Partou Whalley Meadows Day Nursery & Forest School in Clitheroe provides exceptional care and education for babies and children up to the age of five.

As an official Forest School, Whalley Meadows is a place where children enjoy stimulating learning activities in an inspirational natural environment. The children regularly learn in the great outdoors; building dens, exploring woodlands developing their social skills in the fresh air.

Children at the nursery enjoy a wide range of learning activities from Forest School sessions and dance, to numeracy, ICT and literacy. Parents stay up to date and involved with their children’s development using the nursery’s own online learning journal.

The Whalley Meadows team are experienced and hold childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid certificates and safeguarding training. Every team member has enhanced DBS checks and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

The chef at Whalley Meadows prepares the nursery’s fresh and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks in the nursery kitchen, providing children with healthy and delicious homemade food every day. The nursery’s seasonal menu is prepared with quality, locally sourced ingredients and can be altered to meet any special dietary requirements.

Meals and snacks are included in the nursery’s fees, as well as nappies, wipes and sun cream. 15 and 30 hours free childcare places are available for eligible families.

Our little girl has been at Whalley Meadows since she was 11 months old. Now 2 years old, she is happy to be at nursery and will talk to us about what she has been doing. Her confidence has grown and it makes us so happy to know that she enjoys herself there. She even asks to go to nursery on her days
off which shows how much she values her time there. The staff are always very friendly and happy to talk both at drop off and pick up times.

Our son is so well cared for at this nursery. When we arrive at the building he starts waving as he's so happy to see the place! He's fed like a King and the meals are extremely healthy and nutritious. All the staff know and care for him, and his key worker is like a second Mammy to him. We feel very
welcome at Whalley Meadows and know our son is in safe hands all day.

Our Son loves it at nursery and we know he is very well looked after. The activities provided are really varied. The food is amazing. Our son particularly enjoys playing outside and this is something that he gets to do a lot of. The staff do a fantastic job looking after the children and are happy to
provide you with lots of information about your child's day when you go to collect them. I would highly recommend Whalley Meadows. We know our son has plenty to do, has made lots of friends and is very well cared for. What more could you want?

My daughter has attended Whalley Meadows since she was 9 months old, she has absolutely loved it and learned so much. The staff are all very welcoming and hard working, they have helped my little one become who she is today. Forest School has been fantastic, she can't wait to tell me what she's been

Both my children have attended Whalley Meadows and I would wholeheartedly recommend them. My children have loved it and make lots of friends. The Forest School is a great adventure and the food always smells amazing. There is a great outdoor space for the children to explore. The rooms are large and
bright with plenty to keep children entertained. All the staff are very friendly and have a genuine interest in your child and their needs. Thank you!

My son has been attending this nursery for just under a year now, he seems very happy when I leave and pick him up. All the staff seem very nice and are very caring towards my son. The only thing I’m slightly hesitant about is the staffing ratio, in the mornings when they are all there for breakfast,
seems very busy.

Thank you to all the lovely staff at Whalley Meadows. It asks for no names on the review but my son’s key worker has been fantastic as have all the staff in the preschool room.
Forest School has been excellent.
All the staff are friendly and approachable. They are professional, caring and enthusiastic.
My son has very much enjoyed his time here.

Sending my daughter to Whalley Meadows for her pre-school education was one of the best decisions I have made as a parent.
The teachers there have created a special warm and nurturing environment which has been a great stepping stone for my daughter. Fun, french, forest schools. This nursery has it
all.
She has come on leaps and bounds and we have been supported as parents.

Our daughter has attended the nursery since approximately 9 months old. She has always been a little reserved but it has been amazing watching her grow into a very happy and confident little girl as she now prepares for school. Our son has just learnt how to use the potty and all the staff have been
extremely helpful. When both children talk about how much they love the staff, you know they are in completely safe hands. One of the best decisions we ever made was choosing this nursery for our children. The staff simply can't do enough, they are very caring and helpful.

The Ofsted rating says it all, Outstanding! My daughter has been attending since 6 months old and I have never had any concerns. My daughter has progressed leaps and bounds, from feeling new textures, experiencing outdoor bugs and developing her own cheeky personality. The freedom for creativity and
imaginary play is amazing! If my daughter comes home with paint in her hair, I know she’s had an adventurous day! They have a fabulous new outside play area where the children can play with muddy kitchens and experience Santa’s Grotto in the winter, with snow too! I could go on forever about the amazing things this nursery provides for my daughter.
This is all down to the wonderful manager and her incredible team! I can’t thank you enough for the time, patience and love you have given and continue to give to my daughter. The Whalley Meadows Family are truly invaluable and should be massively proud!
