day Nursery

Really great nursery - my son loves going and all the staff have been really welcoming and supportive. He's come on so much, developmentally, since starting in January and I feel really happy leaving him there knowing he's well cared for and content.

My child started the nursery in January and I can't praise all of the staff enough, every single person is welcoming and friendly in a morning. The environment is always so calm and nurturing. My son settled instantly and even on days when he has been a little bit nervous all of the staff have found ways to make him feel comfortable and happy. One of my favourite things about the nursery is the structure, the group time and solo play times give the children opportunity for independent play and group social time.

I attended the Christmas show and was so Very proud of my child, the other children and all the staff involved. The costumes were fabulous. The singing and happy faces clearly showed how much effort had been put in by everyone

Thorncliffe Day Park nursery put on a lovely Christmas workshop, well organised, and great fun activities. The staff were warm, enthusiastic, and great with the children. My son had a good time although he went a little shy. It was lovely to see him get involved in most of the activities. Thank you to the team for a great afternoon.

My little boy has been attending for 6 months now and we are so impressed by the care at Thorncliffe Park. All the staff have been so lovely, welcoming and patient and have really taken my little one under their wing. He struggled with the adjustment at first as expected, but his key worker and the rest of the staff were so supportive, really helped ease the transition & he was settled in after only a few weeks! I always look forward to picking him up at the end of the day and hearing from the workers everything he's been up to. They always talk about him like one of their own, & can tell they really care for him which is so reassuring. They're quick to pick up any concerns, and are really focused on his development. He's come out of his shell since starting nursery, he's a lot more outgoing and confident and it's been amazing to see the new skills he comes home with which is a reflection of the staff working with him. Thank you!

This is an excellent nursery with amazingly caring and interactive staff. They genuinely care for the children and go above and beyond to keep them happy and push their development. It is clean, well managed and have great food for the children

My child is quite clingy and usually attached to myself or his dad but has thrived here and built a really good bonds with everyone. I can be sure he is getting the care he needs.

It is always fresh smelling inside and they seem on top of all cleaning. They are currently having some painting completed in the rooms, so the whole place is nice and refreshed. He enjoys outside time and having the freedom to exercise there. I've seen bigger outdoor areas, but he seems very happy with the array of things to play and ride on. They have recently had refurbishment outside to that area. Meals are mostly vegetarian with some fish dishes (for those that have it) which suits us as he is vegetarian. I'm often told he has eaten more than one portion!

All the staff are incredibly welcoming and continue to be so patient with myself and the transition of my LO starting nursery. It's an incredibly overwhelming time and I can't articulate how the whole team have made leaving my little girl in their care so much easier. The difference I see in her development, growth and the friendships she's made is wonderful, my LO has the best connection with her key worker that I'm beyond grateful to see.

The nursery is lovely! The key workers really care for the children and my son always has a lovely day there and comes home happy. They take notice of your child's interests and make sure to tailor what they do to suit each child.

Upon arrival, the nursery is found to be clean and warm, incorporating two doors for enhanced safety. The high placement of door handles effectively prevents unsupervised access by children.

Morning greetings are consistently welcoming and pleasant. The nursery staff are consistently kind, approachable, and demonstrably pleased to see the children.

Age-appropriate rooms, each well-equipped with a variety of toys, are a significant advantage.

I am happy for my child to be with thorncliffe. They are brilliant with my little girl who has additional needs they are very supportive with her and also communicating with myself on pickup with progress and what they doing moving forward. The staff are warm and welcoming and very attentive towards the children i have nothing but positivity for them all and the manager is very easy to approach and will answer any questions or queries given.

My only complaint is the pack lunch situation which I'm unsure still stands? I'd have my daughter in every day 8-3 if possible however she is an incredibly fussy Eater and simply wouldn't eat cooked meals provided as we struggle at home so she simply wouldn't eat all day unless a pack up was provided.

My son really enjoys going to this nursery, his face lights up when he sees his key staff, and the rest of the staff. We can see how fond the staff are of him and how well interacted with and looked after he is. He started when he was under 1 and now going on 2 he has come on leaps and bounds and shows so much confidence at nursery and has such a connection with the nursery staff. The nursery itself is lovely bright and full of interactive things for the children and the parents to see what they're up to, it's always clean and homely.

My son has attended this nursery since he was 1 years old and is now 3! We love everything about the nursery and everyone here is so welcoming and nice! They go out their way to accommodate you. My 8 month old baby will be starting soon too and we can't wait.

My toddler is having a fantastic time there, he is well taken care of. I am very happy that I chose this daycare. The staff and team are extremely nice, friendly and supportive! Would definitely recommend this daycare to parents.

I am very happy with Thorncliffe Park Day Nursery. The staff are very helpful and great with my daughter. She has a great time there and has learnt so much since starting. She has been there for over a year now and I could not fault them. They have lots of activities available for the children to do and a great outdoor play area. They provide a variety of cooked meals which my daughter enjoys and healthy snacks too!

We could not be happier with Thorncliffe Park Day Nursery and are so glad we chose to send our child there. The staff are all amazing, very knowledgeable about all children not just those they are key workers for and you can tell they really care and are dedicated to their jobs. They communicate well with us and we feel reassured that our child is in good hands, doing a variety of engaging and educational activities and eating a fabulous and varied menu of foods.

After a bad experience at another local nursery, Thorncliffe Park Day Nursery went above and beyond to make me and my child feel welcome and supported. All staff, even those not in direct contact with my child on a day-to-day basis (in other rooms), showed us both so much compassion and patience and all rooted for her success. All calm but firm. Helped her however she would let them. Could not have expected to be in a better position starting school and year ago when starting here. Couldnt speak highly enough about everyone here!
