Sunshine Day Nursery

My daughter spent six months at this nursery after her's was unexpectedly closed. The staff were fantastic from the initial phone call to see if they had a place. Really efficient at getting paperwork to us and getting her started as quickly as possible. My daughter absolutely loves going; she adores all the staff and has had a fantastic experience all through her time there. She will really miss it when she leaves for school. Communication is excellent between parents and staff, and they have always been really friendly and helpful. Brilliant nursery.

My daughter has been going to Sunshine Day Nursery for the last two years and is now leaving for school. The best decision I ever made was sending her to this nursery; she used to cry at first, but the staff were amazing - not only did they comfort her, but they also made me feel at ease too. They reassured me and said I could call whenever I wanted, which I was so happy with as it was the first time leaving her, I felt anxious too. She's now thriving with confidence, and she's made lots of new friends. She always comes out in a brilliant mood with lots to tell me about her day and can't wait to go back the next day. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. My little boy is 8 weeks old, and I'll be putting his name down too. Thank you for everything! Truly an amazing nursery with brilliant staff.

The option to have extra hours (subject to a suitable staff-to-children ratio being met) on the odd occasion to cover extra work commitments has been invaluable.

Sunshine Day Nursery has been wonderful. The staff were great, and the care they've provided for my child was remarkable. The management was accommodating and happily answered all my queries.

My son has been attending nursery for the last 3 years, moving through rooms and key workers. He has thrived in the care, and from his first day, he has been nurtured and encouraged to be himself. Staff have allowed him to develop his interests whilst encouraging him to try new things and challenge himself. We are happy with all the hard work, which has clearly gone into helping prepare him for school in what must have been a really difficult year, but more importantly, we are happy to pick up a confident, happy boy with a smile on his face and stories to tell at the end of each day. Thank you for having so much fun with him!

My little boy started when he was 11-month- old; he’s now 5 and attends the holiday club.

He absolutely loved going to nursery. All the staff are amazing, friendly and went out of their way to ensure his needs and wishes were met at all times, as well as ensuring his development was continuing to progress alongside establishing amazing relationships with him.

The activities are fun, appealing and inviting, yet challenging and stimulating! All of the staff go above and beyond to ensure parents and children are happy, safe and listened to.

The nursery supported my sons dairy intolerance in the baby room and also was amazing in supporting us as a family with regards to overcoming eating habits by providing a wide range of choices in meals to encourage his fear of food and advice we followed at home too. The food provided by the nursery is appetising with zero added salt in all meals and varied.

Our son attended Sunshine nursery for the past 3-years. The staff have been very helpful and friendly every step of the way. They respected our beliefs and treated our child with kindness and consideration. Stringent measures were introduced to keep our child safe during the pandemic, and due to these measures, we were all safe, and our son never missed out. Our son feels confident and able to express himself freely. We are immensely grateful to the staff and management of Sunshine.

The staff were friendly environment was well equipped indoors and outdoors.

My child took a long time to come out of his shell and be willing to talk to his teachers, but through their patience and perseverance, he became more confident and trusting. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care they have shown my child.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery, she is always keen to go in the morning. The staff are lovely and friendly and you can tell they adore the children.

My only slight complaint is sometimes they come home looking rather bedraggled. I appreciate they are toddlers and messy play is good. But it they are covered in food/paint it would be nice if they were changed into their spare outfit. This always happened in the baby room but never seems to happen in the toddler room unless they are wet.

My daughter has been at this nursery for only 6 weeks and although she cried a lot at the start she's starting to settle in now. The staff have been amazing. Really helpful, nice and friendly. All the staff say hello from the other teachers to the kitchen staff. It really feels like a happy place! My daughter seems to be learning lots while being there. From sharing toys to almost walking, I definitely feel being in a safe and caring environment has brought her along.

The staff are genuine and approachable especially for those nervous about leaving their little ones. The nursery appears to have a brilliant attitude towards educating these little minds. Both my children have been characters to look after and it's been a real pleasure to know the staff also appreciate the same individuality that most parents see in their children. The environment is warm and welcoming and I would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely place for their children to start.

I feel really confident in leaving my daughter on a daily basis knowing that she is looked after very well.

A safe, clean, fun and educational environment. I never worry when I leave my girl as I know she is safe hands.

Can't fault the staff or nursery they have been excellent. The staff are great and are always so supportive to not only the children but parents too. They have done wonders with both my children and even put in a referral for my son which was great and worked with him to help bring him on. The nursery is outstanding with the care and attention they give and I would recommend these to anyone thinking of sending their children there.

We have used Sunshine Day Nursery since September 2014 when our son was 6 months old. I highly recommend the facility as the staff are wonderful and so friendly that it now feels like we are extended family. The nursery is very supportive through weaning and potty training and our son loves spending time with his friends at Sunshine - we can't say enough good things about it!!
